  1. Seems to depend on how you treat the brakes, Most of us running Remsa would say there a million times better than the OEM pads and all the Bendix pads available when it comes to the amount of dust produced however a few members have found them worse so i guess it comes down to your personal driving style. Remember Remsa make OEM pads for the likes of Porsche a couple of other big name super car makers as well as the pads for the Z06 and ZR1 Vettes so it would simply be unacceptable for these kinds of cars to have pads that squealed or produced mammoth amounts of dust. They must of course have good feel cold or hot as well..
  2. As in the: Well there you go, you do learn something new everyday after all. Guess i never bothered to look at the differences between the rotors outside of the diameter and thickness.
  3. Hmm Adaptor plates? of what kind? I have the TRD package on my Sportivo and it was a simple case of pull Sportivo rotor off and put larger TRD one? lol
  4. lol How longs a piece of strong? Will depend on colour and kilometres on board. We sold our dark grey D4-D Auto SR5 Dual cab with just under 10,000kms for $53,990 D/A. So a manual equivalent should have gone for a couple k less. But it can also depend on if the vehicle has Demo assistants or not. Despite what the general population thinks, Car dealerships do not have million billion dollars of margin in a car to play with so forget the idea that your going to get 10k off or anything silly like that. There simply is not that kind of money to play with in a car. The only body that gets rich off you buying a car is the govt. Now if the vehicle you find doesn’t have demo assistance then getting a good price and something thrown in just isn’t going to be a reality SIMPLE as that! You can’t have what doesn’t exist, been a demo it’s likely to have a few accessories on it anyway. In a Hilux's case it’s likely to be rubber floor mats and a towbar, maybe a Ute liner if you’re lucky. But if it doesn’t then your unlikely to get much as the margin is all used up to get it down to that price. Most popular colours for Hilux are heron white, sterling silver and dark grey. Leather should cost around the 2k mark with many allowing you to have text on the seats, SR5 for example. Good luck and happy hunting.

    Quick 86 Review

lol Wheels mag head line from June's issue. " TOYOTA BEATS PORSCHE! 86 WINS. WORLD CHANGES FOREVER..." First the LF-A knocks off Ferrari's and Lambo's best and now the 38k Toyota 86 Coupe is as capable as a Porsche... there's a disturbance in the force i feel!
  6. Lol yes i think we’ve all come to the sad conclusion that the jurno's in this country are not the most switched on or often all that correct when ti comes to trim levels haha.
  7. lol i don’t think you need to be any sort of rocket scientist to see DJ is here. Heck there’s even a hint if you read back lol.
  8. Holy Smack! Camry Hybrid has got the winning knod from the jurno's in a head to head clash with Fords new Ecoboost Falcon and the "tired" VE Commodore 3.0 SIDI. http://www.carsales.com.au/reviews/2012/large-passenger/ford/camry/eco-friendly-aussie-family-sedan-comparison-30261 How will the "bogans" sleep at night now? LOL
  9. Just gave the old girl her 60,000kms service. Damn thing still only has 54,000kms on it swear to god its done crap all kms the last 6 months.. other than that it must be time to get the camber, toe in/out and wheel allignment reset again. Back to how i want it not "there she'll be right close enough" crap that seem to get around the town lately lol
  10. Yeah you’re quite right. Only really suitable for the guys going for the VIP look for their AT-X. I guess you could take out the fog lamps if you wanted to get new bumper inserts but personally id prefer to have fog/driving lights. :)
  11. I priced up the series two front end for somebody else 6 or so months ago, i can't remember the exact price but it was slightly more expensive than series one but not by a great deal certainly not a deal breaker.
  12. umm no? they are two seperate posts lol
  13. Just for a sh!t giggle i just measured a 40 series touring here in the showroom and it's all over the show too.Measuring from the centre of the wheel on the ground to the centre of the guard lip: LHF 71.5cms, LHR 72.5cms, RHR:72.25cms, RHF 70.5cms.
  14. Lol frustrating is the word! Mine sits slightly higher at the back and also slightly higher by a few mm's on the passenger’s side.
  15. I was coming back from Agfest yesterday down here in Tassie and seen the first white Sportivo we sold that had just been picked up on the highway and coming straight on it actually looked pretty menacing. i think well grow to like the front but the back defiantly is going to need a few drinks before that looks the biz haha.
  16. Bud shoot me through your VIN or rego and i'll get it priced up for you. It's not that expensive. iI replaced my whole front end when i shattered it on my driveway lol. :)
  17. SWEEETT i can see these at the next Big outdoor or arena concert near you, no longer to we need expensive complicated science based Wave Guide Line Array Systems from Nexo, D&B, Adamson, Myer, Acoustics, EAW etc just a bunch of stacked wheelie bins with a shed load of speakers in them. Sonic excellence and dispersion? I think YES. ahahaha classic. Where do i sign up? NO serious where.. lol
  18. I haven’t driven an AT-X didn't overly interest me when we have Presara's and ZR6's too. Sat in Prodigy but that will drive just like Presara. Only difference is the interior which i think is nicer than Presara's as it has a lot less faux wood trim. Prodigy interior with Presara's features would suit me just fine. Much like Presara the ZR6 has grown up a lot on the inside. Much quieter and just an all-round nicer place to be. Makes me a little sad to get back into mine actually haha. Audio systems and their connectivity are great and will keep the average punter more than happy with the JBL Ecoedge system in Presara and ZR6 been more than enough sound for anybody other than those who really love great clean audio. It's pretty good (for factory) but can’t compare to any half decent aftermarket system a few of us run. Sportivo seems to have better body control than it did before and feels "pointer" suspension is on the firm side of things without been bone jarring and id said its defiantly got better low speed ride quality (you know how the old one could be a little jittery?) Brakes i wouldn’t say stop the car any better but it does have a stronger pedal feel. The new EPS has quite an initial dead feel to it just off centre but weights up fine the more lock you wind on. Sportivo does feel more responsive than the luxury model though in its EPS tune however. (Like you would expect) Over all it defiantly is a nicer car to drive and be in. with the new induction design the 2GR-FE does sound slightly different, less sewing machine but it hasn’t got rid of the Singer sound completely. Does however rev even smoother to the redline i think and you can feel a slight bit of performance gain although that could just be the placebo as I’ve been told .3 quicker to 100km/h so want to believe it. U660E is a smarter sharper tool especially in the performance mode in particular on the Sportivo's. Like the Atara's the Paddles are defiantly a good gain and work much better than the centre console shifter. Fairly quick to respond on upshifts but better on down shifts as it blips the throttle. Better but still not as good as say the IS350, GS350 and IS-F systems. However there is the issue with the paddles that because there steering wheel mounted when you have a bit of lock on its easily to lose track of which paddle is + and - but of course you can still use the centre console for when that situation arises. All in all it's a great natural progression to the vehicle it's just perhaps the looks of the car which may be a sticking point. I Personally are not a huge fan of how Sportivo looks but in saying that i don't mind it in White and blue but maybe I’m just getting old but i like the luxury look of Presara. BUTTTT in 6 months well all be used to how it looks and wondered what all the fuss was about in the first place!
  19. Was just cruising about on Ebay (as you do) and came across these for pre face lift 06-09 Aurion. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Aurion-2006-2009-06-09-DRL-Daytime-Running-LED-wo-Fog-Light-Cover-TOYOTA-/320854583369?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ab46c6849
  20. Was kicking about in the Presara today and wow it doesn’t take long for you to realise how much more grown up, quiet and refined the 50 series is. Just feels like quality. New NVH package is a highlight. Interior feels great although i still prefer the looks of Atara's inside but everything is at your finger tips. Can defiantly see the push to the "Luxury" side of things there trying to make with this new car.
  21. Fantasic car! has such a presence on the road. & the noise the V6 makes, why does the IS350 F Sport sound like an Aurion compared to these things?. whole car just blew me away. Might even wait a little longer for these suckers to start appearing at our dealer auctions and jump in one of these instead of the IS350.

    Quick 86 Review

Woah the 86 Brothers will even be available in some nice colours instead of the normal bland white and silver!
  23. Lol who do we see about getting a like button. Sucky situation there mate. wish you all the best for the future though!
  24. YZZA1 sounds like the factory fill oil filter. Pretty much every Toyota comes from the facory with a different oil filter number from the one you'll use from the first service. Thats why you won't find any details on these filters.
