  1. Just been in a car accident last night, hip is a bit sore (only one with I hope minor injuries). Happened on the M4 at around 90km/h just before coleman st exit, the guy that caused the accident must of been doing about 110-120km/h. Three cars involved, unfortunately I was not the one hit directly but I got caught up in the accident. The other two cars had to be towed away, one lost their front left hub/wheel assembly. Toyota FTW!! It pulled up quicker then the other two and in a straight line too!! Could of been much more uglier given the speeds that we were all travelling at, but fortunately everyone was ok except me. Was merging from lane number four (closest to concrete barrier) to lane three, the magna hit (driver at fault) me, got pushed into the concrete barrier but not too bad I suppose. If anyone is desparete for a fog light cover, you could try looking for it.... Recently the car got scratched on the front bumper and I kept thinking about getting it fixed up.... Drive safely on the road guys, but really I couldn't avoid this accident with the way it happened I was planning to have some work done on the sportivo as well, now I can't.
  2. Maybe its the fact that you were cruising for a while, and the ECU put itself in fuel economy mode?? I thought my car at one stage was losing power when in lift.......but then realised that I didn't push the pedal all the way to the floor
  3. Merry Christmass Guys!! Hope that everyone has a SAFE and HAPPY day! Thai
  4. Merry Christmass everyone............I want a longer holiday break!!
  5. Dealers are a tough cookie, really have to watch what they say, don't take them too literal though...
  6. Car models that do not come standard with power windows on the rear, when requested for, will received aftermarket power windows installed. They look nothing like the models that come standard from the factory.... Ripped off if you ask me....
  7. You will get flamed for this, should do a search before posting new topics mate. But to answer your question, yes its designed to pro long the life of the engine..... No offence, but what the hell are you doing revving it that high when the engine is cold?!?! Please close thread
  8. Toyota Owners Club au.toyotaownersclub.com
  9. Interested definitely, hopefully it will be under $100(preferably around $80) delivered. Overseas dealers tend to bend you over when it comes to "Postage & Handling"...
  10. Well putting 6x9's is a cheap and effective way to get some nice thumping bass without sacrificing much space. What are u planning on putting into the rolla anyway?? It would be nice to know what your future plans would be
  11. You will need to fabricate your own parcel shelf with some MDF and reinforce it with some metal plates or stronger wood that won't bend over time. It also must be very secure when mounted, I would hate to see the outcome of a parcel shelf let loose in an accident or something similiar. Cheers
  12. Head over to Toymods mate, these conversions etc have been done to death. Engine and gearbox together will give you a good price.
  13. Your driving is normal I suppose. Your friend with the jazz seems a bit slow....
  14. Its really hard to define which one works better. In most cases you'll find that the stock filter provides better filtration, although it might be more restrictive. When we say more restrictive, it is not very much at all. If you run a test between a stock filter and aftermarket panel, the difference in the pressure drop between the two would not vary too much.
  15. Where will the final destination be in at la perouse? Will be in the city that night for dinner, so maybe drop by to check out the scene. Cheers
  16. Thats why I'm looking at the graphs today, I only had a small peak yesterday and did some calculations. Need to re check them and then look at the graphs and make sure that I stay in the efficiency range of the graphs. I'm trying to look for a turbo that runs efficient enough at 8psi and maybe give me head room for future increases once the engine decides to fail on me
  17. You can wait on haltech's if you wish but.....................I'm skeptical on those companies and their release dates. Have you checked out the room next to the firewall where you'll be putting your exhaust manifold and turbo?? I looked at my friends yaris engine bay last time........I think S/C is the only way, their is pretty much no room near the firewall I'm now looking at the Garrett GT2871r, same as Xoom's one or the GT2560r. Have to check the efficiency for my application though.
  18. I tidied up my desk since the last photo....much much better
  19. Ok final question this time on this topic. Redrilling 5x114.3?? My understandind is that its the centre hole that bares most of the load when braking, so I guess this shouldn't be a problem as well. I could talk to an engineer but I'll consult you guys first Thanks for all the help guys!! Cheers
  20. GO ANGELO!! We need the story of your buildup soon man!!
  21. Let us speak, its sin to not let the white folks speak!!
  22. So far the research that I have conducted implies that unless you get it engineered its illegal. But thats ok. Just needed some clarification....At least I know that a hub conversion is not absolutely necessary. Cheers
  23. Hi all, To all the people that have done this to mod before, I would just like to know the legalities behind redrilling 5x100 PCD rotors to 4x100PCD. I was in contact with a guy from a DBA stockist and was informed that it is against the law. From my understanding and experience, many people have travelled along this path and appears that there is no problems with it. I'm in NSW btw if state by state laws are different. Cheers
  24. Where is my share of the fund??, wouldn't we all like more funding. lol
  25. If you want more boost, maybe a larger intercooler and run better fuel. IIRC they are quite prone to pinging, so maybe a re tune is in the order. Not exactly the tougest of engines, all they did was slap a turbo on....and on a 7AFE the conrods are so fragile its not funny.
