Remsa is very good at cold. They are great on the mountain runs. I can't handle the dust so I switched them out :/ Problem was I was so used to the good cold braking I was jamming the brake pedal for the first week or so.

      Kenshin X

ummmm my pads the cold braking is crap... =\

I have red silicon behind the brake pads for sure.

I notice that if I brake at a certain amount (around medium-light) the sound comes one. Hard braking no sound at all and feels nice.

  3. WTF. Nunwading Toyota charged me $25 for an Aurion oil filter.

Yeah, when I went to Toyota to grab the filter for my oil change. I was nice to the guy working behind the desk and he gave me the filter for $18 :).

    3. Buff Hamster

      Buff Hamster

most of it is done at uni and some students don't care about other people's belongings. I live in the inner east suburbs so i doubt it's where i live. I also park inside the house so it's never in the street.

man i just looked at it again and realise u guys were saying "v" because it was "lfa" which he didn't get d'oh!lol...might as well change the end of his ebay name to "lawl"

    3. Buff Hamster

      Buff Hamster

Think he was drunk the time he did this. V is sort of like a A just upside down. If i had a LFA i would have the plate LFA, LFA000, LFA001 or LFA500.

  8. How much would it cost for an oil filter wrench for an Aurion from Toyota? Does SCA or repco sell one as well and if so how much?

  9. Sorry for being a HID noob but got 2 questions. 1. Is 4300k meant to have a tint of blue in it? 2. Is it normal for the HID lights to turn blue at startup and turn warmer (whiter) over time while running?

    1. Show previous comments  4 more
    2. Buff Hamster

      Buff Hamster

Well they are 4300k with no adjustment to the projectors. So far no one has high beamed me so i'm probably safe. :)

    3. DJKOR

      DJKOR

Interesting how you say you take a photo of it, they come out yellow, but look blue in person. I find it the other way around.

Anyways, firstly it is right for them to start off a different colour to what they look like warmed up. It's the result of the salts in it heating up and becoming a gas. If you have ever turned on those large warehouse lights that start really dim, you get the idea.

As for the colour, the optic quality of the lens has part in this as well. If...

    4. DJKOR

      DJKOR

the lens is not of high optic quality, the light from the source can "split" so to speak meaning that the final output isn't a clean combination of all the wavelenghts of light so that instead of a pure white colour, you start to see the other components of it. Part of this is also emphasised more because of the fact your projectors weren't made for HID and the light source of the lamp may not sit in the focal point of the lens like the original bulb did.

      but fakes aren't worth $850

    3. JDM-GTFour

      JDM-GTFour

Mine say Rays.. but they also say YORK racing wheels, not Volk, there is the difference. $850 with brand new tyres is still a bargain! But I'm an idiot so maybe not. :)

    4. Buff Hamster

      Buff Hamster

Whatever fits your budget is fine then.

      NOOOO someone placed a bid

  10. Gunmetal or Bronze rims on a silver car? So hard to decide.

  11. Anyone interested in a group buy of Bosch Aerotwin wiper blades? http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/bosch-ar606s-aerotwin-wiper-blade/

      Kenshin X

from my experience, the complete replacement assy with blades will last longer than the rubber replacements. get te goodyear ones from costco, they cost only 24 bucks each (from memory) i've had mine for 3 years and they are still going OK. and they wipe the water off fantastic

    3. DJKOR

      DJKOR

Yeah Kenshin, but your wiper design is a bit old in comparison to the new design is miles ahead in the way they last.

    4. Kenshin X

      Kenshin X

ohhhhhhhhhhhh i c. never mind me then. i never paid attention to the aurion wipers anyways :P

tyres/rims then coils. Will the coils REALLY help?

  13. Would 18x8.5 with a +55 offset clear the brakes on an Aurion?

    2. 4ABHGE

      4ABHGE

Depends on the actual rim design man, fit em up and see!

    3. Buff Hamster

      Buff Hamster

Can't really fit them when the rim is interstate.

    4. DJKOR

      DJKOR

Size and offset alone won't determine whether it will clear the brakes.

  14. To change the parking lights on the headlamps of an Aurion do you have to take off the front bumper?

I had a look and i can't see a hole. Can you give me a bit more detail how to change it? Thanks.

I also peeled the rubber seal on the side of the engine bay and the body was covering the parking light.

      DJKOR

You didn't look at the FAQ's mate. I'd suggest looking there. Hint: I use the word 'parker' in there, so CTRL+F it.

    4. DJKOR

      DJKOR

They are typically $79 a pair for HP-X from Greg, so the price you have means you are getting free shipping.

  18. 18x8.5 +32. Offset too low? Extends out an extra 38mm

    1. Show previous comments  2 more
    2. Buff Hamster

      Buff Hamster

I suspect the extra 3.8cm will cause the tyre to scrape with the wheel arch over bumps. Another reason holding me back on this set of rims :(
