  2. lol guys you can buy the rubber refills from Toyota for like $8 a side... and a new blade is like 32odd bucks each?? man some dealers must be making a fortune over there...
  3. The bottom spoiler skirt section is completely separate to that of the main bumper, so yes it can be bought separate if that’s the only piece that is ruined, it costs peanuts i can’t remember how much but its less than $150.00 i'll check the exact price for you tomorrow and then depending on the colour of your car the only other thing you will need is either the black or grey protector strips that seal the two sections together making them "waterproof"
  4. Well yeah not real sure, the colour of carbon fibre is just too different to the colour of your car, it might work on say Silver Ash Tungston or even Ink?
  5. wow that is some pretty trick photography! all the cars look sweet as! Legend.. wait for it... ary!
  6. mmm i too am going to have to do something with the brakes on my car, the road trip on good Friday seems to of taken their toll on the Soft rotors, seem to feel a bit of a shudder now especially pulling up for a complete stop from highway speeds on off ramps :S
  7. No worries, i will get you the part numbers and prices of the Mirrors, Illumination package and Aero roof bars.
  8. Cheers for the info DJ :)
  9. DJKOR, mate did you end up doing another Dyno run after you installed one of these on your old car, if so did it produce any more power, the same or less?
  10. Yeah Cheers Chris thanks for that, & thanks for getting the L.E.D's for me too! And well it's just a little something Colin does for customers that spend a few $$ with him and on nice cars. It's simple but looks effective and pretty sweet! it's just a bit of perplex with a sticker of your choice on it, in this car Colin made a few designs up around the TRD logo and the Toyota Emblem with the extra bulls head horn, looks pretty trick he showed me one he did on a XR6Turbo looked great and so then it just gets mounted to the amp rack with a little L.E.D behind it to backlight it, in this case i went with blue to carry on the theme. So then when you open the boot to check out the system the first thing you see it this bright logo, maybe a bit of a **** but looks cool, I’ve seen it done a few times with Rockford Fosgate and Alpine Logo's.
  11. Ah man very sorry to here this and only one day after the install :( Sucks big time! mmm first DJKOR now this, who's going to be the 3rd person lol :S
  12. When i go back to work i will look up the part numbers for the parts your after. As for the Interior illumination what do you actually want from this product? as the factory set up (to make it legal of course) only works when a door is open and for around 30 seconds after you close the door, I'm sure you could make the system always be on or off, but like DJKOR said, you could achieve this result DIY and for much less coin.
  13. yeah i two have reservations about the aftermarket grills, like you said if you could get the Emblem to sit out a bit on the Thai grill not dissimilar to this "M" grill it's be a good thing!
  14. lol it has to be said, that today was one of the most crappy working days I’ve ever had so to come to read this after Chris told me to check it out again has really put a smile on my face.... what’s this dude thinking and what sort of speeds do they usually consider "normal" to crash at?
  15. Chris, mate when i had my Sound system put in i was talking about doing a blue bulb swap in the doors to Colin from T.A.S and he seemed to think that it would be a simple mod and something he could get hold of quite easily, next weekend my car is booked in to have the sound system tweaked a bit and to have the perplex logo and back light installed so ill ask him more about it and see if he can do it and how much it'd be :)
  16. mmm Not quite sure i follow, so you hit a 20cm high barrier (cement or steel I’m guessing) at 110kms and your trying to claim that the outcome is a manufacturing defect? I’m pretty sure not even the mighty Hilux or LC200 would of got away damage free after that?....
  17. mmmm those Genuine filters are quite old Toyota ones that have not been in production for some time now... Most of the vehicles now, Corolla, Aurion, Kluger, Rav4 V6, Tarago V6, Prado V6, LC200/79 TTV8 & Prius all use Cartridge type filters which are both cheaper and better for the environment. Also it's been shown several times over that the Toyota filter has proved to be head and shoulders above not only other manufacturers OEM filters but also aftermarket filters, really why risk it? Especially if your car is relatively new...
  18. yeah not too sure about those eye lids either lol, maybe one of those things that you would have to see in the flesh before making final judgment on ? the grill though, i was just trying to work out wether you'd leave it black like in the picture or colour code it to match your car or colour code the just the main parts of i? May need some photo shopping :P
  19. Hey, So did you get it fixed up in the end Chris? If not book it in and get it looked at? ha i was over in Ulverstone today and noticed a tidy looking white ZR6 parked on the side of the road then i realised it was your bus :) White ZR's look damm good!
  20. Hey guy's firstly I apologise if this is old news and everybody has seen them before, but I had some spare time so I thought I’d have a look around the new look site see what was new and interesting & any way ended up on the TRD questions page about its body kit etc and i clicked on the Carmate site and noticed they now have their own set of eyelids ( that for some reason remind me of batman lol)and Sports grill so was just wondering if anybody had fitted these "M" Style parts to their Sportivo? :) http://www.carmate.com.au/display_products.php?id=539
  21. mmm just recently i too have an annoying rattle from the lend hand side of the dash and after constantly thumping different parts of the dash it finally got tracked down on the weekend and it ended up been the LH tweeter grill slightly vibrating, hell annoying but as soon as u touch it the noise stops but i swear it sounded as if it was coming from the same area that has been circled in the picture. Might just pay to check that it’s not the grill? :)
  22. lol yeah that's true but like all good things in life it's who you know not what you know?
  23. Hey mate, yeah i can see your point, wouldn’t take much to speed along the road to golf course its dead straight and as wide as a highway lol. Yeah I’m familiar with the road you mean :) Adam Gowans actually took me along that road a few times to give me a few pointers and so I’d have some idea of what the car was capable of. Was a bit of fun with a race car driver behind the wheel :P. yeah St Mary’s pass would be a bit of fun, elephants pass would be another good one? Also I’m trying to get a few people together to do a Lyell "HWY" run before the weather turns crappy, that'd be a legendary road trip lol. Scoota makes a good point i here the same thing pretty often too so yeah somebody must be saying good things lol bet there not reading it in Wheels or motor mags though haha! I do also use the S mode on the back roads, usually use 2nd through to 4th, My car too has the new software update and has had the fluid replaced and for sure i feel it’s a little smarter defiantly smoother, the flare is going and it seems to listen and be more direct in S mode, also if you’re going slower enough when you push the shifter across it will default to 3rd instead of 4th. the AI's learning ability seems to of grown now, has a few more tricks up its sleeve and even I’ve noticed since my run on Friday every time i go down hills instead of dropping one ratio as usual if i so much as lightly touch the brake it’ll drop another so you get some serious engine braking which will then hold you at your desired speed without needing to use the brakes anymore. Also sounds pretty trick too :P
  24. ha oh yeah man the roads around Campania are pretty sweet it's got to be said & 90 around town? damm be careful dude i got done for doing 54 in 50 :( :( well the roads we hit was lake barrington which is sighned 100! short of a F1 car i dont think there is a machine on 2 or 4 wheels that could travel that road at anything near that speed it would need some pretty special stoppers! im a big fan of the road that goes to "no where else" the one between barrington and Sheffeild main road? a few nice big straights than tight 90 degree corners get to hit some nice speeds then jump on the anchors wash it all off turn her in fire it out the otherside then do it all again. Other good road we was on yesty was the one to Leven canyon? that's decent as every type of corner you can imagine is on the bit of road, made a VX SS look pretty silly! have a look in my gallery took a few pics of the day.
  25. Off topic a bit. LOL. I read that entire post thinking that everything under "DJKOR" was directed at me. I was thinking that it was a bit odd, and I even had to scroll up to see what I said. I read that without realising that I said the first 5 paragraphs in your post.Anyways, the extra torquey feel that you experienced from the RAV4 may possibly be due to it's different gear ratios. Compared with the Aurion, the RAV4 has the following ratios. Aurion: 1st: 3.300:1 2nd: 1.900:1 3rd: 1.420:1 4th: 1.000:1 5th: 0.713:1 6th: 0.608:1 RAV4 (auto): 1st: 4.24:1 2nd: 2.36:1 3rd: 1.52:1 4th: 1.05:1 5th: 0.76:1 As you can see, the RAV4 has lower gear ratios when compared gear to gear (up to 5th anyways) to the Aurion. This lower gear ratio equates to higher torque which creates that feel that it is pulling harder. Lol yeah sorry haven’t quite worked out how to get the whole "quote box" thing happening properly Ahhh yeah i can see how that works now. i had originally thought that maybe it was gearbox/diff related but then thought well the Aurion would have to have a closer set of ratios than the Rav4 so thought no more about that. but now that you’ve done the research i can see how it works, and why the Aurion has more "go" up further in the rev range, that coupled together with less weight and a gearbox that is a little bit slicker and smarter just makes the difference but damm the Rav4 does put a smile on your face. A car like that with that much power is a different thing all together to drive!
