  1. Here's some Picture's of the red LED lamps from Thailand, the same lamps that Paradigm has on his car just the red ones. I also used water proof quick release connections should i need to remove the bumper in the future. Fair to say nobody can say they didnt see my brake lights lol
  2. The vehicle in the images here will be our "Presara" and unlike the 40 series which was totally designed for the Australian market and created as a "sports sedan" the new 50 series is made with the middle eastern customer in mind and what suits them which is more bling and VIP look rather than "aggressive looking muscular" sporty sedan. From what I’ve heard read and seen i think many current gen Aurion owners particular Sportivo and TRD owners will feel slightly ripped off with the new vehicle. However Presara owners will love the new car. Without anybody taking the ***** i think if i was to replace mine with another Toyota saloon car it may just be the new HSD Camry. Kind of makes the 86 look like the goer for the next bus hmm or a Hilux SR5? We will just have to wait and see if they totally transform the Sportivo model into a package that can back up the way it looks. If so then it will be model that is completely the reverse of its sibling variants. Watch this space!
  3. lol i found out and seen even more yesterday. The images of the Presara we have seen are near as make no difference spot on. Lots of chrome just like the middle eastern and Indonesian markets like as you have to remember this is there "Camry" so a lot of Aurion's design and features and how they like a car to drive are with them in mind this time around.. (Maybe think along the lines of Crown as opposed to G6E or Calais V) However obviously the cars are all retuned for how Australians Tastes and our love for handling and dynamics. Then there is the new Sportivo...... which is well ummm.. Yeah you wouldn’t call it ermm boring? I'd love to go into it further but all this information really is shared with us in confidence but i will say that the information and images that people have posted on here from various links are all heading in the right direction.
  4. Just went and looked it up for you. These part numbers should be right for your car but I’d double check though. The remote comes in sections, the main key fob and then the little key that slips inside. Main key Fob and Battery P/N: 89904-33181 - $407.08 Blank Master Key P/N: 69515-52120 - 84.44 $491.52 is a long way short of what you have being quoted. I’d move along to your next Toyota Dealership lol.

    2012 Camry

Whilst were on the subject of Safety, The new Camry range scored one of Ancap's highest scores and is the "safest" Australian built vehicle. It scored 36.4 out of 37.

    2012 Camry

There certainty is not safety issues with the current head rests HOWEVER, the Australian engineers are not thrilled about them and after complaints from customers are working to get these changed. Who knows when this may happen though.
  7. Tonight i fitted the rest of the interior L.E.D lights so she’s all blue and white on the inside. Fiddled with the sound system some more to get some extra nice tight punchy top end and now i have a full graphics eq coming for it as well then to finish off i fixed the bonnet release cable that had slipped off the latch lol
  8. lol getting ripped! Genuine Smart Keys are "only" around $430.00 from memory plus tunning in of course.

    2012 Camry

Holy crap the do it so that they can sell the car for the same price as it was before. They just kept added features without taking something out the majority of people ever use the price for the humble Camry would be ridiculous. They also need to leave headroom for extra features for the flagship model Aurion. We have a engineer/dealer trainer coming today to take us through Atara so I’ll the question but pretty sure i know what the answer will be. Wow it's also very alarming that people don’t know what half the safety features do/are for in their cars.

    2012 Camry

You sit in the back of your own car enough for this to annoy you? i don't think I’ve eve sat in the back seat of my car lol. It would be difficult to make the rear ones go back and forward as they are sunk into the seat. They can’t go any further back than they already are. Like i mentioned before the front ones don’t go back and forward because they are "WIL" seats and it affects the operation of the active head restraints. Goosenecks are crap and annoying but I’d be really surprised if that got changed in 2014 as this would require a rework of the boot structure.
  13. Well yes technically in that market they look like Aurion but powered by Camry and Badged Camry. There's only a few export market that actually get the Aurion name.
  14. Oh nice, knocked him the f*ck into next week lol

    2012 Camry

No the headrest can’t be moved forwards and backwards. it severely affects how the active head restraints operate. VW has worked away round this and it's f@rking hopeless and looks god ugly. Sucks they kept the goosenecks but they won’t be fixed on the facelift but radar cruise, rear LED's and HID headlamps apparently will be added to the range.
  16. LOl i think we all went WTF when we watched it for the first time and had to do a second take just to make sure it was An Aurion.

    Quick 86 Review

LOl i've tried banning myself from these pages so i stop wanting one. and for all its impracticality every time i see one especially seeing one in the flesh i just want , want WANTT!
  18. Yeah like i said if you were to take a poll at your next bbq you would find the result was 50/50. the way Toyota set it up logically make sense push up for a higher gear and push down for a lower one however when you getting stuck in and having a go it really feels quite back to front. This is further annoying in cars were more performance potential such as the IS350/GS350 F-Sport and ISF but they like new Atara have paddle shift technology which is better again
  19. Yeah that's right it isn’t going to make the shifts any slower or faster. it just simply feels more "natural" to have them the other what around like Falcon and Commodore does. Apparently though the world is somewhat split on which way is "better" I personally prefer the opposite way to how the Aurion (& all Toyota's are) Just seems better to be pushing and pulling back with the way the "g forces" of the car are going.
  20. Well I'll be damned. Learn something new every day. That said, DIY modification cost nil and the shape of the replacement trim appears to be slightly different from the Aurion: http://www.trdparts....ortshifter.html As well, the trim bit is kinda stuck in place by means of those tabs which they melt to lock it in and for some reason, things don't feel the same when reassembled. I planned on 'scratching out the black to make the minus a plus and then colour in the top and bottom of the plus to make a minus. I then gave up and figured that it's not THAT important. Yeah that's right the DIY way costs nothing and as long as you can live with the +/- being the wrong what then is probably the way to go. The TRD part should fit Aurion but you will just loose the "Shift lock" button. However Paradigm and i have taken gear selection panel out of one of our cars can’t remember who's when we was painting our centre consoles. And mine is still quite tight no squeaks or though i think we may of got some adhesive in here and there to make it all fit back together properly again. Can’t really remember. But anyway there are two different methods in which the sequential shift can be swapped.

    2012 Camry

Couldn’t find where the rest of head rest comment came from but yes they are adjustable in the same way as 40 series Camry and Aurion was.

    2012 Camry

Well not that it's an issue in Oceania/middle east as all the Camry's are built in Australia. We do not have any imported Camry's coming into Australia (except ones privately brought in) there all built here. But as Altona is regarded by TMC to build the best Camry's anywhere in the world so if there was a difference it would be to the Australia built vehicle's advantage.
  23. TRD also offer a shifter reverse kit as well. Gives you the little module and a new gear position indicator with TRD signature. P/N: 84702-GS800. From memory it was about $120.00 or something like that.
  24. Can't really see that as much of a drama since the intake set up into the charger is pretty much the same with the objection to few butterflies here and there as the N/A engine. There no intercooler so that doesn’t needed to be considered and really the transmission cooler is only a relatively small one so that's no biggie at all. A few of us have fitted larger ones behind the Sportivo bar which still get plenty of air flow. Front bar was really just to generate better airflow because well that’s never a bad thing and look more aggressive and aid high speed down force and stability.
  25. Interestingly these are the very Bolts that they usually check and tighten during a service.
