  1. To sum my thoughts up in one word, awesome! How do you get the led's to shine through the mirror glass? is it one way glass or something like that?
  2. What's the address of the Kebab place? If I'm running really late, I may just head straight there to save time. Otherwise, what time will you be at the go karts place until? I'll watch for a bit if i arrive early enough.
  3. Welcome to my world. I'm always going to the west and the guys can vouch for it (some thought I actually lived in the west ). Don't mind as I get a decent cruise! :D In regards to the go karts event... Go karts have been booked for next FRIDAY 20th April night 7:30pm with kebabs afterwards as per usual. Keeping it a part of the TOCAU family for the time being and certainly have at least 8. 10 would be a perfect number! :) You can come and watch us if you don't want to race. Heaps of off track catching up or meeting new faces at the place or at the kebabs joint! :D Let me know and confirm either here or by sms by Monday 16th Details: - Silhouette Gokarts, 110 Hume Hwy (Sydney Road), Somerton. It's near Hume Hwy and Somerton Rd. - 2 stroker open wheels 100km/h - Group of 8 or more, $80pp for 30mins & $100pp for 40mins - Wear closed shoes & can bring your own helmet as long as it's AS Standards approved Attending: 1. dwee 2. jeffy 3. Mr Levin ZR 4. alister 5. Kenshin? 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. If I can book a friday off work, I might cruise with you to one of these thursday westside meets. As for karts, It's doubtful that I would reach the venue in time, but I would be keen to join afterwards for kebabs.
  4. That's where I went wrong, I thought these used the same gearboxes as the tercels. Seeing as these have a strong gearbox, is there any plans to get more power out of the motor?
  5. No one cares about the AE92 Seca's, it's all about the AE93 seca's.... If I'm not mistaken any xE9x Seca with a 4AGE is an AE93, not an AE92. Very clean example, has it had a respray at some stage? Seeing as you're in Victoria, you should come to the Vic meets, sometimes there are a grey, and white seca in attendance, would be nice to have a red one there, so we have all three of the SX Seca colours there.
  6. Those modded pc cases look epic! Are all of them functional PC's?
  7. Wow you make the MR2's sound bad, it's not hard to pick out a better deathtrap than an MR2. Sounds like you had to replace a lot of parts, and are still going, on the plus side, you will have a half brand new car! How do these handle with the 4wd? less understeery than the fwd ones?
  8. The catch can install looks very tidy, I almost didn't see it. And you haven't heard a noisy thrust bearing unless you heard my old one.
  9. Looks good for what you paid for it. It should clean up well, there's a few nicely modded AE95's going around, should not be too hard for you to join the ranks. If you go GZE/GTE, it would probably be a good idea to convert to FWD, the 4WD gearboxes in these are a bit on the fragile side.
  10. May need to start making these westside treks to the carwash if the eye candy is that good ;).
  11. Are your pads wearing down? Pistons having to push in further pulls more fluid from the reservoir. See if the reservoir has no spillage out the lid, and check around your brake hoses too. Fried your alternator connection while trying to jump start some chicks Delorean DMC-12 (the flux capacitor optioned model)? :P
  12. Black roof looks boss! almost looks as if you have a nice dark tint moonroof there.
  13. Nice Hachiroku! Looks simple and tasteful on the outside, but pop the hood and things start looking serious! :D
  14. My driveway is somewhat steep for a driveway, it has gouge marks where it meets the footpath from one of our cars reversing down it (it's lowered and has a towbar). If you go up it too fast you may scrape. Also, if your car's handbrake is not working very well/needs adjustment, you will know pretty much straight away...
  15. Have you tried the typical automotive department stores (Bursons, Autobarn, Repco, Supercheap etc), or even your local Toyota Dealer? (not all stock parts)
  16. Welcome to TOCAU, hope you enjoy your stay. I take it you're a fan of the Mercury Cougar XR7? Do plenty of online quotes for insurance, it may be classified as a performance car so that would not be cost effective in your case. And be sure to to have both yourself and your father test drive one before you commit to purchasing, you may like how it looks cosmetic wise and its paper stats, but you may find how it drives is not what suits you. Don't rush into anything and do plenty of research.
  17. I've just been reminded that I have a good friend's birthday gathering on this friday, so I won't be able to make this meet :(
  18. Put me down as a maybe, I finally have the corolla running again and would be good to catch up, but if work has other plans I won't be able to make it.
  19. Love the tailpipes, looks tough!
  20. I will probably come to the TCCAV meet, hopefully in my rolla, if not I will get there somehow.
  21. Painting calipers properly takes time, but the end result speaks for itself, looks great! Any plans to lower the corolla?
  22. It sits nicely as it is, though a 10mm more drop can't hurt? :D
  23. Welcome to the club Roger, generally it is cheaper to get a 2nd hand motor, but how long that motor would last is questionable, could be anywhere from 300 to 300,000+km. A reconditioned engine would ensure you have a fresh motor with many years of service, but to be done properly, would easily cost over a grand. Best of luck with getting the coaster back on the road.
  24. Anyone feel like reviving this? Kebab meet somewhere?
