  1. I don't see the point in that.. Might as well join the fun with the driver.. :D I really don't see the fun in that. When I was in my country (where road rules are only guideline ) I was ****ting my self so much when my taxi driver was doing 120KM/h on a road that would normally be 60KM/h in Australia and on top of that we had NO seat belts and it was pouring down rain at night.
  2. Ah ***** man. You got scammed by the looks of it. There's actually an eBay seller that I think sells the real deal. Username dffoo1972.
  3. Why the hell would you buy an aftermarket filter which is more expensive as well on top. I bought a genuine filter from the Toyota parts at my local dealer for only $18. How do you know those filters are fake? (too tired to notice much atm) I really don't know but I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say it's not the real deal. Especially at that price for three and the fact it never says it's a genuine filter(almost every ebay listing says if a Toyota part is genuine). I'd just still like that piece of mind that when I buy it from my parts dealer I know I'm getting the real deal.

  5. Are these the same plugs that the Aurion uses? According to another post I read in this very thread they are. Further the ebay buyer I bought off lists them as suiting for the US Camry V6 engine 2GR-FE (or whatever our engine code is I forget) Ours is also 2GR-FE.

  7. It really sucks that my passenger side does not have the chime. I wish it did. From what I recall Toyota also included the chime for the passenger side with 08+ models which in turn also bumped up the ancap safety rating.
  8. Wish all the best mate. Hopefully the new transmission pulls through and lives on much longer then the car itself :)
  9. oh my god, I could eat one million Kinder Buenos and never ever get sick of them. So yummy

  10. BAAhh, my yearly BOOK service is due this month. cbf spending money. lol

  11. For comfort I like 35 front and 34 back. But with the current fuel prices I'm keeping 38 front and 37 back. If fuel prices drop I'll go to 35/34. I'm now finding 38 is too much and it really ruins comfort.
  12. Doesn't insurance cover these sort of things?
  13. If I saw a meet I think I'd be the same as you mate. But it looks like johnnieboi doesn't mind a random appearance
  14. So since I'm a TOCAU supporter now. When can I expect my sticker/s? :)

Well mine have been a bit so I PM'ed Steve again (as I didn't get a reply to the original either) about a week ago and got the response they were on their way so hopefully won't be too far away :) I signed up in January. So I just keep patiently checking the mail each day :)

  15. As in comfort wise? I don't think so. Seems to be still rather comfortable to drive. Handling wise, there is a huge difference as I found out this past weekend when I tracked my car at Winton. Just feels so much tighter in the rear end. Had Dale (Zeinheiger) ride shotgun for one session and he even commented that you could feel the RSB working well. To kill the body roll at track speeds though I concluded I needed a set of coilies and for grip some nice wide slicks ;) Did a small write up of my experience in my ride thread if your interested. Can't remember if there's much about the bars though... Alright cheers mate :)

  17. Don't spend so much on oil man. Especially for a daily car like an Aurion.

  20. Don't you just hate those scratches! Especially the deeper ones? <_< Today I gave the car a full make over. Wash and wax, leather treatment, dash and trim, deep vacuum, tyre shine and windows all wiped down. Far out it's clean now. So happy I decided to clean it today. At first I was really in a cbf mood but I'm glad I did it. While I was at it I fixed the squeak from the gear lever area. You can see the fix here: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28489&pid=441024&st=25entry441024
  21. doesn't seem right. If I recall correctly, if an issue is brought up during the warranty period then it is still covered by the warranty despite it passing the warranty-end date if awaiting parts. +1. Anyway, enough of me bragging how my dash is perfect now and it's time to show some of you guys a quick fix to the squeaking that comes from the gear lever area. I was annoyed by this squeak as well so I had a look how it could happen and I realised that the top part and bottom part are touching each other and when they meet they squeak. So here is what I did today: Open the top part and put a foam double sided sticky tape: Then cut it to size: Then when you put the cover back down it will look like this: If you can think or do a better job than me please tell. But so far I'm very happy with this fix and it's stopped the squeaking 100% :)
  22. Thanks guys. I've been driving heaps lately and over a lot of bumpy roads (tram tracks etc) and absolutely ZERO noise. It's so much better now. It gave the car a whole different feel.
