that alone sounds sweet 5sge 1 of a kind im sure it will handle boost ok just dont try and make it rev 2.4l with a turbo should make good power at lower rpm anyway if you tune it and have a rev limit setup for no more then 6000rpm and 10psi boost you should be ok i reacon as long as you have rebuilt the bottom end and if you do some mods to the bottom end like rods, pistons, mains & bigend bolts etc i think 1.5 bar (20+psi) should be achievable but i still wouldnt rev it over 6000rpm Out of curiousity, you're not joking right. From what I have read, a turbo'ed stock 5sfe should pull only slightly more than what a stock v6 does if you want reliability. Hence why a lot of people in the states recommend dropping a v6 in it and then working on from there.

They are a gimmick dont buy them! An extra restriction in the intake usually means less power. [edit] The "sportivo" exhaust from toyota can give an extra 4 kw :P but I dont think its noticable.

If you tune it right, they'll run fine with heaps of power. I've had my stock speakers ran at 80w rms each even though the speakers were only 25w rated. They were fine and everyone didnt think that the stock speakers were still there.

If you want more power, i'd change it to a 1mz. However saying that, Toyota will not do this.

Yeah I'd get a nice head unit for the extra controls. But it doesnt have to be the top of the range stuff. You can get middle of the range stuff and it'll still be good enough. Headunit is actually not a hugely important part of the system. Just make sure you spend the right proportion to each aspect of the system - speakers being most important. And with a h/u upgrade, your factory speakers will actually sound better as they will have more power to play with.

Glad I was a help :) Mine weren't tuned to have the same length as it would have taken a whole lot more time to make and use up more space. But it does have a proper Y collector pipe where the 2 banks meet up. I think i actually works better now with my current go fast bits.

I'm pretty sure it isnt illegal not to have a spare tyre. As a matter of fact a lot of cars dont have them from factory and just give you a spare tyre in a can thing. However if you have a spare tyre, it needs to have legal tread or it'll become defectable.

Believe it or not ask your local Toyota Parts the price on the TRD Aurion 19s I was told $250 a piece Really?? The 18in Camry/Aurion Kappa's (same as TRD USA rims) are like 400-450 each! Unless its on special or they are clearing them out, it'll be hard to get those 19s for 250. But if you can then get them coz that is CHEAP!

Just run it through that big gromit where the engine loom goes into. I've got my 0 gauge running through there. If you take off the plastic bit under the glove box and poke your head underneath, with a torch, you'll be able to see exactly where it comes out. You dont even need to take the glove box out.

I might take the 14k just to be opposite of you Shannon ahaha. This is because there isnt anyway you'd spend 14k on the car in a year! 3 years = 42k + residue value of your camry! you'd probably still be ahead if you used the money to buy a corolla for $25k (better than a tiida) for work since servicing is like $130 for the first 6 services. And that car would still be worth something after 3 years :) Unless of course your work involves driving interstate and stuff because even if you need to drive 200km a day = roughly $20/d = $100 a week = $5200 a year if you work without holidays which still leaves 9k for maintainence, upgrades and turbos a year :P This is all taking without consideration of FBT tho.

Mobil, BP or at the very least Shell Premium 98. Caltex 98 for some unknown reason makes my car knock and stutter so I have to stay clear of it. This happened twice from 2 different caltex stations. :( . 93 octane = kaboom for me lol

If you are lucky enough to find it, you can get the Sportivo "sports" exhaust (not the standard one on the gen5s but the optioned one). They have a nice growl to it as well as being quiet when you need it. I have one on my gen4 and i know of someone who has it on the gen3.

^^ Only need that if the op is going to be running his stereo with the car off for an extended amount of time. An optima yellow top can run a 1200w rms system in excess of a few hours and still start the car easily. I've done 4 hours at moderate volume on a 1400w rms system and it still started fine.

Just get a single good battery. I'm usually against using 2 batteries unless you are actually going to use your system with your car off all the time or if you have a 4wd. It puts more stress on the charging system. A single good battery is more than enough for your system. You've only got a monoblock amp which in the first place would most probably be a class d amp and thus have very high efficiency anyway. I'm running 3 big Trutech's which are class a/b's and only using a single optima. It runs well and can be used with the car on for long enough.

You have a turbo hidden under the hood! Or you have a high flow filter?

When you take the glove box out you'll see the other end of the gromet which will make it an easy job.

How did you manage 6 tickets?!?! All in the same spot? I know there was a rule that states you cant have consecutive speed cameras within a certain distance if it isnt.

If it is the same as the v6s, it pretty much just holds the gears longer.
