  1. And I have seen it's little brother the exige 2 days in a row. Mick would love the colour as it is matt black with the number plate is SCURA 1. It's a nice car!
  2. Holy *****! Is your accelerator an on/off switch? There is definitely something wrong there and it's been happening for 6 months? Does the car still feels normal when driven, eg powerwise, idling wise?
  3. Changed the oil, filter, rotated the wheels, all the fun stuff lol!
  4. The installdr diagram is correct as I have used it multiple times. Print it out and have it in front of you when you are trying to figure out the wires. REMEMBER it is describing the male side of the plug. I dont know how you managed to wire it so far but I dont think you should be doing this yourself!! But please get someone who has somewhat of an inkling to show you what is what first before something bad happens.
  5. Why not just go to supercheap and get an adapter harness hence saving the need to cut or work out what wire means what. Should I be slightly worried that you dont know what ACC mean ? http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Toyota-Wiring.asp This is also a better site to tell you exactly what each wire does.
  6. New tyres are ordered... Wont be installed till friday week sigh!

  7. 8in wide wheels WILL cause scrubbing. Depending on the offset you will either need spacer to stop them hitting your struts or you will need to roll you rear guards.
  8. Do you have the service book? Has the car been serviced at the 120k mark? Replace brake fluid + the 127,500 stuff/ Next service 127,500 (Minor service) Extremely easy to do youself! Replace engine oil and filter, Inspect air filter, brake pads/discs, brake pipes/hoses, steering wheel linkages, drive shaft boots, ball joints and dust covers Tighten drive shaft bolts. 135k Andother fairly easy one to do too. Replace engine oil and filter, Replace engine coolant Replace air filter Tighten Drive shaft bolts Inspect everything listed above and brake clutch fluid, power steering fluid, battery, drive blets, transmission fluid, suspension and parking brakes Replace transmission fluid for sever operating conditions 142,500 - same as 127,500 150k - biggest thing would be the timing belt. Probably not the most fun job :)
  9. OMG i got excited for a second :P Yup I should be there after work
  10. Fulcrum does superpro bushings.
  11. lol @ digging up a old thread With 17in wheels, depending on the width you'll want 225 45 17s.
  12. Mmm weather is good for washing the car! Should I or shouldnt I

      Seby123

i did, so you should do the same!

  13. If we organise something tomorrow, I'm up for something. Need to find some gum boots tho lol. Guess it'll be a bit easier/ cheerful (not really the word that i am looking for but i can think of any other suitable) working with a group of mates. BTW is there any TOCAU people that anyone knows of that would need our help or live in the affected areas?
  14. Handling >>>>>> Ride quality Andrew!!! You should know that!
  15. I had it done quite a while ago so it is a little hard to remember the difference it made without dyno sheets. I do remember it being better up top in the rev ranged.
  16. ^^ A hub cap? Steelies? Always thought that if you had big wheels, you'd want to show off the brakes and not hide them. Plus it'll be better in terms of cooling too.
  17. Stock 1mz-fe Y-pipe My Y-pipe but on a Gen4 (which is pretty what the gen5 is with different body work). ps: It may be up for grabs soon if everything plans out
  18. Why does USPS have a STUPID 42in length limit on parcels?! That is only 1m!

  19. Or you could just go to toyota and ask for the Denso's. Could even end up cheaper.

try a heavy duty steam cleaning of carpet :)

    2. DJKOR

      DJKOR

Steam cleaning is only really effective if the contaminants have not gone through the carpet into the felt or whatever may be underneath them.

  23. Hmm.. i didn't hahahah.. where did u saw me?? At ANZ stadium in the morning. You were turning onto mains inbound and I was on kessels rd at the lights going up hill.
  24. Pull it out the top, leave the GB attached IMO. make sure you disconnect the loom inside the cabin and pull it back thru the firewall... and be sure to disconnect all of the gearbox linkages, hoses, etc. Once you have all the hoses/wires/linkages disconnected from the body, undo the four engine mounts (ie take the bolt in the centre out) but make sure you completely remove the gearbox one and you should be able to just pull it out the top, but be sure to pull it out on an angle with the front of the motor up highest. Should be a piece of piss NOTE: this is the method i have used with all fwd 4cyl toyotas i've ever worked on, the camry's engine bay looks very similar to the celica one, process should be pretty similar. Yup leave the box connected to the engine and take it out as one. Thats how they did it the 2 times when we had to do it.
