Damn, now I want to shed 250KG from my Aurion and convert it to RWD :P LOL yeah me too!! But dont forget our cars arent really sport cars.. Such a shame aye.. and our transmission setup restricts us to a certain power. Why Toyota!! Why!! Haha if our cars were RWD oh my!! how much more fun.. +1 million. If these Aurions came in RWD package I wonder what the Holden and Ford boys would be picking on then? It's annoying because some guy on the street few days ago said (not joking here), nice car, those Aurions are punchy for a FWD! AHHHH! As soon as they think FWD they think slow and crap. Edit: But then again, if someone bought the Aurion so they use it as a sports car got the wrong car. I got this car because its sensible, I regularly use it for family duties and to put a booster/baby seat in the back to taxi around the two little nephews etc(like I had to tonight), and it also has lots of room for a big family like mine and also great for work.

My fail attempt at using the SLR. I really need to start finding decent places to take pictures of the car so I can get decent backgrounds.

Nice Davo! I'm so going to do that to my painted mud guards next time I clean my car (been over a month and it is filthy). I went to a family friends place few days ago. They also have an AT-X and its the same colour as your car, I don't think its ever been serviced in years washed and cleaned inside. Couldn't believe how bad it was. I checked the oil, its just BLACK and sludgy, the brake fluid is almost dry and gone off colour. Huge service needed. And on top of that it's scratched up and banged up like no tomorrow and like they've been 4WD with it. I almost cried to see such a nice colour AT-X is such a bad state. :(

Looks like us all three washed our Aurions today! Gave her a nice wash, then applied nXt 2.0. I cannot believe I waited this long to use it. I love this stuff and will use it until the day I die! Then I cleaned the inside and she is also sitting nicely in the garage. All up about 5 hours :) Took some pics too but I suck at using the SLR so they aren't that great ;p

This. I have done this as well but seriously a car with leather seats with no seat warmers can get cold, very cold especially in Melbourne winter. When I sit on my seats its like sitting on a big ice cube Thinking of getting some gloves, beanie, big jacket and a blanket when driving next time so I don't need to use the heater.

Leaving the window is okay but then my hands start getting cold, it gets up to three degrees here at night so having the window down and the cold breeze hitting your hands on the steering is really uncomfortable. I think there is something not right about the Aurions because I don't think they designed them properly to completely block air flow into the front window vents. Because when I put my hand over them when its on face position I can feel a very light air coming out which then gradually fogs up my front windows. What I do then is blast the front windows with hot which takes away the fog but then all my back windows fog up! I still have not managed to find a solution to combat this.

Yeah the 19mm should pull you up pretty nicely, good choice :) Cheers. This will be my next short term mod. I first need to study hard.

Is this a common thing with Aurions? When I have the heater on face position, it will slightly start to fog up the window from the bottom where the window vent is. It ****** me off so much today because all the windows kept fogging up like crazy. Only option that solved it was having the aircon and heater on but that was too much. Some cars I have been in, the heat is a very nice dry heat, in the Toyotas its a very damp heat.

Where can I find the 21mm rear sway? I can only seem to find the 19mm.

I had the spotlight and you took it from me straight away My next fluid change is coolant and I think thats it. I've pretty much changed all fluids in the car. :)

Looking good man. Very clean. I've got two comments in the past two days about my Aurion. First comment is, damn its clean did you buy it new and, it looks mean. Oh yeah, cannot forget the little nephew. He loves going for a drive in the car. He still sits in a booster seat(only few months until he can legally ride without one) so he really enjoys the big room in the back for all his toys haha. A silver Aurion under correct lighting looks mean as.

I actually loled The OP's cleaning sounds familiar to mine. It's not davo hardcore but its more so of a wash, wax as needed basis, clean inside. Sounds easy enough on paper but I spend at least 5 hours because it is a fairly detailed clean inside and out then everything goes into the washing machine and hung up to dry only to repeat 1-2 weeks later.

Fog on my windows is annoying. The whole car fogs up like crazy when I have the heater on. I keep having to adjust the heat. I'm all out of ideas.

gday, can you pm me too with the dealer address please? im super interested. sounds like a professional place for my friend's aurion that ran out of warranty. u dont get many independents set up with nice professional workshops. most of them look like old garages. super dooper. i'll put in a good word for u Wow, I've sent like 5 people the address so far and already one guy went there to get a service. I should get a commission from everyone that ends up going. This mechanic is getting free advertisement and I'm doing all the work Just put in a good word for me so he can give me a good price next time I go there

Yes I went to that place. It turns up that the guy can do logbook service including one with Toyota advantage an. On top of that you see the guy while he is working on the car. Oh really? Thats cool. Didnt know he could do logbook servicing! I think that is what I liked is that you can see the work they are doing unlike toyota stealer. He even has the computer to plug into the car so chances are they wont charge to get error codes because they done it to my car and it was like a two minute thing. I cant believe the dealer charges for that.

Did you go to the place I told you about or somewhere else? I'm surprised that you thought that your oil was in bad condition. To be honest, mine even at 62K I think was not too bad and I think it could have lasted another good 20K before I would definitely change it. The previous owner must have done a lot of highway driving.

Have been doing constant checks of the steering fluid to see if everything is going well after the flush. After driving 40 minutes I checked out the fluid and it was above the MAX HOT mark. So I obviously overfilled. So I sucked out all the fluid just for the heck of it and topped up with the left over penrite fluid to the correct fill. Checked again after driving and now its sitting perfectly flush on the HOT MAX line. I think I have the cleanest Aurion power steering fluid in Australia now
