  1. Awesome. Good to see that it does. I've been doing it for the last 4 months and was always wondering if they did unlock but was too lazy to ask until now. Thanks for the clarification DJKOR and everyone else who helped! :) p.s I also remember reading about the ignition kill in the manual. edit: lol I just realised you know about the ignition kill through personal experience not the manual :P
  2. I've been trying to find this answer in the manual but can't find any information about it. When driving I always lock my doors when I start driving. I usually lock it at the first red light I get. It's become such a habit to do it it's no different to remembering to indicate. It's really just for safety reasons. Having my door's unlocked at intersection's for me feels no different then having every single door in my home unlocked 24/7. As much as its a safety thing but it could also be a death trap. I heard that some cars automatically unlock the doors when you have been in a accident that was enough for airbags to go off(hope it never comes to that). Does the Aurions unlock?
  3. Inside of the car was a ripe mess. Stepping in and out of the car while ****** down rain for the last week and also the cars been running around like a taxi so it was fairly dirty inside(well below my standards anyway, most other people are like what mess? lol). So I gave the inside a nice 1 hour detail then vacuum. I didn't clean the exterior because the weather is horrible and raining on off :)
  4. I steam cleaned mine few weeks ago. The Aurion stitching on them was all black but after giving it a very heavy duty steam clean with heaps of nice smelling chemicals that also remove stains the white stitching is back to clean white and no longer black, it also made the rest of the floor mats clean as anything.
  5. I think it has something to do with Toyota drivers because they are always the mature ones on the road.
  6. Mate why do you want to go through all that trouble? It's only 40 litres, use it. It's good fuel at least because its 98. I used to use Shell-98 and never had this problem. I've been using BP98 now for the last 5 months and also no problem. I also got fresh fuel for her today and still running fine. Maybe next time throw in a FULL bottle of fuel doctor (search on supercheap auto) and fill her up with BP98. I've so far never experienced this smell.
  7. I will no way in this life and my next life pay $60,000 for a ford focus. It looks like a great car but the price tag is stupid.
  8. best do to some search on the site and also ask on the corrolla section of this thread. pretty sure the rolla boys will help you out :)
  9. Yeah mate. Let me know when you find some Cusco gear for the Aurion. Because Ultra Racing used to send out red urethane bushes. Guess they stopped using them because they could probably get the black ones cheaper or something. Ah okay, fair enough.
  10. What is that the bat mobile? I wonder though that because these guys are playing with the front's so much that they are ruining the car's aerodynamics?
  11. Yeah I was thinking the same thing that thicker ends shouldn't make a difference to the overal 'performance'. I wonder that if you push the car enough that because of the less threading it will just rip out, just a wild thought . Edit: Why are your plastic things red?
  12. .. Once again DJKOR beats me to it -_- Yeah pictures like that but I'm hoping to take few close up's. I found the biggest different are the ends where the bolts go in. The original is much thinner then the UR which of course it should be being few MM's thicker. I'm actually surprised by the UR actually, didn't thick it was going to be any different from stock but even now having it and visually inspecting it and feeling it you can tell it should make a difference in body roll etc. :)
  13. Just had a look at the one on the car and compared it to the ultra racing and the one on the car looks like a twig compare to the 19mm rear sway bar. When it is out of the car I'll take shots of both showing comparison.
  14. :D <-- The front looks like its doing that, made me laugh heaps :P I love the rest of the car though. White on white looks effing hot.
  15. Just received my rear sway bar and I thought I'll take some pictures of it. I'm also hoping to take pictures during installation as well so that's why I made a dedicated thread. I hope this helps anyone else deciding to buy one. http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk63/zomgunique/Car/DSCN3175.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk63/zomgunique/Car/DSCN3173.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk63/zomgunique/Car/DSCN3167.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk63/zomgunique/Car/DSCN3166.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk63/zomgunique/Car/DSCN3156.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk63/zomgunique/Car/DSCN3154.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk63/zomgunique/Car/DSCN3153.jpg Cheers.
  16. The all new Aurion: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2007-Toyota-Aurion-GSV40R-Champagne-6sp-Sedan-/370408941084?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Cars&hash=item563e17e61c
  17. Thats great news mate that you were not left out of pocket for their inability to do what they were paid to do,afterall it costs no more to do the job required correctly. So mate I know you dont want to name them but to put our minds at rest can you at least let us know what state and also what town or at least what area you had it in at;;;It leaves a sour note in your mouth and what they dont think about is the fact that you are going to tell your mates and they are going to tell someone and on and on it goes. Its just pure incompetence and being totally slack, but anyway good to hear +1. At least tell us what state/town/city ?
  18. Very nice. Black TRD is a very risky car to clean Well yesterday after gym I gave inside of the car a vacuum after its been a taxi for the last three days and today I washed it. No wax or anything. Just a regular wash with megs wash and wax and dry(inside doors, boot, bonnet, fuel lid etc), tyre shine and go for a quick drive :)
  19. Oh so thats what that is! I thought there was like a rat crawling around that seat belt area
  20. I think I'll be eating all my words(so don't quote me DJKOR ) Today was getting a tinny rattle from the drivers side. I'm afraid like the OP because of these horror stories. I think I should get it fixed anyway before the KM's are too high and the dealer uses that against me (even though I have warranty) and says it's normal for cars with high KM's. I'm going to hopefully push for dash rattle fix, centre console creeks and the rear parcel shelf rattle. Has anyone had this fix besides the OP? How was your outcome?
  21. As long as you don't expect it to transform into a sports car, then you won't be disappointed. I wouldn't say it would combat it. It will make it slightly harder to get body roll from the weight transfer, but the bar only has so much torsion. As the weight transfer increases, the bar effectiveness will decrease. Nah for sure, I'm not putting my expectations that high. That was a pretty damn good explanation, I fully understand what you mean :). I'm quite happy with how the car performs around corners as it is so I guess the new bar should live up to expectations. I also need some new rubber soon as well so that should also help with turning as well. Cheers!!
  22. Got a email from the guy, he has received my payment and will be sending it soon. I was just wondering though, today I bought petrol and then I had 3 passengers in the car. The car felt so sluggish around corners with all that extra weight with almost a full tank of 98 and 3 passengers. Will the new sway bar combat that sluggish feel because its a thicker bar? I can't explain things for crap lol.
  23. Surprisingly it wasn't. To get it to make some noise like when I was accelerating in the tunnels, I had to get it to shift into 2nd then apply about 1/2 to 2/3 throttle. Any more than that it would firstly have a good tendency to kick into 1st to get more acceleration or it would simply pick up revs too quickly. Once the revs get high, the engine noise alone is louder than the supercharger. It's a shame it is too quiet. You don't hear much supercharger whine out there. Well here's more what a supercharged Toyota should sound like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rs2jklMOOs I want one now My cousin has the same car, sportivo version v6. Amazing what you can do to it.
