To get a SR20DE to make 100kwatw... you would have to have Tomei Poncams, Extractors, Full exhaust, Cold air intake, Adjusted igniton timing. Bingo, that all sounds about right. The cams ring a bell. He's looking to have a fair bit of fun with it. It's not running the best at the moment and he's keen to perfect it more.

It seems NZ is the place to be for SR20VE's. I here there's many more of them there. An SR20DE with light mods would get 100kw atw with a decent tune I'm thinking? My friend is hoping for that once he's done a few things (cams for one). It seems to me that the VE is a dead ringer for the 2zz in terms of power and characteristics. I'd be supercharging one that's for sure. I have a dyno day coming up with the Pulsar people here, so I shall post up some findings in a seperate thread. The question is, will I have the 2.5 inch catback on by then? Doubtful, but oh well, I already know what I'll make lol.

Nelson probably wouldn't even do this on here dude. When you make threads like these you can only expect one outcome from it all: Being flamed. There's certain ways to conduct yourself on here. Having hung around the den of wolves (Canberra Pulsar Group), I've found that Pulsars aren't to be taken lightly at times. The SR20DE's shouldn't be looked down on. For an old motor they're still holding their own, and aren't a great deal slower than a 2zzge when 1/4 mile times and bang for buck mods are taken into consideration. The one strength I can see us having is in the area of F/I believe it or not. An SR20DET conversion in an N14 / 15 would go down nicely, but you'd be forever going through gearboxes. I think the strength of the 6 speed in ours would cope nicely with a supercharger or turbo (xoom?).

Nope. Nope. Nope. Buy Lovells / Pedders / Kings / Whiteline / Tein etc. They come in various drops, the most common being 35mm or 50mm (if you want your car to sit nice and low). Changing the shocks is recommended with a 50mm drop.

Vista is a little too ahead of it's time at the moment methinks. Windows XP has, and will be fine for a while still. The only reason I'll ever consider upgrading to Vista will be for future games (pixelshader).

So far the only decent front bar I've seen for the pre-facelift is part of the Bomex kit (made from ABS plastic as well...mmm flexible). TRDYUS was going to install this kit at a later time I think. He encountered difficulties. You'll be surpised at how well the stock front looks with the open mouth grille and eyelids though.

The Brothers Taylor and Father should know yes lol. They've had extensive experience in seeing sides of our cars we've never seen.
