  1. Question - For those states where you have to get road worthy’s half or yearly you would need to get an engineering cert for this mod yes? As it’s not strictly bolt straight on mod and was never designed for Aurion from the word go? Even though kluger’s underpinnings are closely related to Aurion?
  2. yes fair to say this is more of an individual engine issues and not so much as an issue of the engine design as you’ve noticed nobody has really had any dramas other than those outlined by recalls with the 2GR-FE. Sucks to hear of your issue though mate!
  3. damnnn you quit with your exhaust/induction mods.... only cause it sounds better than mine ahahahahahahaha :D :P

I dunno i reckon to 160 the aurion would leave one of these for dead. 205nm really is puny and as speeds rise it’s all about torque. Also remember in every test done by magazines Aurion’s 0-100 time has being 6.8seconds sooo yeah id think the Aurion will be a quicker car in a straight line. but of course we know the world is our oyster when it comes to tunning. Can’t wait to spy this sucker in Japan land p

LOl almost got caught out with the paddles on the steering wheel. on the inside shot it looked like manual tranny with paddle shift and i was thinking wtf hows that work!! till i clicked on a few other links whicg showed some more pics of the manual style shifter for the auto lol

    New FT-86

lol under 30k won't happen. thats Corolla coin. starting prices no doubt will be 39,990. still pretty cheap though!
  11. Do it you know you want to! lol yeah ill get one when i come back from Japan etc, unless i bring one back ahahha

    New FT-86

Yes, but this is not my style. We'll see how photoshop compares to real-world mods. Plus, same size front and rear rotors will never be seen with a good design. The black vehicle in these pictures is a real modded 86 it's not photoshoped.. It belongs to a tuning house called Japanese parts & performance. As highlighted a few times now many tuning houses have their hands on the vehicle already and are producing a host of performance parts so you can basically buy your 86 out of the dealership and straight to them.

    New FT-86

Oh yeah 86 has Potential! look at the size of the damn brakes on this thing!! with the weight of the car it would stop hard on it's nose all day every day probably until it's severed your head right off lol

    New FT-86

No doubt there will be some accessory stylings add ones you can option up like from lip spoilers, high mount rear spoiler and bigger wheels. Although hopefully the stock wheels won’t be the ones in these pics but the other wheel that has been on a few other cars.

Subaru has released details of the BRZ to the press. http://www.carsales.com.au/news/2011/sports/subaru/tokyo-motor-show-subaru-brz-revealed-27852 I think the 86 is the better looking car. interestingly there no mention of a turbo model again...

lol Yerp old news now mate hence my previous comment. " Lol sources indicate that tuning houses already have 86's to play with. So power up kits will be pretty much available from day one. ORRRR maybe we can squeeze a 2GR-FSE in there 233kw now that's some proper power/weight going in there!"

    New FT-86

You hit the nail on the head. If I'm to spend over $40k on a sports car I want 0-100 in under 6 seconds and great handling. Lol sources indicate that tuning houses already have 86's to play with. So power up kits will be pretty much available from day one. ORRRR maybe we can squeeze a 2GR-FSE in there :P 233kw now that's some proper power/weight going in there!

    New FT-86

Yep, this car broke my heart... The version 2 style is too much bling for me. Apples and Oranges... but.... the Aurion puts down more at the wheels than the FT-86 does at the flywheel. I know I'm being a tool and I understand this car is about something else but, in 2011 0 to 100 is more important than handling. Well i don't know about more important. Maybe in the eyes of your run of mill aussie bogan it is but i believe it’s no less or more important than steering handling and braking. True sports car should do all these things well.

    New FT-86

Quick check of the specs. The 86 is 5mm shorter than a ZRE152 Hatch, 15mm wider, 215!mm lower! With a 30mm shorter wheelbase. Front wheel tracks 4mm narrower at the front and the rears 19mm wider! Just trying to imagine a manual corolla with half as much power again. might actually not be such a bad thing. Certainly will do the handling thing anyway.

    New FT-86

Dirty old 147kw and 205nm@millionbillion RPM!! lucky the thing will handle and stop because pretty much every 6cyl sports sedan will blow its doors off in a straightline...
  21. lol Good Chance K&N may see a slight spike in SRI sales shortly haha
  22. 1) The whine is fairly quiet when you compare it to a traditional roots blower. If you have aftermarket mufflers fitted, they pretty much drown most of it out. TVS whine, LOL. 2) It doesn't roar like the N/A Aurion because the supercharger muffles the induction roar. TBH, the N/A Aurion with intake sounds more aggressive than the TRD with intake. True they are alot quiter than a traditional charger but there is still some wine there but yeah guess the charger does alter the noise. Most modern s/c engines these days are queiter and smoother than their n/a brothers. although perhaps the Aurion is different in atleast the quietness point of view.

    Little Rants

Ahh see now that's where your going wrong lol your jumping on the wrong pedal... should be squeezing the righthand pedal a little bit more haha
  24. lol does everything still work as it should........ After hearing these things on Scoota's with an exhaust these things would sound absolutely mental with the TVS supercharger wine!
  25. That's correct. The normal 15000kms/12months and severe interim 7500kms/6months servicing schedule is to be ignored and shelved once your used car warranty kicks in which as mentioned early in most warranty policies is 6months or 10000kms whichever occurs first. scnerio2! you buy your Aurion new and also purchase the extended extra car warranty.... you service your car every 15000kms/12months (& do the interim service if operating in harsh environments) until your 4 TSA services or 60,000kms are up and then you continue to service your vehicle at the same kms/time schedule as before just of course without the benefit of the capped price. All clear lol?
