  1. The restrictive bit is where the front and rear bank joins up.
  2. You probably could do it yourself but you'll need to buy all the bends and a Y collector pipe to weld though everything together though. Oh and you probably wont be able to do it as neat or as tidy as a shop unless you have the proper tools and skills :) Stock Y pipe
  3. Show them a picture of the Y-pipe. And you could always get the TRD exhaust :P

    cv joints

Its the joints thats the problem. But people either replace the whole thing or just have the joints rebuilt. Its not expensive. I think it's like 150 per side if you want to get it rebuilt by a CV joint specialist. Pity you arent here in Brissy coz I have a pair sitting here from when I had the 5sp conversion.
  5. Here you go! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TRD-Supercharger-Camry-Solara-V6-1mz-92-01-99-03_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ65Q3a1Q7c66Q3a2Q7c39Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_t rksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem1e5790c4d1QQitemZ130318124241QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ 5 fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories://http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TRD-...sQ5fAccessories And Adam, our US contact knows the person and car.
  6. And you can use RainX :) This way, you wont even need to use your wipers :)
  7. It all depends on budgets. Is your car auto or manual? In terms of performance mods, there arent much for our cars. Exhaust and CAI will give you some extra power but nothing huge. If you want power, the best and cheapest way to make big power would be to pick up a supercharger kit from the states. I'd actually look into the handling side of things first. Our v6s make decent power stock, but handles like a land barge. Get the Whiteline rear sway bar to get rid of all the understeer. Then you can look into the springs and shockies.
  8. Umm the 1mz is rev limited at about 6300rpm or so. I've hit it quite a few times myself. Here is a video of a gen4 1mz hitting the rev limiter. It has a charger on it but that doesnt affect the rev limiter. http://au.truveo.com/Turbo-vs-Supercharged...y/id/2589798331
  9. It was a nice night abeit cold when the wind comes along. Nice to meet a few more people too on the forums too!
  10. I might head out there after work at the pharmacy. :P :P
  11. If you already have a kit, all you need to do is buy some bulbs, the ballast and leads are all the same. And D2S bulbs are cheap by themselves off ebay. I just had to replace mine bulbs since one started to die. Small projectors are easier to retrofit since they dont need as big of a hole or need as big of a housing to fit them in :)
  12. Lots of daily drivers are illegal - just that they havent been defected. You'll need to speak to your local RTA and ask them. And how is it that you are on standard height but stills scrap? I'm on coilovers and I dont scrap much...

    Lap top

There are a few MSI ones seemed to be very good value! Will you ever use this laptop for games since they have very nicely specc'ed out laptop that doesnt cost arm. In terms of build quality, you can't go past Asus though - 2 year global warranty too. :) My one is 3 years old and hasnt had a single problem, still plays current games too! However they do have a small premium in terms of price for the quality.
  14. umm are there ever any coolant under the car after its been sitting there running or overnight. Thats a lot of coolant. I dont think I needed to top my coolant for like 2 years!
  15. I dont think you made it very clear Adam. Can you repeat it and bold the important bits? :P haha!
  16. It will all come down to how good are the pioneers speakers that you have. a sound system is like electrical wiring, it will only perform to best of what the weakest link can do. Many people have put ambient tweeters near the dash but they aren't turned up or anything like that (set up right, you may not even hear them unless you are listening for them). It is only there to raise the sound stage up.
  17. Behind the headlights is actually a very good place to suck air from as the air there is usually fairly cool, and something about higher pressure there. Read that in an article somewhere lol.
  18. Yes but shorter straws allows you to not use as much force to suck up the coke :P You may get better response aka rev out slightly easier because of this. Note: "slightly" The sound is definitely louder since the "noise suppressing" part of the intake is removed.
  19. Do the sway bar bushings yourself! All it is, is a few bolts that needs to be undone! Mind you some of those might be rusted on and may need quite a bit of cursing and a long bar.

    camber kit

Negative camber is good for turning corners You can adjust camber a little bit with the 2 king pin bolts (where the brakes at bolted onto the struts. Loosen them and there is a few degrees that you can play with it. Push the top in more and you'll get -ve or let it hang down and you get +ve camber. From personal experience, I found that to make the tyres wear our evenly, it needs about -0.5-1o camber due to our roads.
  21. The tyres arent the quietest, but I found them a quieter than the nankangs that I had before. But the Adrenalines from B'stones that i have now is quieter still.
  22. I'm definitely interested! Hopefully it'll be on one of my days off :)
  23. I know for a fact that you can still get the GTP front lip. I have a spare one sitting in the garage that I bought a month or so ago off my contact in Toyota parts. Just be prepared to pay 400+ for it though. I cant find my receipt at the moment so wont be able to give you the part number. But he did say there is still a few left. I didnt ask him about the other parts but I'm going to assume there are still available too since its only the front that everyone smashes.
