  1. So true, once you drop something in there it's like the end of the world and the Aurion gobbles it up never to be seen again. Luckily everything I'd dropped in there (from screws to mini sd card). Thankfully I've been able to retrieve these after looking around in there with a flashlight.
  2. Thanks mate. Well worth using the front stockies for now. I might even never change them unless they stuff up for what ever reason. The sound is amazing. Great speakers even though they're stock.
  3. Bit dodgy on the bottom but once the carpet was back on I went around with a sharp stanley knife and sits perfectly flush. Also put heaps under the boot, around the spare tyre and rear bumper by taking the black scuff cover off. Doesn't stop rattles 100% as the whole car shakes and rattles with the bass up but it really does make a difference on the inside of the car and also did dramatically reduce boot rattle. Gotta be happy with that :). My first exterior decal
  4. 9 months and no updates on this beaut?
  5. should i get a chrome grill??? too much "bling"?? :\. Bit on the fence with this one

  6. Fk yeah!! Repping the TRD/Aurions man! :). Looks good as. Loving the silver eye lids, where'd you get those?? I constantly scroll up to look at the car... again...... and again . The mod bug hits me hard when I see your car man!
  7. Today I went and ran all speaker cables and another RCA cable I bought from Supercheap (Sony brand) from the wiring harness to the amp and followed DJKOR's wiring guide and everything turned out to be a success. I can safely say that I am using the front STOCK speakers with an amp and what a big difference! Way louder than having the fronts connected directly to the HU. Pretty damn proud of myself, I did it all without any help at all. Took me about 4 hours in total but had absolutely no trouble what so ever. In total, all four speakers are running off the 4 channel amp and and the sub running off the mono block. The system is LOUD! haha :D . Running the front stock speakers is not bad at all TBH, decent bass and treble and very loud. It satisfies me but I just need to be careful not to pop them as I heard running stockies they pop easy, but another excuse to buy new front speakers Now all I need to do is install the Dynamat in the boot when that comes this week and I'll take some snaps if anyone interested :) Ahh, the joys of cables, not!
  8. Just remember to put your power down one side and the RCA down the other side. I don't think there is any difference which side you put power and RCA and vice verse. The biggest obstacle I came across would be if you're using an after market HU and you haven't done the cabling yet that can be a pain in the *****. So make sure you use the wiring guide found in the FAQ and the after market HU manual. Also another I found bit difficult was running the power through the nipple on the passenger side but is doable. If I have done it, anyone can.
  9. Few of those 'rattles' are things you can pull out and fix yourself IMO. Most of those require a bit of your time and all it really is is just pulling things apart. Not that hard when you get the hang of it since everything is pretty much just held together with clips, then you can add padding etc to fix the rattles. Look around the forums and you'll find many guides to remove most of things you mentioned and have a crack at it if your confident enough :)

  11. yay, Dynamat got dispatched today. hopefully have it by this week so I can install it in the boot :)

  12. I'm actually stupid for replacing the front speakers(for the time being) if I can still use them. Because I have a four channel amp and I bought a monoblock, I now have two spare channels on my amp. My Pioneer HU has 3 RCA pre-outs. FRONT/REAR/SW. If I ran an RCA from the FRONT RCA preout to the two channels on the amp, would that work? Reason why I want to do this is so I can increase the gain on the fronts and to reduce the bass by tuning from the amp because they are way quieter than the rear speakers and it's annoying having all that sound come from behind you.
  13. So I've got everything setup and and working as seen here: Now I'm dying to change the front speakers. They'll be hooked up to the amp as now I have a monoblock and 4 channel, the 4 channel now has two spare RCA inputs that I can use for the front speakers. I want it to be a less painful as possible because I know that once I start pulling apart the Aurion it's a headache to pull apart and put back together. Also something that is almost a direct fit with the existing screw holes etc. If spacers are absolutely required so matter what, I'd want something I can purchase as well. So what have you done and know that works with the Aurion? I'm wanting to get a setup where you get the normal speaker and the little tweeter as well.
  14. My new system! 400RMS Kicker mono block amp, 4 channel Kicker amp and my brand spanking new 1400w Pioneer sub! Pumps hard :D. Got rid of the Kicker sub. way too weak for a sedan. My mate has the same kicker sub as I had but in a hatchback. Pumps really good but of course it would in a hatch back but for the Aurion once you closed the boot the sub would sound ***** weak and underpowered. This new pioneer is worlds better than the Kicker I had. Definitely a good choice for the Aurion :). Had it all installed thanks to a good mate of mine. Definitely something like this requires two brains and extra two pair of hands, lol. I made do with the left over cable from my initial set-up. Oh yeah, but anyway, if you know anyone who wants the Kicker sub PM me :)..
  15. Purchased me a Dynamat XtremeTrunk Boot Kit & Dynamat Dyna Roller. Hopefully this will reduce/stop the hideous boot rattle from the sub

  16. Take it back to the dealer? From what I recall all parts/service you get from the dealers comes with a 1 year warranty. I remember I had the a/c service done and 9 months in I was not happy. The dealer saw I was still in the one year warranty and even 9 months later they were happy to redo the a/c service free on charge. Good luck.
  17. Yeah, I'll be be putting on new rims after the coilovers. I'll drop the height a little but I wouldn't want to go too low as to make it obvious. It's all money money money.
  18. Thanks for the replies. So what are you sitting on? Legal or not? :)
  19. So in vic you can't go lower than 10cm/100mm. I just done the coke can test and placed it under the lowest point in the car at the exhaust and the gap I can barely put my finger through it. I measured the coke can at 11cm so I'm wondering how do you guys get away with having lowered your car? Thinking of going pedders tomorrow to get the Pedders xa kit installed but wondering how low should I go? I don't wanna risk it!
  20. Looks good! Thinking of getting these installed too. One thing though, how do you adjust the rear? I can see for the front it's easy but where abouts would the adjustment be for the rear? Pics maybe??
  21. The ZR6 has really grown on me. Wanting one heaps.
  22. I went to ultratune to do my 90k service and I'm also from melb northern suburbs. They were no problem at all and charged cheap for labour. I bought my own supplies which saved me hundreds of dollars instead of using their marked up prices. All I needed to pay was labour and I spoke directly with the manager/boss and haggled a bit and got a good price. Service was very good too and at the end they put all old parts like spark plugs etc in a box so I can suss out. Just gotta be a sweet talker and make small talk with the boss and mechanic to make em sure to 'do a good job mate :)'.
