I know hey! How hard is it! I got a G25 wheel... it's pretty much the same... or at least, I wasn't prepared to spend the extra $400 :P

      So you liking GT5?

Really! That's cheap as! I got the G25 for 200. Where did you get it so cheap from? :D

  3. No you dont need to remove the rear bumper to get the tail light out. You can access the 2 nuts through the inspection holes in the rear interior behind the light. then close the blue clips with long nose pliars and or a long screwdriver. You can get the light out, remove the bulbs and try to shake some water out but thats about it. There is no way to remove the lens cover without some serious patience and luck. Also check you neoprene franger, it should prevent any water entering the tail light. Also, I would go to toyota and get them to fix or look at it under warranty.
  4. Seems you have front row seats for that gallery Secaboy.. season passes maybe?
  5. Great work. I always dreamed of fitting a 1J turbs into a similar age cressy.. cant wait to see the finished result and workup along the way.. :D One thing i did notice with my mx83 conversion is, with intake length, short ram intake doesnt work that well. The 1Jz like a longer length intake for more low end to be produced.. unless your only after max revs and lag.
  6. While checking out the R-Dash site, i found these..
  7. Wow another Adelaidian!! holy cow!! thats like 2 in a couple of weeks! I can almost have a cruise with someone now!! :D Welcome Brad, enjoy your stay.
  8. Just did a quick run, too many cars even on the quiet roads. Estimated times are around the 9.5-10 seconds. Half tank, fat me (125kg) and spare in.
  9. Yep im pretty sure that correct. 154's are 4WD. Ben, your car does seem to rev rather quickly between 4-6k.. if i can get out tonight, ill give it a go for comparison.
  10. For suppressing road noise, "Dyna Pad" is more what you are after. Its a thick urethane 3 or 4 layer heavy foam sheeting on a roll. Not cheap but if its quite your after, "pad" is the way to go, not "mat" DynaPad is designed to reduce low frequency noise, such as exhaust drone and road noise specifically. While i have a roll here, i still havent had the time to install it.. Ryda.com.au seemed to offer the best price i found.
  11. Pretty much the same thing, the white connector you see with the kit plugs into the pin connector which in turn plug to the female connector on the strip. Did you order 4X30cm strips or 5 continual meters? Cause 5m is enough to do 3-4 cars easy. You will have to cut the strip at the marked point, use a sharp hobby knife to remove some of the silicone/urethane clear cover then either solder the pin connector to the strip or your 4 wires. Continue this thru till you get to the back seat. If you purchased 4X30cm strips, they would come terminated with female terminal at both ends normally. Or get these if you want to make it easier to remove... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/10x-Male-Cable-Connecter-Extender-LED-SMD-5050RGB-Strip-/170488698561?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b1eb16c1 and extend them.. Either way, its a breeze to make up. Cant wait to see the results.
  12. Bravo! any more shots of the whole car? :D
  13. Oooh niiice beemer. :) always wanted a 335i, now its been shrunk its that much more appealing!
  14. Ring Toyota for warranty, it will be covered. Normal life span of a HID bulb is around the 3-4000 hours. Changing is simple, its just unclip the base connector, remove the retaining spring and pull it out. Easy as. Just have a look, its self explanatory. Replacement, if you want whiter bulbs, i recommend the Garax D4S 6000k (pure white with a tiny tinge of blue) from Mtecpower on ebay, US seller, around 120-130/pair. Genuine Garax bulbs at great price. OEM Philips will be 2-3 times the price of the imports if you buy them here. First off, call toyota.
  15. Good to see what "guilt" can make you do John, told you it would be a walk in the park! :D Excellent. Now shift at 6k and tell me what its like. Any pics of the interior with the new dome?
  16. learnt a big lesson today, that could have cost him some large figures... headlight mod on hold now... :( F theee MF L

  17. Excellent. Simply excellent.
  18. Cool thanks. I just noticed that the IR receiver is on an extension. Thats great, you should be able to mount the box and receiver somewhere up under your dash and have the receiver poking thru somewhere for easy line-of-sight pickup. Very interested to see how this will go. PS, i recommend getting some extra 4 pin connectors. If you are soldering or using extension wires, these pins are so easy to bend, and once bent they almost brake everytime you try to straighten them. Ive had Toyota service break 2 already and never even say anything about it.... typical.
  19. I had thought of that, might pay to email the seller and ask. Would be a pain in the bum to have to re-assign the colours. Let me know how you go.
  20. Interesting turbo and engine conversion. Welcome and im sure you will get some help here. B)
  21. Ohh bloody weather again... now i have to wait 6-10 days for my new car!! Grrrrrrr..

Yeah, supposedly Lee :) They also say you can count on many things but the weather! I hope no more rains are on the way. Apparently some rail tracks have been washed out between WA and SA. Lets hope mine made it thru before the washout.

Yep Cuong, new project on the way! :D

I was thinking about all the water. We have B-doubles loaded up and nowhere to go except North.. Oh well, like Lee said :-)

  22. To share costs, a) you need a yard in Japan to store all the goods before filling the container, B) Japanese bank accounts for the freight, c) someone over there to fill the container, d) Customs Broker here, and sometimes quarantine clearances/registered spaces for the container. Easier to get Nengun or someone similar to act as a broker for you. They will take care of all the above things mentioned and ship to your house for a small fee on top.
