  1. I had no idea that cruise control was made for manual cars. How does it shift up and down automatically when the rpms drop or rise ?
  2. The real satisfaction is when you master landing in LIFT from 1st to 2nd gear. I wouldn't do it too often though if you value the longevity of your clutch.
  3. Just got an email back from Genie, and they pretty much said they have no plans on making headers for the 2zzge.
  4. Yeah, you can get the xede shift light from chiptorque by calling them up as no one else stocks these anymore. I have the bright blue led one - but have just been too lazy to install it.
  5. I wished they'd make some for the 2zzge. I can't afford to have my car off the road for a port & polish exchange job. :(
  6. I think Ignition x has closed shop. I drive past there every day after work, and looks like the shop is gone, unless they're renovating...
  7. I say WTF for ! I'd be more interested in knowing what my car actually does on its own. Octane boost I can understand and got no problem with because for the most part you're just optimising the fuel in use. But Ice around the intake is just too funny :D I think it's because it's a competition and there are prizes/trophies to be won. Hence, do as much as possible to get the highest reading.
  8. I'm with TPG with 30 Gig download limit. As rollamods said they are good until you need to call their technical support. Be prepared to wait like 30-40 minutes for their technical support team to answer your phone outside of business hours which I think is outsourced to india.
  9. Did you buy the 2.5 inch or 2.25 inch inlet one ? most of us have 2.25 cheers i bought the 2.5inch. cuz i got it second hand. Thanks for the info. Did you change the pipe from the cat back to 2.5 inches ?
  10. Did you buy the 2.5 inch or 2.25 inch inlet one ?
  11. Look for another hobby to spend your money on. Think of the car as transport from a to b. Get a high maintenance girl friend.
  12. Hahahaha.. You'd be surprised how many people don't wash their hands after visiting the urinals or toilets in the office where I work and I believe it happens everywhere. I try to grab the lower part of the door handle to exit the mens, but I guess everyone else does the same as well :( . There is one person at my work that spends 5 minutes doing a clinical hand wash and will get a towel and fold it around the door handle to open the doors just so he doesn't touch the door handle. Folding saves paper as you can re-fold and re-use. Scrunching can only be use once.
  13. Give it a few weeks, your filter won't be as noisy. :D
  14. Yesterday on Lane cove road 11.00pm, white facelift 1zzfe p plater with chromies overtakes me. Number plate ***-168. Today 1.30pm Newtown, white pre-facelift sportivo with windscreen trd sticker. Today 2.00pm Silver pre-facelift sedan with sports grill and aftermarket front bar parked behind UTS broadway campus. I think it looks like grimlock's supercharged rolla.
  15. Do you guys master double clutching and heel toe before going to wakefield to get those lap times ?
  16. Today, I saw one of those '84 nissan exa turbos come screaming down my street doing about roughly 80k's in a 50k zone. His bonnet some how unclips it self and lifts up and blocks his entire windscreen. He limped to the side of the road after that. He was lucky no one was coming in the opposite direction.
  17. I recall reading somewhere on matrixowners that it's been software edited to change the colour. I guess if you really want this sort of stuff you could always buy an xede shift led in bright blue and mount it up in the instrument cluster.
  18. Does anyone know if a 4agze corolla twinky can keep up with a 2zzge corolla sportivo ? Are they fairly reliable and are parts easy to get a hold of ? I'm thinking of getting one as a hobby/weekend cruise with the boys car as reasonably good condition ones are going for around 5K. Whereas the corolla sportivo needs to stay comfortable for the mrs.
  19. Has anyone ordered the Exedy OEM clutch KTY-18 from Ebay ? Do all the parts fit ? It works out to be about $255 aud shipped to Sydney.
  20. Cable tieing the tube to the wires is something I wouldn't do... but I guess it's personal preference.
  21. Thanks for the heads up ! I've been waiting for a special on this and have just picked up two of them. :D
  22. Part No. is WACF 0014 for a 2003 Corolla Sportivo and the wesfil filter fits like a glove. I'm not sure if 1zz have a different sized filter tray because in their wesfil product catalog it had a different part no. WACF 0015. Best to take your tray in to the store and see for yourself.
  23. Auto One sell WesFil cabin air filters for $30.
  24. Another old member lost... Seems like a growing trend that a lot of people get the corolla, personalise it with modifications and then sell it within 2-3 years. I was also thinking the same, but to upgrade to an mps3 would leave me 25k out of pocket. :(
  25. My mate drove my car through some twisty roads at high speed and said that the stock shocks are a bit soft for lowered springs. Believe me, this guy can drive and double clutch, and I nearly shiat myself sitting in the passenger seat.
