  1. Seriously? 99% of people that work for Toyota have half if not less knowledge about their own cars compared to most of us on here.. Maybe major claims, but when do they have the time to monitor? And which department? Im not going to go ahead with the pulley exchange, im leaving my ZRE how it is now, and im almost finished chasing any more power. Ps, donks with minimal or 0 km on them can be imported from the US or Japan for around AU1600 + freight/duties/GST. Def no where near 10K if imported.
  2. Stumbled upon this today, thought some of you may be interested from a design point of view.. LA Auto Show Design Challenge, 1000lbs.. Taken from autoblog.com : Toyota NORI Concept Building on Toyota's leadership role in creating eco-sensitive vehicles, the NORI concept challenges us to look ahead and create a clever vision that addresses fuel economy, emissions, green materials, new design and manufactured technology, and transforms it into an emotionally appealing design solution. As the majority of current generation automobiles consist of a chassis covered by attached body panels, the NORI concept presents the idea that the body and chassis are one, as a PODULAR form, designed to be strong, light and beautiful. Bioplastics technology is created using "nori" (the Japanese word for seaweed) combined with a carbon fiber weave for strength. Woven into the PODULAR form are solar cells that capture and generate supplemental solar energy. As a holistic solution and new design aesthetic, NORI reduces weight and the number of parts while capturing and generating energy. At the onset of the DESIGN process for each PODULAR form is a collaboration between designers and engineers, utilizing a "real time" design envelope to ensure the perfect balance of strength, light weight and design aesthetics. This process eliminates traditional design and engineering conflicts of form vs. function, and allows the design/engineering process to come to fruition at the same time. MANUFACTURING: The PODULAR forms are grown at factories located nearby the sea. Seaweed grows prolifically, and using it as a bioplastics source is an effort to minimalize the impact on the food chain (corn/soy etc) that has previously been used for bioplastics. The solar cells are embedded as part of the growing/manufacturing process. PERSONALIZATION: PSI's (partial shape insets) are utilized to shield or expose passengers to the elements and address vehicle regulations (such as covered wheels), while serving as a new form of personalization. The color/graphics of NORI can be changed through an electronically generated data charge sent into the surface. There are no doors: ingress/egress is achieved by stepping over and into NORI's PODULAR form. DRIVETRAIN: NORI utilizes four electric wheel motors and a removable battery pack. 3. Pete, in the third pic it shows the pod up high near the bottom of the battery holder. Is this correct or does another length of pipe extend down into the front of the well?
  4. 215 easy. Drifters do some crazy stretches, and they put their tires under extreme extreme punishment. 215 on an 8 is barely a stretch in compared to what we used to do. The only time ive ever seen a stretched tire roll off the rim (not totally off but just of the bead) was a 205 or smaller stretched over a 9.5" or bigger rim if i remember correctly. MAximum stretched and multiple hill drifts one night did cause a slight issue. But, it was still able to be driven home as the tire acted like a rubber guard for the rim.. :D Tell that guy you know that it will all be fine... B)
  5. No suppliers here in Oz. Not for the Garax anyways, the Philips maybe, but for the price Autobarn charge, you could probably buy 2 pair inc postage for the same price from the US.
  6. Good work Pete :D Yeah Charlie, whats happening??
  7. Im running the Garax 6000k and loving them. As for your problem, i suggest it may be a ballast issue, or ground issue, but the ground is a slim shot.. Start from the cheaper end first, the globe replacement. OEM ballasts are hella expensive. See here for pics of the Garax bulbs in my ZRE Changing them takes a minute, unplug the loom, unclip the spring holder, remove.

Got it! Funny enough, no pimple faced kids, just 2 ballers, and 3 mid 30's guys there. I looked behind the counter and saw a voucher code card, I asked for one as they hadnt offered one to the other guys... not sure if others will get them or not, probably will, but ill put up the "stealth cars" anyways.. Visit playstation network, go to redeem codes from the store top, enter the codes and select continue. Codes are case sensitive.. Audi R10 TDI Stealth Model: TMKK-AEBF-KAMA Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model: BDGG-BEBQ-F5NB Mazda 787B Stealth Model: 9KDQ-9JB6-DHTE McLaren F1 Stealth Model: 3FAH-TLB7-8MLM Mercedes-Benz SLS AGM Stealth Model: CGN2-MRBF-5TT8 Nissan GT-R GT500 Stealth Model: F2J8-JJBG-4D2J Installing now... :D Update is 133Mb as Thomas said, and only took 6-7min. The "APEX" mini-magazine/book that comes with the collectors edition is quite handy, explaining almost every aspect or racing, setup and components.
  9. Mick, Im not sue if im going to go for the pulley yet, The GB was only marginally cheaper, and then you would have to add domestic post on top, so it pretty much equals out. Its only a few bucks cheaper so you might just want to order one from NST or one of the re-sellers if your keen.
  10. BAM!!!! Ha sh!t yeah maybe the old guy had a set of hela flush rims in the back of that van too! :o

  17. oh YEAHHHH, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PETE!!!! :D
  18. You might find it easier to use the oven method first, to soften the whole seal rather than one bit at a time.. I think the normal given for this is done on a wooden board, @150dC for 3-4 minutes. Then start the prying game. If you find it too difficult, most bumper repair/exchange places will do it for you. Oh, and try a wider blade too, not a screwdriver. You will minimize damage to the casing.
  19. I have a supplier for both CCFL and SMD angel eyes. If you know the diameter OD/ID you need and are willing to remove the lens from your headlights, you can retrofit them easily. Pm me if interested
  20. Put up a pic of your car and ill see what i can do with photoshop quickly...

Yep your right Daryl. She couldnt explain why that you have to push chq either, she just said it was a defult by MC. My so called business manager didnt exactly relay my accounts structure well to me, but its my fault for not working this out earlier. YAY! now i can buy bits from those stores again. Cheers

  22. You mean you have never hit the rev limiter?! The engine pulls well and doesn't really drop off that much at 6500, i think it could easily go to 7500 but probably not much more untill we know more on how the internals will hold up. I think im one of the very few that actually drive the ZRE's hard.... Below 3000, no you wont fell anything. let me know how you go with the pulley Ben.
