  1. 2 things: 1) could be spark plugs misfiring meaning your engine is due for 100,000 kms if i am guessing depending on 07 model your sig says 2) I would not go for dealer garages if you are out of warranty. Shop around for other servicing places My warranty expired this year so on my next service it's different places I will go for. It will no longer be capped price after warranty expires. I have heard some places offers capped price for service be it either minor or major
  2. You are not the only one. I got flashed recenly yet i can see my lights on the rear of the car at the traffic light intersection. I guess it turns itself off for a few secs without you realising it. I do have auto head lights which could mean the automatic head light console inside the dash board (in between the vents for defogging front window). I am guessing yours is probably dislodged so I suggest you check yours. One other thing is smallest one is parker lights, middle one is normal head lights, big one is high beam FYI http://s276.photobucket.com/user/brookeybaby89/media/259381747.jpg.html
  3. Had similar problem but learnt a lesson. I was in a high theft area one time and of course the party in there led to sleeping the alcohol off and i accidently left the key fob in my pocket so whenever i turned to where my side (the pocket where the fob is) the fob activated the boot release button. I left the boot wide open the entire early morning of hours while I was asleep but lucky for me the boot was empty of anything in it (I had esky and camping chair to the party which i put in the room where I slept). Since then at each party, i make sure the keys are not in my pockets before sleeping. Which brings to a point: check your key fob to see if the boot release button has been jammed down. That's probably what's causing your boot to open on its own even if the car is locked or unlocked.
  4. Noticed most of you are from pre facelift aurions (2006-mid 2009). Mine is a facelift one and yet to see any sticky dashboard cos I have dash cover on it. Is there anyone from mid 2009 to late 2011 aurions that have such issue?
  5. Abs, from what I saw on google it looks closer to a Sevizia brand on 19 inch rim. I would try the Advanti ones I think goes well with aurion if you think that's your way to go And I am due for new tyres but i also want to replace my rims too because as i have full spare in the boot, all 5 matching stock toyota rims, one of the rims got a crack on it already (the spare one!!!). I will wait for tyre to wear out first (think another 2,000 kms or April).
  6. Hi Shane, Someone on this forum has excellent rims to go with aurions no matter what colour http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/uploads/gallery/album_1240/gallery_29924_1240_31063.jpg Also someone has same colour as your cars...many spoke one: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/uploads/monthly_09_2010/post-20658-128530873518.jpg Skeetus - Gloss black rims doesn't seem to go well with liquid metal but on a white one. Example this one: https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfa1/t31.0-8/1149552_10200855619526952_1259846401_o.jpg
  7. Did you do any exhaust system changes? Chances are the O2 sensor could be dirty or out of alignment.
  8. Is plastic dipping to match paint colour on those bumper black bits an option for you or you haven't thought about it?
  9. Filled my car up on 29/10/2014 BP Ulitmate RON98. $88 on that day I remember. 505kms later 11/11/2014BP Ultimate RON98 again. Again $88. Filled up to 58 litres. Fuel consumption from 29th October to 11th October = 8.70 litres per 100kmh. This was mixed of country and city. Not bad I say.
  10. Mine was shaking quite a lot a week after I had my car serviced at Scarboro Toyota. Also my petrol which was full tank prior to service disappeared in just 5 days when it should have been 2 weeks max! On Sunday morning when I cleaned out rubbish in the car, I immediately noticed one of my tyres were flat so i went to petrol station and had air put in. Machine recorded: Front left tyre: 11 psi Front right tyre: 20 psi Rear left tyre:20 psi Rear right tyre: 28 psi I was absolutely livid when I saw this and swore blue at Scarboro. They were supposed to have done the tyre air checks when doing servicing. I have left a message to them to say I wasn't happy to have flat tyres all round!!! And I wasn't the only Aurion at the petrol station. There was a modified white one with 2 asians and the owner got his car serviced just a week before (same as me) but at different place. His was bloody similar to mine! Since putting air back in tyres, the steering wheel wasn't shaking anymore but the petrol use still dropped quickly leading me to think maybe the front wheels are not aligned properly so I am booking my car in at a reputed wheel alignment place in 2 weeks (back log). I also suspect i may have a hole in my left front tyre cos it seems to feel soft again. Cheers Dave
  11. Um excuse me but...did the aurions actually have a green car in the past? Your car is the first one I have seen on forum as most are red, black, white and blue and silver too.
  12. Yes. The VVTI issue is for models before 2009 facelift. Ours are already recitified
  13. Bad Wolf that's wicked. Been thinking of doing the same thing to my car but only after i done the road trip to Adelaide in January 2016 for Deaf Games there. That's when warranty expires on my car so fun times for mods.
  14. Ok if you are working in Perth CBD and you don't want to go far from a servicing place to your work, you can't go wrong with Automasters underneath the Wilson Car park off Murray St (just past the intersection of the Milligan St and Murray St). My old Magna always had its services there once my warranty ran out with Mitsubishi and continued to regularly go there for servicing until its write off in car accident back in 2009. And it has a very good price to go with it. Now I think they have set prices. It was very convenient for me On other hand if you are outside CBD, there is Ultra Tune which does all Toyota cars there and still does the same $120 servicing set price there I believe. But it depends on how much kms your car have so best to shop around for good prices. I would personally avoid those petrol stations with garages next to it because that's where extra costs are.
  15. Wait did I read this correcty " 2014 Prodigy with fewer than 500 k on the dial"? You already racked up 500,000 kms or did you actually mean 500 kms? Yes as the above said, give resetting ECU a go.
  16. When I used to own a 2002 Mitsubishi Magna TJ Series 2 Executive sedan (written off in accident caused by hot uni chick), the car came with speed alert and it helps me not to get busted and never got fines with it cos while I do use cruise control, the cruise control can actually run away from you when on slight uphill or downhill. When I later got the silver aurion (since written off) and now black aurion (2012 built before the new ones), the first thing I did was to find where the speed alert button was and I couldn't bloody find it! Now since the couple of posts above mentioned where to look, I will have another look in 3 weeks when I get my car back! Currently my brother is using it while I am on suspension. As for OP, i saw this many months ago it is true the new 2013 and up Aurions do not have this feature next to the clock anymore. I am pretty sure it's either on the sat nav unit or there is a steering control button that shows the menus?
  17. My car is Aurion Touring SE and yes I have the clears. My car is the facelift model and was one of the last Touring SE ones before the new Aurions came out. My car was built february 2012 but lucky for me it arrived just after the infamous 2012 March hail storm. I always did like the clears on the black or silver Aurions. Disliked the clear on other coloured ones. Atm my brother is using my car until mid July then I take my car back! He needed it for work while his gf's V6 camry is on its way out. So instead of taking taxi or transport to his work up in the hills (no transport in his working area). he is borrowing my car while saving up money for a new one. I work in Perth CBD and live in across Swan River so a short bus ride each way anyway.
  18. Go for the red tail lights. If that's what you want to make yourself unique. I am pretty happy with my rear lights.
  19. Isn't that where parker lights are? Parker light (left side), driving lights (the middle lenses) and high beam (right side)...um I am not sure if I am right? Guys can you confirm that?
  20. Sorry for taking so long to reply... HID headlights on sportivo should have clear-ish tinge on the lenses where with halogen the lenses are not clear. Example below. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:2009-2010_Toyota_Aurion_(GSV40R)_Sportivo_ZR6_sedan_02.jpg The above link is the facelift one. You can see this one is different to the other one below: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:2009-2010_Toyota_Aurion_(GSV40R)_AT-X_sedan_02.jpg From your signature you had your headlights modified (can see blue tinge). As for auto level function, it came with headlights sorry I have no idea what it looks like (tried to find it on google). But best guess, look behind on yours and the presara.
  21. Same headlight size but with auto levelling mechanism installed. All headlight sizing should be same on all Aurions grades since they share the same body panelling except skirts on sportivo grades. To get the idea...do you have mates near you that has a plain jane ATX or touring SE like mine (both share the same halogen lights) and compare that size of headlights with your sportivo headlights which should include the auto leveling function if you have HID (I am guessing you might have it)? EDIT: forgot to mention your model is 2010 which is same as mine. Facelift models started after 2009 for GSV40 ones therefore the headlights should be same size. GSV50 are the ones with big ugly sportivo black bumpers but thinner headlights. PRE-facelift headlights would not fit due to new panelling on the front of the facelifts.
  22. Yes - auto leveling function is on sportivo lights where non sportivo doesn't have it. HID vs Halogen if you get the idea.
  23. I have 2011 Toyota Aurion Touring (one of the last ones before the new ones came out) and I noticed my radio set up is different to yours. I can see it says Toyota on it so did you upgrade from standard to the one with nav system?
  24. retro I was there. Yes mostly commmodores and falcons there. They were the ones who stuffed up the Hillarys first meet point and got busted. Only those who had asian company cars liek Toyota and Honda etc were relatively good and didn't hoon at all. By then the unforgotten club organizers bailed out on us and didn't tell us where to go next. I decided to go elsewhere on my own.
  25. Retro I only found this out 2 days ago but forgot to post it until yesterday. I saw an aurion owner posting his picture on the event page
