    2012 Camry

Hybrid Camry images and specs have being relased here too now. 2.5 2AR-FXE 2.5-litre Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder is all new 118kW and 213Nm - up from 105kw - combined power 151kw up from 140kw Combined Fuel consumption is 5.2L/100kms - down from 6.0L/100kms Boot Capacity is up from 389L to 421L Hybrid Camry can now also tow... a WHOPPING 300kg.... There are 2 different models, H & HL (no prizes for guessing what they stand for) H looks like an Altise with ofocurse the signature hybrid grill and head lamps and the HL looks like an classier altise with sharper angles and plenty of chrome and foglamps and ofocurse singature headlamps and grill. other features include: blind-spot monitor and automatic high-beam. Standard features for both grades comprise: alloy wheels (16-inch for Camry H, 17-inch for HL), electric driver's seat adjustment, dual-zone climate control, hill-start assist control, keyless entry/start and reversing camera. Camry H makes do with a six-speaker audio system and 6.1-inch display screen. Added equipment for the Camry HL amounts to front fog lights, rear lip spoiler, chrome door handles, chrome rear garnish, leather trim, upgraded door trim, memory function for driver's seat, electrically-adjustable front-passenger's seat, electro-chromatic rear-view mirror and electric rear sunshade. Icing on the cake comes with rain-sensing wipers, a dipping external mirror when reverse gear is selected, rear parking sensors with acoustic guidance and a JBL 10-speaker digital audio with integrated satellite navigation.
  2. Sportivo's rear end it quite different to the lesser models, For example the exhausts are built into the rear bar like current gen HSV's and the 40 series TRD. I’m pretty sure the rear lamps are different too. Just trying to remember the finer details of the images I’ve seen.
  3. Wish they had made the Sportivo Kit actually part of the bar and not just stuck over the top. It looks a little tacky and gets tackier the larger the kit!
  4. Lol well there goes the suprise. Aust spec is ever so slightly different from memory we dont have the chrome section on the front - no doubt that is on the nzl spec as it is top of the range where as it won't be over here.
  5. Lol if you think the front looks slightly HSV then you should see the back of the Sportivo haha
  6. Exact date is TBA but it's sometime in mid to late April.
  7. HMm well if you’re not a audiophile then there is perhaps no use in following what many of us have done and gone to premium brands such as Polk, Focal, VIBE and Rockford Fosgate. If you can't tell the difference in performance between these and your main stream brands then you may as well save yourself some coin and just get some well-built mid-range branded speakers. These will do the Job fine and offer a noticeable increase of clarity precision and volume over your factory speakers.
  8. Lol yeah whilst the Aussie racing series is reasonable to run in there is no such thing as cheap motorsport. :P Is good to see more and more Switch to the Aurion Bodyshell though.

    2012 Camry

Whilst that is true about the LS460, but you can't really say it's the same stuff as what's in the Camry lol
  10. Vehicles in the Pic's are Prodigy and Presara Levels, Interior is near as makes no difference true to production. The more aggressive looking one with large alloys however is not the new Sportivo, however it's not light years away either :)
  11. All Aussie racers run the same 1300CC Yamaha engine and have since the start of last season. Performance from the 3 bodies is meant to be near the same however the Aurion is the largest and heaviest so has had to be tweaked to be as fast in a straight line but they now seem o be a tad quicker. Adam Gowans was the first main contender to drive the Aurion and after driving the falcon before the Aurion he said the Aurion especially with the larger aero kit is a lot more balanced and stable than the commie or flacon and kills them under brakes they don’t squirm around as much. Aurion also runs a different brake package due to its extra weight. Its amazing Kyle is still doing Aussie cars many champions win a championship or two and bail on it full time like Adam has and just come back for the odd round of fun here and there. Still the BEST racing I’ve ever seen!

    Actual ft86

True, but that is a grade level. In Australia we will have # different grades, including the "86 **" and "86 ***". Later down the track there will be an option pack for the second grade. I'll be getting the "86 ***" ... without the future option pack, as it doesn't appeal to me. Interestingly, the plates for both grades are unavailable in VIC ... but there could be an old Corolla out there wearing them? correct there will be two levels available in Aust both with 6 speed manual and auto transmissions. GT86 that every body knows about and also 86*** (which seems like a slightly random name given the history) Apprently only the 86*** gets paddles the lower end auto doesnt? and yes it s possible one of the older ones have those plates 86 has gone in Tas and we have GT-86 and im thinking about getting the other plate

lol yerpp we have to be getting close to Lexi GS area now haha
  16. Just a question. Where you get the TRD brake from and how much it cost you? Thanks. Funny you should ask that JMJ102 asked the same question just the other day. Well it was pretty straight forward and easy for me as i actually work for Toyota lol so of course i get thr employee discount. i have also gone and had braided lines made up as with blue covers over the braid ( stops grit from getting in the braid rubbing against the hose) . Best way for you to go about it is simply either go to PBR who supply the package and get the spec to suit Aurion (however these won't have TRD imprinted on them as they are trademarked to Toyota same as Harrop/Eaton can't sell you a red TRD TVS Aurion charger as that design technically is owned by Toyota. So next option would be to shop around Toyota spare parts dept till you find the cheapest price ont he genuine part. However be aware that like FPV/HSV dealers your local Toyota dealer may want to confirm you actually own a TRD before supplying you parts but some aren’t so worried about this however. Ok, seems like need more money to spend on the car LOL. I am looking at HID at the moment. Car is just like never end. You want to do something, finish one day then you will come up with something else another day. HAHA yeah it never ends mate, always something else to be done!
  17. PBR certainly will sell to the public they offer direct bolt on kits for Commodore and falcon and since the TRD package is 95% the same as HSV's Y and Z series performance Brake package they should be able to come to the party but of course like Harrop/Eaton with the TVS it won't have "TRD" branded on it but they should be able to offer a compatible package.

  19. AHAHA you love it. That's why i park it outside your house all the time lol
  20. This light is clear but actually has light blue color inside which fits the blue color of the car very well. Just have the car wash today and will take some photos tomorrow. BTW, so there are only 500 of them in this color? I am so lucky then, haha just know that. LOl yerp i understand that, i see Paradigm's car 2 to 3 times a week haha. Yeah there was only 500 of them (that's also why you don’t see all that many of them compared to white, silver and black) so yeah i guess we sort of are a little lucky.

    2012 Camry

What about heads of state of oil-rich African countries who get chauffeur driven everywhere? Sure, they may be a minority group, but let's not discriminate, okay. They also don't buy Camrys. What about Atara's? oh BOOM! lol ahahahahaha
  22. Lol if only.. but never going to happen!
  23. Dixonzhai i dislike you greatly for two reasons lol 1. you too have a Caribbean Blue Sportivo (they only made 500) and 2. You have the clear lights. i was hoping id never see one with them in case i liked it hahahaha. Looks nice. The blue must just suit Aurion all of them modded or not just like damn nice!
