More info on those CB radios that SCA sell?

Damn just realised I could have made it to this, I was in the city yesterday evening. Who do I PM my number to for info on future fri night meets?

Thing with ebay is, sometimes you can find good stuff on there, sometimes things on there are nothing short of junk. These headers in particular seem to be an obscure brand, so they may or may not have the quality of the well known reputable brands. If you are willing to take the risk of buying these and are not too fussy about replacing them if something goes wrong with them, then its up to you if you want to fork out for them. But if you just want to change the headeers once, go for a reputable brand, and pick the style which suits your application better (4-2-1 or 4-1).

True, but as you say, it's a gamble. Best to avoid the hassle of clearing a defect if possible :) I'd prefer to meet up somewhere to chill/have kebabs, but if people want to hit the prinny afterwards then I'd be up for that depending on my mood.

Not sure if serious... Some TOCAU members have pretty low cars which could make them a target for a defect.

Did the foam actually damage the seat, or just stuck to it, and was able to be cleaned off with no lasting damage to the seat?

Will try to keep the 20th free. Might be able to help with the recon run, will be able to confirm availability closer to the date. I think the recon should be done on the sunday, so we get an idea of traffic and parking, etc. EDIT: Where can I find a decent UHF radio for a reasonable price?

I think a lighter grey would be a good choice, it would contrast the dark colour of the car. But if you feel like being very bold, go red :D

I want to get some seat covers for my corolla, with velour seats. I read somewhere that the typical seat cover with the foam backing can rub on and slowly wear away seats. Has anyone actually experienced this? Plus I'm undecided between actual seat covers, and the throwover seat cover type, I'm interested on hearing your opinions on this matter.

A couple stops on the way would be ideal, it's a long drove so people would probably want to go toilet, stretch legs and grab a snack at some point, plus gives everyone a chance to chit chat about the leg of the cruise just gone past. I think Mid nov would be a good idea, allows more time for planning+recruiting attendees (And I most likely will be busy on the last sunday of october) I am willing to help out with recon runs if the time suits me :)

A very interesting day, nice to see all sorts of cars getting on the rollers. By the way, do dyno's give grossly inflated torque figures? As my rolla's torque figure at the wheels was significantly more than toyota quoted them to have at the flywheel.

Probably too few of us I'm in the far south east, don't mind cruising there with some others if we get to Tottenham early.

How about a cruise somewhere, stop for lunch, or dinner (if the meet is on a sat) then head somewhere for photos/talk crap/ etc? Or give the bowling meet a go again, then head off elsewhere for a meal?
