  1. entirely up to you mate... drive a few and see how they feel.
  2. pics are on the Toymods thread, I don't think anyone here took any. I was photoed out after Toyotafest. I took a couple at North Head but nothing exciting. Was an awesome day, sunscreen FTW!!!! :D Royal National Park on the way home though was awesome...
  3. Since you want to do things properly, I would recommend the Quaife LSD then as it comes with a lifetime warranty no matter how it is used and abused (even on the racetrack), though you do pay more for it because of this.
  4. depends what you want. Quaife and the MR2 ones are helical (there is also the OBX one which is a knockoff of the Quaife one at 1/3 the cost) KAAZ, TRD and Cusco are all clutch type ones, of those the KAAZ has the largest clutch pad face area, though the clutch pads require servicing from time to time where as with a helical LSD, there is no servicing unless they fail completely which is rare.
  5. ? ey... nope, I editted adding the have fun bit :)
  6. Toyota (factory option for MR2), TRD, KAAZ, Quaife doun't know if Cusco do one... the probably do. get googling ;) ps, the search engine in the forum does not pick up words of 3 letters or less, it's common to most forum search engines so people don't search the or and, etc. but most importantly... have fun Cheers Have a nice day Dylan.
  7. if you want an LSD, the factory unit used in the ZZW-30 MRS is a cheaper option.
  8. Haha thats a canberra car "NATAS" was owned by some one, then another guy whose name is bryan. The pictures are on the forums here somewhere. The 3 engine changes were by the previous owner. I always thought it sounded dodgy but bryan insists that its not. I think it might be a one off cos i haven't heard of any others. I wouldn't worry too much. He also refuses to answer any inquiries into what mods have been made to the car, in particular, possible dodgy wiring from a stereo install causing the fire. I'm with Micky in that the history of this particular car always seemed dodgy.
  9. MRS is 4x100 as well with 55mm centre bore, so should be a perfect fit if they use the same calipers as the 1ZZ-FE corollas. the SW-20 was the only MR2 model the have 5 stud hubs.
  10. spray some glade or Glen 20 (these destroy oders instead of covering them) down the airvents on the OUTSIDE of the car at teh top of the firewall. It will pass through the entire system that way.
  11. most pads these days are graphite based anyway because of the banning of asbestos are you sure that's not what you mean? carbon fibre though... why?
  12. unless of course you plan on using the japanese all wheel drive platform and swapping the motor for a 3S-GE BEAMS ;) in that case... talk to Mr Bates.
  13. waiting at a traffic light is strictly speaking not termed as 'stationary' in the eyes of the law ;)
  14. so when are you taking me fishing Mark?
  15. you can inspect the pads yourself visually shine a light into the caliper just by the disc face and you can see how much meat is left on the front pad (should be similar on the rear one) if it's down to just a couple of mms, change them. It could also be dust between the pad and the disc face causing the grinding too, which will require the pad face to be cleaned.
  16. seconded... I am certain that this would be his daily driver on his way to or from the station. and as I keep saying to you... If you're not doing anything wrong, what do you need to worry about? Thirdly... WTF are you doing using a mobile phone camera while you are driving along next to a cop?
  17. iffster.. r u serious... i aint told to.. wat if i dun show up in 24hrs? damn..im in a rush to school again... 1 tip for you.... get off the freaking internet and get to school already!!!!
  18. nope, they haven't had that for several years.
