  1. Hidden supercharger!!! :P
  2. I'd definitely recommend the Falkens FK452. They give an incredible amount of grip in both wet and dry for its cost, but you'll need to bed them in properly before you fly around corners. Their wear is very good too. You can either get the 235/40/18 for the lower profile/wider, or the 225/45/18 for the higher profile but slightly narrower - more comfy. These tyres are about $300 range.

Wrong place to post this mate. Look further down in the forum...
  4. and dont go find one in the wreckers either. Its one of those parts where you'd want to pay top $$ for as it can ultimately save your life!
  5. While we are here sweltering in the heat :( !!!
  6. I still stand by my custom Y pipe as a first exhaust upgrade as the stock one IS very restrictive. No point really expanding everything else if the part after the headers are going to hold you up...
  7. Custom y pipe! The only major known flow problem with the exhaust system. And you can net quite a few hp (some says up to 30hp) if it is designed properly for less then $400-500. (I paid 220 and it wasnt even mates rates)
  8. I got quoted $36 from motorama 4x4xmore on beaudesert road near morooka. The parts person just told me to go to the service department to get a quote for the install, and the guy there just went and said. Bring the car round and I'll do it for you for free. :) This was about 4months ago though.
  9. I'd definitely go 18s. I still think 17s look small especially on the gen5s with the higher shoulder.
  10. lol umm can you really expect good tyres for that amount of money? :P And i have never heard of them before. Probably some cheapy korean
  11. Umm 800 including the new tyres? Coz thats pretty good if it is. Cheapy Nankangs are close to 800 new. And also depends on gutter rash on yours
  12. Its in the manual :) I dont have it on me atm but if you need i'll type it out to you tomorrow.
  13. Yellow top is a deep cycle battery where it holds its charge for ages and you can run you car off it for ages. The Red top is more like a capacitor where it releases its charge a lot faster but wont last as long with the car off. I'd get the Yellow top as a matter of fact I have one, and its still going good after 5 years :)
  14. I have to say I like the look of these! Would look good on an Aurion :) A Silver TRD one :P
  15. also knows how to dismantle your gen3 to bare minimum and reinstall everything better than it originally was too
  16. Its harder to sell plates thta you have to pay an annual fee as compared to outright though!
  17. $2295 is for prestige plate where you can choose what ever combination of letters/numbers and that is for life. That is the price you have to pay the company that does the plates, not off another person. It comes with a proper plate holder and protector, not just a flimsy piece of metal. People buy and sell, make money on these type of plates all the time. I got a set too and I say its worth it since it is yours forever. Was going to buy the limited edition 7 letter ones for 3.3k but someone took my combination!!! Or You can get the cheaper versions for like $500 once off payment.
  18. The most restrictive part of the exhaust system in the 1MZ engines is the Y-Pipe, where the front bank meets with the rear. Replacing this can net you quite a bit of power (actually noticably) if done right. And its not expensive!
  19. lol first person to notice/comment on the fuel guage :P And yes Adam, my camry has a lot more whining to do to be like King's car. :P
  20. I got a mechanic to come to my place and check out the car (since I cant drive it). He said that its the spark plugs that are causing the car not to turn on. My question is, since I was driving when the car turned off does it seem right to be the spark plugs? Arent spark plugs used to start a car and while the car is running the spark plugs arent really being used? No! Spark plugs are used to create the spark to burn the fuel so it goes off very very often. But how does it all die at the same time ??!?
  21. If it is the map, shouldn't it start and then stall like straight away again. I'm just thinking if it is similar to the gen4s, because i've accidentally forgot to plug it back into the intake once and the car started for a second and then stall each time until it was plugged back in. And i think they had AFMs the gen2 and 3s. So I'm assuming it doesnt crank since its making no sounds when you try to start it.
  22. Here is a little vid of my car doing 0-100 in 7.1s. This is with a boot full of car audio on a very slight uphill on an onramp :) I'm sure you'll be able to guess what the major mod is lol Enjoy
  23. Mine run was on a very slight uphill since it was part of the onramp to the highway. :(
  24. But a stock 5sfe makes 94kw at the engine. A 3vzfe puts out 136kw. A 1mzfe makes 141kw at the engine. 40-50kw extra with just heads is going to be hard! Unfortunately most guys that have done the turbo'ed the camry 4 banger actually swapped to the 3s heads. Here is some info for you if the op is actually serious about a turbo upgrade. http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=182016 Shows exactly who is running what.
