  1. "Unfortunately try telling that to some of the guys in the States that had their hose rupture before Toyota were to even touch it." Lol yeah true, true ok so its something TMCA is pretty goo with then.
  2. Guys, one thing Toyota is really good on is, recall stuff. It's likely that if your vehicle was one of the affected cars and your Warrenty had run out Toyota would still replace these parts for free. A good example of this is the Clock spring recall on the Hilux's even if your car had no warrenty left Toyota was still replacing this part. So stress less, you would of been informed one way or another if your car was in the affected batch and the problem would of been fixed regardless of the state of your Warrenty. :)
  3. I'm with DJKOR. i this the silver mesh with the black looks the goods, i even like the toyota badge in the centre - my dodgey artwork aside that is lol. It's unique and looks good!
  4. Hey Michael, It's possible to buy some Toyota badges that simple have adhesive to hold them on to the grills/bodywork with no little "prongs" these would be quite ideal :D That’s interesting that other also thought the Thai grill with a Toyota badge may have a passing resemblance to the TRD grill. So I’ve had a bit of a crack in paint at putting some badges in the grill, check them out but no laughing, i didn’t spend long on them. Peter i have used your car for the example as you took a great front on view so i hope you don't mind :)
  5. I actually really like the silver mesh look, but i think im perhaps one of the few? has anybody thought about putting the toyota badge back in the middle or a TRD one to the side?
  6. SO here she is then Michael? the Gauntlets look even better on silver ash then i thought they would, she has really come up well very nice indeed. Not coming to Tas any time soon are you lol? not exactly tonnes of done up Aurions kicking about here. Body stripe looks the goods to shes a real looker. I'll PM you about some smaller details. But good work!
  7. For those of you interested I’m in the process of getting the TRD front brake package put on my ZR6 now for me the 325mm X32mm rotors, 2 piece Callipers, pads and pad support plates cost $1,252 so add a few hundred for RRP but all up I thought this probably wasn’t such a bad price. Especially considering they bolt straight up and were designed for the car and covered under warranty.
  8. holy sh!t that sucks the big one, hope you were able to get their details because if your having to pay for it out of your back pocket theres a very good chance you will have heart failure :(
  9. yes true im sure it is a photoshot job but they have done a great job of the bumper and rear diffuser it looks real neat. the Sportivo spoiler and TRD rear lip look good too. Well i'm sure one day we will see TRD make a return. It's weird we just built a new dealershipa nd the new toyota shows also have a TRD logo on it, why would a new sign have TRD on it too? also the dealership in the next city over never used to have a TRD logo and now it does, always found that alittle odd..... so maybe oneday people, one day!
  10. Found this picture floating about, i'm sure it's just a photoshop job but it'd be nice to think this is perhaps a series 2 TRD effort :)
  11. SCOOTA: You mentioned that it didn' have cut out area for the passenger front air bag, so you mean that the air bag is covered right? If so it may just pay to make a flap around the air bag otherwise in a crash it may render the airbag useless and maybe even dangerous... :S
  12. SOLOMAN: Toyota Don't do dash mats as an accessory but many of the Toyota dealers including the one i work for source there's from Sheveron industries, these guys make a great quality dash mat, they also make seat covers, window sox, window rap. rear window sun screens and floor mats, visit your local dealer and see if they suppy sheveron products and im sure if they don't then they would have some other supplier of such things. Cost on ours to give you some sort of an idea is $59.95.
  13. yes do that and let us know how you get on. If you have no luck let me know as i work for Gowans Motor Group up North we could certainly fix you up with one. Also as long as your mehcanic is using genuine Filters on your SX6 and as it stands they have no choice as there is no aftermarket replacement for the 04152-31090 oil filter that the 2GR-FE V6 takes in the Aurion, Kluger and Rav4 there is nothing wrong with this and won't void a warrenty in anyway. :)

  15. Scoota, i had mine painted blue at it looks tops. got harress Co-Op down your way and get it painted, also get the clips painted too if it's possible the grey stands out liek dogs you know what.
  16. Well if it's a common problem then that's ok then, gues once it's rubbed all the paint off it will run out of things to rub on lol :P
  17. LOL you play with EVO X's? Guess it's not to hard to make the fat ****d 1800plus kg SS's look a bit silly on the twisties, FWD and all :P yeah your spot on whilst your running standard sizes you cant expect huge differences in performance so that's why i'm a bit 50/50 atm in which way to go. Might just have to flip a coin on it lol
  18. Hey Guys, I Fitted up My Ultra racing Strut brace on Friday after taking a air gun to those effing ultra tight nuts lol, anyway i did around 650kms over the long weekend we had here so i thought I’d pop the bonnet when i got home this arvo to just make sure the nuts where still tight etc. I noticed there were a few very small patches of blue and black on my bar. Obviously the rubber that runs along the cowl and the bonnet is making light contact with the bar, has anybody else noticed this with their cars or will i need to have another crack at fitting the bar?
  19. Hey thanks heaps as always. Are you happy with the 4000series set up? i thinking of putting the exact same rotors on my car (keen to stay away from cross drilled rotors, heard to many bad stories) then paint the callipers red, make them stand out in the black rims should add a nice touch i think. You’re not wrong about the TRD parts. Whilst they mostly bolt straight up there is huge costs involved in doing so. The Cost of a TRD Bake package isn’t too bad and i would like the bigger rotors to fill those rims and offcourse the bigger calliper with TRD on them would look great but I’m just not sure. Looks good on that Camry in the link you posted, i like his cheekiness in putting the 2GR-FE Supercharged Rocker Cover on his car too lol :P it’s a wonder there isn’t more Aurion’s getting around with it.
  20. Oh Good stuff, champion! Thought this was possible or atleast i was hoping so lol. I will print this off and show the service department, get them to have a crack at it see how that goes. So do other people find the auto system a little redundant and slow to catch on?
  21. Along with many other Aurion owners i've spke too i find the auto headlamps don't come on soon enough as in it has to be darker than you would think and like before they will come on. Does anybody know if this can be adjusted? I asked my service manager today but he said he wasnt sure as theyve never had to play around with head lamps on current ACV/GSV40 series cars.
  22. Guys has anybody had much luck tinkering with the rotors on the Aurion? I’ve noticed that whilst at first the pedal feel is quite strong it always quite quickly goes spongy under spirited driving and that happens a fair bit in TAS on our back roads mmm targaaa lol Has anybody got a set of DBA rotors on their cars? Either from the street or 4000 series range? Also as a side note I’ve looked on the computer and it seem the rotors and callipers off the TRD car would fit straight on with not much drama at all. Actually looking though the entire TRD catalogue there actually isn’t that many differences between the Sportivo and TRD car.... <_<
  23. Guys the TRD Kit will fit straight onto a Sportivo but you do also need a few unique mounts to make it happen but it is quite possible thats for sure.
  24. Guys TRD 0001 was a SL either black or silver i can’t remember now lol and its most likely Toyota TRD still has that vehicle. The most common car is a white 3500S with the dark rims. The SL can be found in white but there very rare. I'd be very interested in who has the white SL for sale in TAS as we could only ever get hold of the S model. When i was originally looking for an Aurion i was after a TRD SL but once the announcement had being made that production was to cease the cost of them at dealer auctions went nuts and shot up by around 7k! So somewhat crushing that idea :( i found this pic not long ago not sure whether this is something i stumbled on and shouldn’t of done or if its Photoshop job. arghhh damm Sorry cant find the pic atm, will have to dig it out and post it later :)
  25. One of the dealerships Aussie racing cars is home for a while and in our new facilty so i thought id take some snaps of it just to show people just how small these aussie racing cars are but always to show the detail that has gone into the bodywork on these cars compared to the AU falcons and VY Commodores that they race against. Somewhat dwarfted by the LC200!
