  1. Vic is about $650 give or take and that includes everything. No need for separate insurens thing called ctp what ever that is. Nsw has it bad! High rego and you guys like need a new roady every year or something yeah? That must suck. Never need a roady in Victoria. Just once when you buy the car and never again. Lol. -written from iPhone. Edit: I've got it the best though. We only pay $300 for a year rego :P
  2. Isn't that called kick down? I'm sure we had a good discussion about this. Anyway, like DJK said, live with it. Also what you can do is try not doing it. I think it's all about timing and how you press the accelerator.
  3. Poor thing :( ...looks unloved, hope someone worthy snaps it up and gives her a good home. Yeah, look at the black engine cover. You can tell how dusty it is from all the finger marks over it.
  4. It does still keep it cool though. For example, after a mountain run, I can hold my hand on the S/C for about 8 seconds before it is too hot to touch. Previously, it would burn immediately. That's a decent difference. I'm sure the S/C is thanking you for it. At least now you know that when you are giving the S/C a workout it's getting decent air flow.
  5. Nice. One guy that truly deserves it. Daryl has helped me heaps of times on TOCA no matter how stupid my questions were :P
  6. So I was wondering, how is the air hole for the S/C going?
  7. Yeah, that colt is just as nice man. Just had a look at the pics and you sure know how to mod a car to make it look elegant :P
  8. It took me two days to clean it. I started Monday and finished Yesterday, washed it three, yes three times! I washed HALF the car and by the time I washed half the car the bucket of water was almost black as, so I emptied it and made some fresh water for the other half of the car, I then dried, after drying I clayed, after claying I washed the car AGAIN. I dried the whole car head to toe and every edge and corner, also gave the engine a clean. Yesterday I drove the car into the garage and waxed the whole car, tyre shine and then sat back and marvelled at my work. Car looks so shiny. Has that nice show room sparkle to it that I love after washing a car like that. I'm NEVER going to leave it that long again. Rain or no rain.
  9. Are you for real? Oh crap. All this time I'm thinking you have a Aurion Why did you get rid of Aurion and why is it still in the sig
  10. Nice. I used to be a Holden guy ages ago but I really love these new fords.
  11. Wait, I'm confused? Is this your car or a look alike?
  12. Been looking around to not much luck. Oh well <_<
  13. A stock Aurion is NOT a police magnet at all. My three years I had the 97 wide body Camry I had been in four booze buses, first three was an alcohol test and licence check, the forth one was alcohol, drugs, and licence check! Since I got the Aurion, I have been to three booze buses and not once was I asked for driver's licence. It's always a quick blow into the machine and I'm on my way.
  14. LOL. I guess DJKOR is the worst driver in the world then. Having gone through the trouble of installing a camera and also has parking sensors :P But seriously, for a car that is big like the Aurion, these parking sensors have saved my butt heaps of times literally.
  15. Thanks for the information. Yes it is Melbourne's crappy air and I ain't joking. Today I was walking to my gym and I took notice of the smell of the air and it was disgusting. Just filled with fume smells. As I was getting closer to gym there was no traffic at all while I was crossing the road and the air was still bad! lol. So is there an activated carbon filter you know of for the Aurion? Google doesn't say much. Also the parking sensors. It's annoying to see that it can't be put into the existing system but at least there is spare empty slots to put the second button next to the existing parking sensor button. Well Mercede's and BMW's and the like all have front front parking sensors. Why can't mine :P Edit: I think the number plate holder will annoy the sensors. <_<
  16. I had used lithium grease from day one of fitting mine. Sportivo went through something like 50,000km, never got squeaks. TRD has so far gone through 25,000km and I am yet to get any squeaks. Each to their own. This is the grease I used, lithium grease. Weird that it came back. @Tofuboi, thats good to hear. I definitely noticed a difference in handling and I still do.
  17. I have some teflon tape in the garage. Will try it out.
  18. This man is dedicated to his job alright. He still aint back from work :P
  19. Alright, well after putting the grease on the sound went away. Now it's back! I used the correct grease as well. What grease should I use then that will not cause the squeaking again?
  20. The Aurion does a poor job at blocking fume smells from the outside when the A/C system is on fresh so 80% I have to leave it on recirculation and this is really bad because windows fog up when the heater is hot and it's really cold outside. I heard that there are some special air filters you can buy I think it's like carbon something? And these block out the bad smells somehow or trap them. Is there something like this I can buy to replace the current A/C filter? And, one thing I dislike what Toyota have done is put front SIDE parking sensors but not front front. If I were to buy two sensors and install them just like the rear which have two back and two side, would this work?
  21. Silver FTW! You should see my car now, its so dirty the back tyres have flinged up mud onto the back bumper. Looks like the cars a rear wheel drive and I've been doing burnout outs in mud. LOL. No point cleaning her. It's raining everyday. In fact as I type this and about to head out it's pouring down rain. <_< One day when the weather is going to be okay for at least a week (by checking on BOM) I'll be waking up at 8am and start cleaning by 9AM and this will be a clean like yours. The absolute works including clay. This is probably irrelevant but do you think it takes longer cleaning the TRD or the Sportivo?
  22. Rubber mate... rubber LOL. Thanks for that man. I was thinking to myself plastic does not sound right edit: Not to mention I'm tired as anything. Woke up at 6am this morning to do a four hour exam but still had energy to clean the car lol:P
  23. Wow. Good stuff mate, thanks for sharing :)
