  1. Hope you like CVs and Gearboxes...
  2. Dude... he's in Italy, the rules may be different with regards to catchers.
  3. any brake and clutch place will be able to get them in for you. Or you can go through Repco, Supercheap, Autobarn etc...
  4. Most times I go through about 1-2 tanks a month :P My car only really gets driven when it goes up to Sydney and back, or down to the shops. I walk to uni most days.
  5. wasn't that what I said originally
  6. VB is very good for batter, but I like to use Cooper's Pale Ale :D
  7. 1. yes 2. about 9 hours 3. no, I wanted to actually get home safely 4. no :P
  8. Just make sure they are 'overnight parts from Japan' next time :P
  9. Well, as a few of you know I've now aquired myself an MR2 AW11. It's pretty much a bog standard, 1989 NA variant, Australian Delivered. It was originally red but has been resprayed black (the Toyota factory colour) So far, I've got some Toyo Proxes 4 (205/40r16) on order to chuck on the light weight track rims (gold 5 spoke) from my corolla for a little bit of fun out at Wakefield Park. I looked at Falken RT615s but I need to get them in 205/50r15 to fit which would require me buying new rims as well, which I didn't consider an urgency right now. When I drove the car back from Melbourne it had a little bit of steering wobble from 80-100km/h. Because of a flat I picked up near Goulburn I needed to replace that tyre and now the wobble is gone. I have been amazed how nice the ride is for such an old car (compared to the corolla). It's obviously a little soft suspension wise just from it's age but it turns in so well and is extremely nimble I can see I will definitely have some fun with this, even more if the future plans all come to fruition Here's some happy snaps :)
  10. just use any household carpet cleaner and give it a good vacuum
  11. step 1 - buy a deep frier and lots of oil step 2 - get a slicer that chips potatos step 3 - make a batter using beer instead of water to add more air to make the give the batter a light crispy taste step 4 - take 1 chip at a time and dip in the batter, shake off excess, then drop in hot oil step 5 - cook for a couple of minutes step 6 - turn out onto paper towel to absorb excess oil step 7 - ENJOY :D
  12. will be sad to see her go Bren :( ps you get up WAY too early :P
  13. If you have someone you trust to leave the car with you can import it as a private import in another 9 months time.
  14. maybe a silver sticker in the door jam is not to a 50 yo ladies taste and she removed it... it's not that hard to do.
  15. rears won't fit Corey...
  16. yep, it's not that expensive to visit the track to get the urge cured... seriously guys be sensible on the streets. I know we at times cruise on rather dangerous roads, lets just be careful out there. Think of other road users too, there is often oncoming traffic on many of these roads too.
  17. given the last comment, I recommend just getting the OEM or equivalent replacement from DBA or RDA. Under typical street conditions you will never need the benefits of slotted discs which is more for high temp, track conditions.
  18. Have you ever driven a FWD car with heaps of turbo lag? The torque steer is more dramatic and can become wildly uncontrollable if not treated with respect. Linear power delivery like Bill's setup is much more user friendly as you can counter the torque steer from the get go.
  19. I made it myself exept for the ecu install (haltek interceptor) standerd internals with larger injectors. ACT FTW RO11AS you mentioned a company producing turbo kits for our model Corolla... boy, when that day comes(if at all)...wow awesome P.S. Dylan after driving a car with a powerband that only gets interesting after 6000RPM for so long I didn't think turbo lag would be the biggest issue for you  Oh and stitty came to visit today :) Jimmy, it's not so much the lack of power below that's the issue, it's the rush at which it comes on once boost hits that makes it a handful, no comparison to lift rush at all which is actually quite linear in it's delivery.
  20. no, that one is crap.
  21. I see they decided on the remote mount... hello turbo lag :P Bill's car still wins :P Looks nice though, but Bren, wasn't Kyle's car Black? Must be his brother's.
