  1. Dan You're definetely right, I'd love to have it Ghetto low! it would look the goods. But looking at the places I drive, and some of the driveways/kerbs I need to clear I really can't have my car as low as yours man. Plus I also have 205/45/17's (a size I'm likely to stick with in future) which would most likely rub if lower than what I'm thinking.
  2. Kcorro, I've read in the UK CAR mag reports of timing belts breaking on the 2zz-ge's at high revs...maybe the same thing. I've also read up on US forums that some who've fitted CAI's have experienced knocking. According to them it was almost undetectable but it was there, so not enough to kill the motors immediately but enough to cause long term damage. Just something to look out for when putting in your CAI.
  3. Thanks Lucian ... 40mm drop sounds good :D And you call me the forum clown :P
  4. That's it, I've had enough of people saying you need to lower your car, when it already is (Although you can hardly call 25mm lowered so fair enough) and plus I just want it to be looking just that way... So I have a question for those of you currently riding on Eibach Pro's. We all know that King Low 35mm springs can settle an additional 5mm after a while so they come down to approx 40mm in total after time. Have you experienced the same sort of additional drop with Eibach Springs? Cheers
  5. The TRD unit is certainly good value considering the gains. Believe me I've done the sums and research on it. It's quite well thought out, being designed to bolt on and operate with all existing engine ancilaries. It replaces the existing inlet plenum and the fifth injector is a nice touch both ensuring the engine doesn't lean out at high rpm and also giving a cooling effect to the engine. And there's alot of users in the US who run it reliably with no problems to talk of, in fact, they seem to have a preference to supercharging 1zz's rather than buying 2zz's. Only thing is, Unlike in the US there's no support here at all for it, once you have it, you're on your own and I certainly wouldn't want to take that risk. The ECU they sell with it in the US isn't suitable for the AUS spec rolla, so that's why Danz said just purchase without ECU.
  6. We can try but they're usually pretty busy on Saturdays. I'll give them a call too.
  7. Yeah, the non-turbo blow off valve! :D
  8. :) I've seen them both drive and trust me she knows how to steer.
  9. Most exhaust places will weld on a Crome/Steel one for around $40. and a Stainless steel one for around $70.
  10. Having just spent a few weeks in Italy and riding around in various model diesels I have to say that other than the fact they sound like tractors at low rpms, small capacity turbo diesels have got my vote. They're super torquey at low rpms, cruise effortlessly at speed, use bugger all fuel and have got great overtaking power on the highways.
  11. :D Good to see more people having a go at custom work, keep us posted how on how you go.
  12. Hmm 2006 Japan Built Sportivo... My car will be out of warranty in 2006... Maybe a planned update for next year, my wheels and suspension would go nicely on a new one :D I wonder what sort of change over I can get on mine?
  13. All the petrol stations I saw only had one type of unleaded and diesel pumps. So I assume its 95 RON.
  14. I'm happy with my Remus, but for less than what I paid for rear muffler and flange alone, Danz got a very good full custom Job done (Extractors inc) and it sounds quite similar and performs better. Just shop around and do the research.
  15. Mr Consistent ! Good Skills, nice times Wei Wei. ;)
  16. Hey I'm back... wow this has come along nicely. Now to organise it. Been in contact with the Dyno place, they're yet to take delivery of the new Dyno and they're not optimistic about having before the end of the year. However the owner stated he may be able to use another workshop/dyno in Fairfield but we need to indicate what date/s we want so he can try and arrange it for us. Saturday would be best and we need to give at least 4 weeks notice so unless anyone has objections I will aim for either Sat 01/10/05 or 08/10/05...
  17. Lucian, another design you may want to look at and pirate is the BMC CDA or Dynamic Air Intake. It's essentially a boxed SRI that's also designed to increase air velocity.
  18. Yeah I had a similar problem with my e-tag, except it's the e-tag itself that rattles and still gives me the sh!ts !
  19. It's damn catchy just like Bob the Builder ! You don't want to sing along but before you know it, you've turned it up full blast and start singing along
  20. I've waited two years and now I'm starting to think the stock green/grey looks good enough
  21. Don't they use those motors in Open Wheelers? kind of like our Formula Ford series?
