  1. I am loving the jets! omg that is so cool! I'm guessing you've had lots of practise not crash landing. :P
  2. It is bound to happen :P And you need to go sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooower down bumps
  3. lol, was heading out to dinner but I didnt spot you this time.
  4. But it didnt rain at all! :P
  5. lol i was wondering why you were like silent up to the driveway and then roaaaaarrrrrrr.....
  6. Standing outside freestyle at the emporium, I hear this very familiar roar + whine. Looked up and sees a blue camry fly up the street. Guess who?! Lol
  7. Yep that would be me heading into uni to play touch footy.
  8. I too hope that this is a joke. Or a bot. Only thing that I can think of is a hybrid where the engine shuts off but definitely not for the car that he says he has in the profile.
  9. The tyre wear will be quite a bit worst with such a low pressure. The thing with running on such a low pressure on a fwd car is your front left is going to chew the outside edge like no tomorrow. However over inflating the tyre will cause it to wear the middle of the tyre faster.
  10. Well I have the silver camry that was having a little bit of fun down kessels rd with you.
  11. Spotted a great bloke in a Red Corolla Sportivo on Kessels Rd outbound at Mt Gravatt. XXX-LBV or something similar to that.
  12. With the Microfibre cloths, do you guys wash and reuse them? Like when you are using it to buff out the wax by hand, it leaves a whole heap of hard residue on it.
  13. Lol yeah. And to think winter isn't even here yet. It can only get better.
  14. The only noise I am getting is the spring noise when turning. Have had that noise come and go on my front left. The suspension place had a look at it and they said everything looks fine. So I just live with it. it only happens when you are I am going slow like parking at shopping centres. Never when driving. I have my coil overs hardness set at 30 out of 36 on the fronts and about 20 or 25 at the rear. Had it set to that to stop scrubbing in corners when the car was sitting a little too low and to try and decrease the weight transfer on take off. And I've just left it as is even after I adjusted the ride height since I'm used to it and quite a few people from here says its actually not that bad when they rode in the car. If I were to do the suspension again, I would probably go high end adjustable koni range with decent stiff lowering springs as long as the car can stay at the current height. Maybe compared to the lighter eg, it might be way too stiff but for a big heavy sedan, it wasn't too bad.
  15. I'm on D2 coilovers. The softest setting isnt soft, it'll still be fairly bumpy and the hardest setting is well hard! You will feel every single raise, dip, patchwork on the road so it will be one thing you have to get used to. If you hit a pot hole, it can be bone jarring. But saying that I'm used to it and driving anything else now feels like a big boat. The only real advantage to coilovers is adjustable ride height so if you dont need that then you could very much spend that money on a nice set of shocks + springs combo.
  16. Evan is down in gc area. :P Maybe its a good excuse to get him to come to a meet next week.
  17. Big thanks to sb for hosting the meet at his work and also for the prizes. Awesome meeting place. May need more parking though if more turn up tho. Ps full throttle in first is fail when trying to go fast now.
  18. Guess I should bring my boardies again haha. My car needs a wash. Shotgun Mr silverbullet washing my car! :P
  19. Your car is running in limp mode probably. Go to a mechanic and get the check engine light code read, can be a small as just replacing a sensor or 2. The code will tell you what is actually wrong.
  20. If you can plug in an OBD scanner then yours must be different to mine unless the OBD scanner can couple into an entirely different socket as well, with a totally different concept, with a variety of pin arrangements mostly with 3pins and not 2 across. In fact pin TC is located in the middle row on mine. However thanks for your response your info: is appreciated. My understanding is that the OBD2 port has 2 rows of 8 sockets totaling 16. The actual ODB2 port isnt under the hood. It'll be under the dash on the driver's side. Next to where the fuses are. If you stick your head underneath you will see the obd2 plug there.
  21. The gen4's are OBD2 but they has to be read from the mechanics. Unless you own the special $8000-15000 scanner that mechanics use. NONE of the cheapy scanners will read it (I have one :( ). However all you need to do is short out 2 pins (TC and E1) in the engine bay and your check engine light will flash you the code.
  22. It's a known fact that if you stand next to the person who always gets bitten, you yourself won't be. :-P. I didn't get bitten at all last night. So we now know who to stand around. Haha. Still tempted to visit the dyno day this weekend though.
  23. Firstly O-rings from Toyota is $5 each. I was asking about them before my supra injectors install. Are you taking the actual lower intake manifold off? You'll need to get new gaskets for them if you do and they are $45 each and you need 2. While you are down there tho, you might as well change the coolant bypass hose unless you like purchasing lots new gaskets. Getting injectors cleaned is a very good idea as they do get dirty. They replace the o-rings for you too. It's not that expensive either, about $30 per injector.
  24. Is there much modification involved to get them working right and up to ADR standard though?? I've been interested in their tail lights as well but was a bit put off by some of their negative feedback. But if they're the mob you bought off I'd probably be willing to give them a shot. It all depends on how the cutoff is formed in the projector. Some of them, like the lexus rx330 ones have a metal plate the forms the cutoff. And this metal plate just needs to be flipped around and it'll have the right cutoff so it depends on what type of projectors they use in the headlights. Chances are all you need to do is flip this metal plate and it'll work perfectly but this will mean you have to open up the headlights so baking them, prying them apart then pulling the projectors out of the headlight to look. I got the lights from them but they charge a hell of a lot for shipping. Pretty much double what the shipping actually was :(
