    Weight Loss

bah metabolism has little to do with it (it does pay some part, not not the bulk) the most important rule for weight loss is... Energy in < Energy used that way your body will be forced to burn fat reserves for you to survive, and you will lose weight.

    Camry V6 in MR2

there are Spyders in the US that people have dropped V6s into with no problems.
  4. watch this space ;) things are starting in the modding dept soon. first on the list is to renew the suspension and steering, starting with a complete set of replacement bushes, tie rods, ball joints and swaybars. I may even get the car put on a chassis jig to make sure it's perfectly straight before I start anything. I'll soon have the choice to run on 14, 15 or 16 inches depending on my mood ;) :P I'm still researching the best way to deal with coilovers and brakes but I have a few ideas to try. Early in the new year I'll look to buy a ZZT-231 celica wreck and that's when the real fun will start :D
  5. This is one of the key inspiration points for my car :D I'm aiming to run it in '09 (the MR2 will be 20 years old then ) I wanted to run the sportivo, but the financial liability on it was too great and I never got the car anywhere near a level I would have been happy entering it as.
  6. like I said... I know it's going to a good home where it will be well loved :D
  7. lol I'm more than happy that I've found someone that accepts the fact that I have a hobby that involves pulling cars to bits.
  8. most of the best parts you will need to buy from overseas and have shipped in, such as CAI, cams, ECU etc. Exhaust... well, I love the CES item, either make a trip up there (the Qld boys may even be able to help out with accommodation if you want to drive up so Trev can fit it). As far as headers go, just get the stock items port matched and ceramic coated as they are a good piece of kit anyway. the best cams to get are the piper stage 2 cams... google will help you here. ECU, many people are getting the Apexi Power FC because you can pick it up for $800-$900 delivered depending on the exchange rate. Personally I've found http://www.nengun.com to give the best prices for those. I'd personally put off buying from OS right now as the AUS$ is currently in recovery after the hit it too a could of weeks ago. It should be more stable soon though. other then that there's not much gain to be made from other bolt-ons I personally think the best gain I ever made was from fitting coilover suspension... search the forum for discussions on that though.
  9. Bill and Kyle's brother will never catch the Americans, on the Dyno at least... American dynos are fitted with fairy dust that magically makes them read higher. The track is where it's at ;)
  10. Yep Meridian are out to squeeze every last cent out of you which is why I said, 'I don't know about cheap... but...' All the stuff they sell can be acquired from other sources for cheaper anyway ;)
  11. I echo this... and add that the 0.000001% that aren't the same have been modified in same way by the owner...
  12. :D thanks people :) that cake looks awesome Mark/Mish and I dare say I'd eat it as suggested by Dave too :D :D :D

    Camry V6 in MR2

it's the same guy.... <_< it also has a BHG so it is quite sick right now :P
  14. well, here's where my part of it's journey ends... The car has gone to a good home, and I hope he treats her well
  15. you can get it down near 1100kgs by taking out the trim you don't need and the back seats.

    GPS units

Nokia 6110 Navigator ;) D!ck Smiths have Tom Toms for $399 with '07 map upgrades included.
  17. yeah... you gotta look out for the quiet ones the most.
  18. lol @ Dave's picture... but why didn't you choose this one... Happy Birthday Mark :D
  19. I think Sunny said it was a C-West copy, made by Jetspeed
  20. Do a search on Meridian Motorsports. I don't know about cheap, but they certainly have a lot of gear for the 2ZZ-GE. That's a great place to start to learn what is available, as it Monkey Wrench Racing in the USA. Most of the parts the 2 companies sell are the same, but it gives you a good indication of what is available and what to search for.
  21. agreed... and at ~$70 a damn sight cheaper too ;)
