  1. Welcome You'll find most members here own the newer generation zz models so we don't really know too much about your model (except for rollamods) However, checkout toymods.org, they'll be able to help you out much better there with info for your model. Cheers.
  2. Japanese Racer's rely on Apexi (Now Apexera) or similar priced and specified ecu's for tuning around 200hp (154kw) ATW outputs on small capacity n/a engines. They only switch to MOTEC or similar once they start chasing outputs well over that.
  3. The slots are pointed forward to more quickly release the heat between the pad and rotor that causes brakes fade after repeated hard stops.
  4. :) BigBum can organise the sound-off comp DOOF DOOF DOOF :D
  5. Its a long story... to put the 6-pot brakes on they had to fit spacers to the wheels which increased the front track... now the outer edge of the tyres scrape the inner edge of the guard... it only happens on extremely hard conering or really big bumps... but its annoying the crap out of me when it does happen. 1 more deg camber should fix the problem. I used to run -3 deg on my Sti and was conering so hard it used to wear pretty evenly. I though about using a bolt at the bottom but its a very dodgy way of doing it. I could get 40 profile tyres from 45 profile but I was hoping not to have to waste the money.... thanks for the input guys.... ← Ahh, is that with the Brembo's ?
  6. How about the following Categories: Modded means modifications to engine performance (Eg Filter, Intake, Exhaust etc) -Most Powerful stock 2zz Corolla -Most Powerful modded 2zz Corolla -Most Powerful stock 1zz Corolla -Most Powerful modded 1zz Corolla -Most Powerful stock Other -Most Powerful modded Other And then of course we simply have an overall ranking for all inclusive.
  7. I might join up late if the cruise is happening ...
  8. Why would you want more than -2 degrees though, It'll chew the crap out of your front tyres.
  9. Check with the guys at 9thgencorolla.com They're mostly from the US and will be able to hook you up with where to go and what'll fit.
  10. Isn't odd for a CV joint to wear out on a Corolla that has stock suspension? I thought CV's wore out mostly on 4WD's that have raised suspension or cars that have been lowered more than 2"?
  11. I felt the difference at the first corner I threw my car into after it was installed, turn in feels more confident and stable. But I definetely would stay away from adjustable and where possible (not applicapable to ZZ Corolla's) try and go for a three point bar that also bolts into the firewall ( I think rollaboy had one like this on his old car ). Torsional Rigidity is the benefit it brings and an adjustable bar will never be as rigid as a solid bar. But with that said, unless you're building a 300km/h track weapon, adjustable units would still bring benefits to Corolla's turn in, but a solid bar is always better.

  13. :D SWEEEEET ! MELBOURNE DYNO DAY is a GO ! Now to start polishing my baby because it'd be a shame to have a 20+ car meet and not do a photo shoot.
  14. Alpine R are nice and quite versatile. I've experimented with one. By placing it in a small sealed enclosure and it gave great tight/sharp base. Then I placed the same one in an enclosure that was double the size of the previous one, still sealed and it put out deep elongated bass. So you can have either type of sound with the same sub, just change the enclosure which if you're on a budget you can make yourself with some MDF, Silicone and Carpet.
  15. Unless they're HID, the greater the more blue they go (The greater the colour temp) the less actual light output they generate, even though they look cool Philips Blue Vision and Vision Plus are ADR compliant, Diamond Vision and Crystal Vision aren't. Narva Arctic Vision are ADR compliant. PIAA are also ADR compliant Basically anything that is clearly Blue in colour is illegal so be aware you may get pulled over by the police for it. Only those that are white (with a slight hint of blue) are legal.
  16. Yes but like Lucio posted we need 20 to make it all happen

    Wheels

A friend of mine will be opening his business to the public soon. He's already been trading with dealers specialising in Wheels for Euro cars such as Mercedes-Benz and Audi. Soon he'll be going direct to public and will be able to get you almost any wheel brand that you desire at very good prices and NO they're not sh!tty replicas made from melted down pots and pans, only genuine products. So if you're thinking of getting wheels in the future, just wait until I can post up the business details. Coming Soon !
  23. Welcome Embum has a nice one - check out his.
