it's more a fact of, if you measure the performance of a CES exhaust for a 1ZZ-FE (worth $1000) vs a second hand factory exhaust off a corolla sportivo ($150) and get negligible difference, which one would you pick?

The very reason I no longer own a Sportivo... I couldn't bare if anything were to happen to it out on the track and as I got more serious I couldn't take the risk.

consistent 1:22-1:23 was the order of the day. The car lacks big time down the straight, but corners and brakes incredibly well :D

also saw something else pretty interesting out at Wakefield Park on Friday... new WRX, I don't they are even released in Australia yet... ;)

does the escort ever drive anywhere? there seems to be a lot of talk about it and not much action.

even with the scissor jack, I'd still be using the jack stands, I've seen scissor jacks buckle too, does that make them crap?

FFS Marcus you are full of crap sometimes... I've been using the 'cheap' trolly jack for 3 years and never had a problem. I use it to lift and lower the car, that is all. I ALWAYS use stands to hold the car up and not the jack. There is nothing wrong with the cheaper floor jacks if you use them properly.

remember that the front spoiler is only for a pre-facelift. looks like an awesome deal though, the the complete 'sportivo' option kit. -

I agree with the Yaris idea. The hot hatch market is swolen with the 3MPS, Golf GTi, Focus RX5, Astra Turbo and the Civic type R. Why not go for the smaller segment where there are the Polo Gti and Citroen C2 as far as I can tell as the only others in that market.

The collector end is hard to tidy up because of the vein in the middle of it.

I found a 2L milk bottle to work better as the mouth of the bottle and that of the radiator filler are about the same. But yeah, jack the car up to the radiator filler is the highest point of the cooling system. Does the heater have a bleed line? I never did this with the Sportivo, but the MR2 has 3 bleed points because they are a PITA to get all the air out of without using them.

every 6-12 months should be fine for the retune not a bad reading though George... but it's still not over 119.8.... or 120 for that matter :P
