  1. Love the new rear lights, looks lexus spec :)
  2. With the new aftermarket gauges installed, can you still see all of the factory cluster? Doesn't look like it in the photo but I assume your eye level is a bit higher. That area is a good subtle location, dashtop or pillar mount gauges will make everyone want to race you.
  3. Count me out for the ozcelica cruise, My rolla is currently off the road. What's happening with garage cafe? EOMM for march and april sounds good, if things go to plan the rolla will be back on the road by then :D
  4. The Gemini wheels look great after a polish, did you use a drill with a polishing attachment or was it all by hand?
  5. Is the impromptu thing going to be on sat or sun? Can't be out late on sun as I have early starts on mondays. Edit: Private Number's idea for feb's EOMM is good, we haven't all caught up since last November so something laid back and talking oriented is the go I reckon.
  6. What time would Karts start? I'd have issues getting there on time unless its 8pm or later as I work on the other side of the city. If karts is earlier and you do something else after that, I may be able to join in for that.
  7. I'd say bowling, it's more social and allows everyone to chit chat/catch up in between turns. I'm not yet sure if I can make this one though.
  8. Would not mind giving karts a try, but if they go up to 100kmh, seems way too hardcore for a newb like me.
  9. Those horns sound like theyre more suited to a vintage/classic/historic car. Oh well, props for doing something out of the norm. If you hold down the horn button, is the tone consistent? If it is, then it is legal, but if a cop is having a bad day, they could still attempt to defect you for it.
  10. Can't see it being an issue if it clears 100ml, is securely mounted and isn't very distracting to other motorists. There is a number you can call to ask about modifications, I can't remember the number, but it may have something to do with vehicle roadworthiness.
  11. This thing has potential. Are true Jeepneys the long versions of these, which are almost minibuses? There may be identification numbers stamped on the engine block, that would help in identifying what it is.
  12. Gregories seems to be decent for general maintenance, but instructions can be confusing at times. Another avenue to consider is signing up to a forum which better caters for the older corollas, there should be people who can give you detailed information of the tasks you want to do.
  13. Stalactites then coffee then battlegear? Or mix up the order to your liking.
  14. ^he lives in the east side of melb, - he was driving the red holden in the last VIC EoMm, Correction, south east melb :P And yeah it's one of those bright red older commodores.
  15. Nice mitsu, word is the 3.5 V6's go quite hard :D Is a Verada an upper spec magna, as it looks very similar to a Magna. Good choice of mods, especially the very practical ones like the homelink, folding mirrors and the reverse auto mirror tilt. Seeing as the mirror tilt was not a plug and play job, then could the mod be done to any car with power mirrors?
  16. Nice ZR Corolla, you're lucky to have that as a first car!
  17. Now that the festive season is over and its a new month in a new year, perhaps it's time to plan for the next monthly meet :) Would we have enough time to plan for a GOR run, or should we start with something smaller and less planning intensive?
  18. I'd just touch up paint chips and such myself, the car isn't worth getting a professional respray on. The detail is just for my learning purposes. If I was to do the detail on a panel by panel basis, would I be best to start from the top (roof/boot/bonnet) or bottom (front/rear bumper) first?
  19. I'm keen on giving one of my cars a detail in the near future. Since owning it for the past year and a half, I haven't gone any further than giving it a monthly wash using a bucket and a microfiber mitt. It's a red car (non metallic) with minor fade on the boot and roof, with a few swirl marks here and there. I will definitely give the car a going over with a claybar, would i need to use any cutting compounds and polishes in the same session, or can I leave that for another time. And seeing as the car has a few deep scratches and paint chips that I want to repair, is that best one before or after doing a cut & polish?
  20. Looking good, you taking this up to the TCCAV meet in jan?
  21. Nice stuff dude, if you learn to use photoshop or flash or something, you could turn those into vector art and make sigs for people.
  22. We could probably make a booking at Stalactites for this coming friday (6th) or the one after (13th). As long as some people are definitely attending.
  23. Probably too late to make a restaurant booking if we are doing a meet tomorrow. How about meet at a kebab joint? Something with ample parking and not too far out of the way, Kebab Box in campbellfield is an idea, any others?
  24. Schedule is looking better this week, so should be down. Are we going with the traditional friday, or thurs due to the upcoming new years festivities?
