  1. Had a run up and down mt cootha tonight to get into the swing of things on the way home from footy :P I have to say, night time mountain driving is a lot slower/scarier than day time runs.
  2. I should be out this Thursday if everything goes to plan! And might pick up those other bits and pieces off you Dave :)

    Evo's 1zz

Event got cancelled due to the dust storm :(
  4. How does king manage to not just smoke up the tyres launching that high in the rev. Easing the clutch out at 3k rpm spins the wheels with my car and thats only part throttle. Full throttle just smokes it up completely lol
  5. I'll probably just be spectating if I'm going. No helmet and stuff. And I was thinking about the dust storm bit too.
  6. I may come to watch Evo too. It all depends where I am late in the afternoon. Are you guys meeting up together to drive down?
  7. Was going to come out tonight but dinner didn't finish till like 9, so I wouldnt have gotten there till like nearly 10 :( Wanted to see Evan's car!
  8. Is that a tupperware box zip tied sideways ?! :P
  9. Lucky its my day off! Woke up this morning thinking, something doesnt feel right. It went from beige to full blown orange and now its back to the beige colour. Now I know what the world looks like through rose coloured sunnies :P. Do you work in the area? :o
  10. Where: You'll have to go second hand from America and be prepared to pay about US$2k+ for the kit and then add shipping and customs of about AUD$1k. How: Dave, aka supatouring would be the person to speak to as he was about to s/c a gen5.5 before he got his current car. For our RHD cars you'll need to modify/move the brake master cylinder as the supercharger pulley sits right there. I think there are extra things that needs to be done to the Gen5 compared to the gen4s. At 4psi you should be getting roughly 150kw atw using the stock ecu. You can get more if you get a piggy back + tuning. You wont need to upgrade anything other than maybe some colder spark plugs. At 5.5psi you'll be getting roughly about 190kw atw. You will need to put a 190lph fuel pump, upgraded injectors, a fuel line mod and a piggy back computer. With a good tune, everything will still be fine. Anything above 5.5psi, intake temperature is begining to be a problem and thus a case of deminishing returns from the extra boost. It also increasing the risk of detonation and knock sensors blowing. However, too much power also means that it'll be very difficult to cleanly launch the car off the line. At 4psi, wheel spin in first is a big problem already!
  11. Its for the rear speakers if you have them There is 6 cables all up in that plug. 2 of which arent used. http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Toyota-Wiring.pdf
  12. lol I only happened to be outside walking up the road to spot you :P .
  13. Oh that would have been me getting stuff at woolies after lunch. Spotted - nice blue gen 5 camry with black rims on Beaudesert Rd this afternoon at about 1pm going past where I work ! I think it's andrew357's.
  14. You need those 2 caliper brackets + Supra rotors. Oh and by the way, I was offered 8piston ksports for only 2k or so in a group buy....
  15. Any exhaust shop will be able to do this for you :)
  16. If i remember correctely, its pretty sure its around 15.6-16 as per spec sheets that I have seen. And here it is. Compares most of the common cars. http://www.jaftan.com.au/928/400m.pdf
  17. And its already has the much loved GTP kit!
  18. Not to rain on your parade but.... Hope you guys do realise that strut bars make diddly-squat difference in handling because that is a lot of effort trying to get one. And Addy with Gen4s, you can get the TRD one from the states. Yes they do fit, as I have one fitted to the car now, but it didnt get it for its performance.
  19. Stock isnt 19mm thick. The whiteline upgraded one is 19mm thick! From the superpro catalogue the stock bars comes either as 16mm or 17mm as they are the sizes that are made for gen4s. Sway bar makes the most difference. So on a budget, I'd just get the whiteline sway bar for about $180 and then work from there. The lowering springs did their job of making it stiffer and lowering the car but I personally wouldnt say it made as much difference as what a sway bar would.
  20. how much would it cost to get it couriered down...lol i would drive to brissy to get it, how thick is it? and do u have ur old coilovers? Its too big for Auspost. And courier costs heaps unfortunately. It'll be easier if you find a wrecker with it in stock. And unfortunately i dont have my old set of suspension anymore (not coil overs), I sold them a while back, had kings superlows + stock shocks.
  21. If you were in brisbane, you could come pick up the thicker touring rear sway bar that i have just sitting here :P Touring models do have bilstein shocks and have stiffer lowered (slightly) springs from factory.
  22. Yeah, i'd only rebuild it if there is something wrong with it in the first place. OR if you are chasing big boost ie putting forged pistons and stronger shafts. [edit] And I'd spend the money on new suspesion than ones from the wreckers. You dont know what could be wrong with them or how long they have been sitting there. You may be buying into more problems + all the suspension bar the touring and the grande are the same.
