  1. Hmm Presara in Black looks veryyyyy classy and dare i say even Lexusish??? in other news Aurion's ANCAP result has arrived not that Toyota gives a great deal of merit to the way they go about it but none the less the Aurion out trumps Camry (which was one of the highest rating cars ever tested) and receives a score of 36.57 out of 37.00, have to be happy with that!
  2. Yeah they certainly gets the thumbs up for looks and i too don’t have an issue with the cover they provide but can understand how some users would find them nothing sort of useless lol.
  3. yeah this is true the slim lines certainly are a far classier looking shield with their low profile look but mainly it's because they have the chrome strip as opposed to the larger ones been all plastic which to my eyes just look silly. You have chrome plastic and then chrome chrome again and it just doesn’t do it for me. So if you just want something to allow you to crack your window a few cm's in summer then slime lines are the go but if you actually want them to be useable when you’re driving then do yourself a favour and suck up the less attractiveness and get the full size ones :)
  4. Fantasic that's great news Naomi. enjoy your new Prius C :)
  5. FYI Guys Aurion Stocks, Brochures, banners etc should hit Dealers from Monday. We already have some stuff for the launch just waiting on cars now :P
  6. Not a bad looking car at all. sort of looks like Current Gen IS sedan with the new corporate GS front and interior. ill assume the V6 is the RX350's "trim & Spec" of the 2GR-FE and good to see the fantastic Camry Hybrid powertrain powering other cars.
  7. Lol it's a how long is a piece of string type scenario. Depends how much you’re willing to spend as to what options are open to you? Peddars and Kings have heavy duty standard height springs which will take a load better without compressing but of course trade off would be ride quality and then of course there is the lowered spring which are also "firmer" so that’s one way of sorting it out without having to change shocks. Or you could go airbag suspension or coil over suspension which would offer plenty of adjustment but like i said all comes down to the $$$$.
  8. It's actually a wonder this hasn't come up sooner. When i had the shaft replaced on mine the same thing happened to my car. Although it hadn’t slipped it simply was just never put back on but that’s another story haha.. i would describe the noise as a "vacuum leak" or something but in reality all your hearing is the "true" sewing machine noise of the 2GR :)
  9. LOL might make question time worth watching you reckon? haha - how many of you seen i had posted in here again and thought it was round 2 :P
  10. RWD will never compare to FWD! you will die trying! adding sports brake lines, pissy see through to the pad callipers, Motec, Suspension, Strut bars, nolathane bushes, Tien suspension etc doesn't make it a TRD! your quite immature if you think it's a TRD or FWD will handle better than a RWD, here is a nice little easy to understand video. I'm over these forums, if people are under the consensus FWD is the king and an Aurion (actually the same as USA Camry) is some kind of super beast of a car. FFS it's a FWD Camry with pulling issues and interior rattles! Dude you are actually a complete eff tard of a joke. Are you even old enough to drive? You need to go back to school because you can't compose an argument to save yourself. s**t you can't even get your OWN argument straight.. Pretty sure you meant FWD can never compare to RWD you will die trying.. GOOD ONE Nobody is saying fwd has any performance advantages to RWD or AWD (except perhaps in the snow) but that does not mean that it automatically makes them a hopeless car. Just because you clearly DO NOT have the natural driving talent or skills needed to actually be able to drive FWD's does not mean there crap. Do you also ride off and think a Golf GTI. Scirocco R, Focus RS and Renault Meganne Cup Trophee 250 are also crap because there fwd? You’re a joke and along with your previous 31 posts shall be taken with a grain of sand. You’re also quite uneducated but then yeah i guess you would know more about a Toyota then somebody who works for them aye. Also RE: TRD you actual don’t understand what TRD is and about do you? They make PARTS! You put a Motec computer in your car or Tein suspension or a Harrop supercharger, what do people do? Add a badge or sticker... TRD parts are no different.... it’s just uneducated clowns like yourself that can’t wrap their heads around it that have any issues.. FANTASIC when do you plan on deleting your account, can anyone here help you do it faster? We’ll sure miss you BAHAHAHAHA
  11. hey mate you know my pics the one with the damper adjustment caps just beside it have 4 alan key holes are those camber adjustment? those is for angel the tyres position? my is come like this show in my pics, they all sits in the middle is this a correct position? Because i saw the other guys in this forums his using bc coils also but his camber adjustment is open to the max not like my they sit in the middle. Yeah that is to change the camber of the wheels. It's going to take a while to find the best balance between tyre wheels, straight line stability and "turn in" and initial cornering feel/response as these things can be either slightly or massively affected when changing camber values. Now that vehicle chassis are stiffer with less flex and everybody is running larger tyres with stiffer sidewalls there’s less tyre distortion so generally road cars aren’t running much camber at all these days, they get there steering response and turn in from how the castor is set. But as a general guide it's ideal to run just a slight bit of negative camber on the front and either dial the rear to a neutral "0" or just a touch of positive I’ve run both and it make the back of the car follow and turn in better.
  12. Awesome welcome to the coil over club and the never ending feeling that you can always make it ride and handle just that little bit more if you just tweak it here... lol
  13. Yeah for sure, anybody who claims the new SX6 and ZR6 is boring and bland seriously has rocks in their head lol.
  14. Guess that just all depends on where you live and also where you work in relation to home, but yeah you certainly have a point. I think it was SilverAurion who mentioned how almost pointless just over 200kw is when you’re sitting at the speed limit and have a buzzbox passing you at 0.5km/h faster lol. Having twice the power meant nothing then! Lmao, yeah that sounds like something I would say. Can't believe you remember that Lol names and faces fella, nams and faces! - also on a forum like ours it helps to know who said what if you ever need to go back and find something lol

  16. Overseas model or not, I highly doubt the key design features are going to vary by much. I'm fairly sure the Australian model will look pretty close to that. As for the whole FWD vs others argument. We don't need any more of that sh** here. If you want to go justify the purpose of buying one of these cars, do that elsewhere. Not everyone races their car. A large percentage of people who drive these cars wouldn't even know the difference between how they drive if you were to ask them. Yeah this is true it's not too different but in that brochure there is a few specs that differ to ours so yeah don’t take it as gospel. FINALLY somebody else who thinks there's a little bit of HSV in there. They actually showed us a image side by side from the front angle with the new Lamborghini - Straight copy, paste i swear haha.
  17. At our Hybrid launch test field day they had the new Aurion Sportivo there and i stood there talking for a while and noticed the comments about Sportivo was 50/50 lovers and hated some guys said "i love what they've done with it" and others thought it looked simply overdone and tacky and not helped by the pissy wheels but overall i think most people liked what they saw.
  18. Yeah you truly are the reason why it can be justified that you should need a licence (and a brain) to write on forums such as these. For your information since clearly you’re not big on research my car is equipped with the TRD brake package it’s not simply the standard PBR package painted red. It also has braided brake lines and High boiling point TRD brake fluid. Also before i had the full coil overs fitted i ran TRD suspension from America. You do actually know what TRD is don’t you? Or are you another hero who thinks it's a HSV/FPV equivalent? Well it's not it's nothing more than an aftermarket parts supplier to Toyota. Umm have you actually ever driven a fast car, fast ever?? It doesn’t matter what end the power is going to during the bend.. Only becomes relevant going in and coming out but mid-point it makes near to zip. RWD and AWD gain the advantage in getting power down earlier.. 250kw? Gee lucky then Aurion doesn’t have 250kw then isn’t it or damn run for the hills we’d all be in one hell of a situation.. But neither does your beloved Crown so your point is utterly made redundant. Have you even driven a Crown? Judging by your actual lack of knowledge on the drive experience I’m going to say NO. well i have in Japan on proving grounds and Fuji and much like their entire range with a few exceptions it's soft and wallow’s but it’s not aimed as a "sports sedan" it’s a luxury barge nothing more nothing less. The quick Japan large Toyota is the Mark X which shares its drive line with the much acclaimed IS350 F-Sport and architecture with previous Gen GS sedan ( as Does Crown too)
  19. Wow you have absolutely no clue.. I dunno if i can be even bothered to explain it all. Thanks captain obvious none of us had any idea until you popped up that GSV50 unlike GSV40 is completely and utterly the same as a 50 series Camry.. GSV50 only shares core architecture design with GSV40, it is a different chassis, far more rigid and versatile in its design. Same old unintelligent fwd suspension? Sounds more like you just aren’t a very good smooth driver... AlsocPresara is said to appeal to the kind of customer who likes the Crown "sort of car". But even then why would TMCA bring the Crown here? if they were to bring any vehicle from Japan they would be nuts to overlook the better car in Mark X for a Crown which is more Conservative then 36 series Camry.
  20. AWESSOMMEEE so the world can now continue to spin round then?
  21. We've already discovered that it hasn’t affected every Aurion. It's a VERY rare occurrence dealers find one that is loose and even they are only ever so slightly loose so it’s quite clear this isn’t an issue with every single Aurion ever built. Hence as to why Service staff are directed to check and tighten if necessary. TMCA also asked dealers to report any issues no matter how small about the 2GR-FE/U660E power train to them as this combo was once again under going valuation for the new 50 series. So once again if it was major issue affecting the vast majority of cars they wouldn’t of heard the end of it.
  22. If that was the case then it would happen in 100% of Aurion’s and constantly and not just the very odd vehicle which needs a tighten once in it's life.
  23. I'm pretty sure i posted on here before when the bulletin first was released but ill dig through my folder tomorrow and find the torque rating. Most vehicles remain tight for the life of the vehicle but it’s not unheard of for these rods to become slightly loose so is worth the 30 seconds when you have the bonnet up to check it out. I have managed to get a couple of turns on mine until it was back up to the torque rating where as when we checked pardigm’s his were as tight as a nuns .... and his car is a year older with twice as many kms so yeah some can come slightly and i stress its slightly loose were not talking do it up with your fingers loose just ever so slightly.
  24. OK i must stress the information put up by tony is the New Zealand spec and other models do differ slightly. They only have a 3 car line up (ZR6 is LE) they do not have a Presara. SX6 is there top of the range which of course is different to ours and we don’t have a full time touring model. You can see the specs for yourself and like i mentioned previously the model line up of luxury/VIP and sport in terms of features lines up near as makes no difference the same. So both ZR6 and Presara has the 7" touch screen with sat nav and JBL eco premium sound, both have HID lamps, auto levelling, auto high beam, heated mirrors that dip. Rear sun shade blind, blind spot monitor, reverse camera with back guide. Only difference is the body kit, suspension/chassis tune and, sports seats, pedals, Sportivo's score the paddle shift with auto blipping also. SX6 will be very similarly specked to pre facelift 40 series ZR6, so will have smart start/entry as will prodigy and will score Atara's 6.1 touch screen audio system. All models including Sportivo have 60/40 split fold seats as well. P.S out Sportivo from memory doesn’t have the chrome across the bonnet either.
  25. Yeah this issue should only occur if your service centre is not checking and tightening all engine control rods/accessible mounts during a service. Toyota even released a bulletin to the dealer network to take particular attention to said rods to ensure there properly tightened
