  1. Spotted silver face lift stivo on the gateway mwy at 4.25pm heading south near the rifle range.
  2. Her name is on the rego papers and she drives it to work so yeah she claims it as her car. But I do everything else on it.....and things she doesn't know about(hey Northy!!)
  3. What are we going to Ipswich to be hassled by "locals" in their Falcons, Commondores, Germini's and the like??? MMMM..... think I'd rather use my fuel on something a little more challenging ;)
  4. I've been frequenting such places as Milton for just over a decade now too.. :P You know the funny thing is there seems to be same idiots(or now prolly their sons LOL) there as well!!! There isn't too much that goes on at these places that i haven't seen either ;)
  5. Love to come but it's a tad bit of a drive from Brissy too. ;)
  6. Spotted MAP81 on the gateway mwy heading south at 4.50pm near the truck stop. Spotted a red pre face lift stivo on Sandgate rd at about 5.15pm
  7. Welcome to the forum Bobjones and I hope you enjoy your stay. You are obviously from Queensland by mentioning QR!!! (correct me if I'm wrong) Come out on a Thursday night and say g'day to some of the fellow Qld members(see club meets and events -milton and sunnybank maccas thread) Cheers Silvabullit :D
  8. If there is any Qld'ers (or from anywhere else) who would like stickers big or small then PM me as i don't need to order with set quantities or sizes. Colours are red, white and silver. Small sizes are 300mm long, large are 560mm long. Height is proportionate to the length.
  9. Who's out this week?? Everybody get scared off by Northy's PFC last week??? :P Be nice to see a few of the "not so regular" faces out and about. ;) BTW just noticed how many views this thread has had...10 000!!!
  10. To be honest I wasn't fussed over headlight protectors as the headlights are poly carbonate but my wife nagged to get them(it is her car) so I got them and fitted them up then decided to paint the tops of the headlight out which made it look heaps better. The car was 2 weeks old when she was driving to work and a tip truck about a km in front must have flicked up a large rock which she didn't see till it hit the headlight portector, shattering it in about 3 places but not a mark on the headlight. I say all that to say this; headlight protectors@$75. Headlight @$330. Need I say more....
  11. My brother paid just on $3k for an Autronic engine management computer, loom and a few sensors about 4 years ago. I'ts going on his VW type 3 with a 2330cc fuel injected, t3/t4 hybrid turbo and dry sumped flat 4 engine. Seems like a lot to spend on an ECU but that's peanuts compared to the cost of this engine(approx 20k.) So he wants an ECU that can control everything this engine can produce as well as do it safely without problems. Ask Northy, he's seen all these goodies and and the car it's going into ;) I only wish my Stivo could have as much torque as this thing did when it was atmo :(
  12. Looks like they will be nearly as many SP23's as Corolla's. C'mon boys get out to this event and show em what Stivo's can do!!
  13. Well Mintos till you've actually driven this car I feel that you are totally not qualified to comment on the gains made with the power FC. I drove Northy's car and the first thing you notice is the amount of torque and pull the thing has under 4000rpm. It just makes the car so much more effortless to drive as you don't need lift to get the thing to accelerate hard. I'd go as far to say that you'd beat a 1zz without using lift and I know that will upset you 1zz owners but Northy's car will start to break traction if you sink your boot into it from about 3000 rpm onwards. Hills that I accelerate up hard in say 2nd in lift Northy can accelerate nearly as hard in 3rd off lift. We drove up a certain private test mountain with some others from this forum and we hardly hit lift all the way due to the fact that the car was accelerating more than hard enough and we had more than enough speed to keep it on the road in a safe manner!(cusco's are friggen awesome!!) As for hitting lift, fall asleep at the wheel and still land gearchanges in lift!! We also tested Northy's car with his RSM(although this isn't totally 100% accurate) we managed on a semi wet road with a slight uphill to start then flattens out, 2 of us in the car and Northy slightly missing 2nd and 4th change to pull a 15.8 400m at about 143km/hr! So basically it is as far as i'm concerned worth every cent and as he's the guinea pig for a PFC on a 2ZZ then of course tuning costs will be slightly more expensive.
  14. Hi all I'm organising wedding cars for a friend of mine's wedding next Sunday 9th October. I need another black Sportivo to complete the wedding cars due to 1 black Stivo pulling out at the last minute for some unknown reason :( I currently have my car as the bridal car (silver) and Northy's Stivo as the Bridemaids / groomsmen car but need another black one. If your in Brisbane and have a black Stivo that's clean and tidy to be used as a wedding car then PM me ASAP as I need to have all the arrangements sorted by Friday 7/10. You will also receive a token of the married couple's appreciation for your efforts. Plus it'll make for some great photo's as well. Your car and you will be needed from 2.15-2.30pm to about 5-30pm. Driving distance is very minimal(approx 20km max) PM ME ASAP OR CALL ME ON 0412 559 592 Cheers SILVABULLIT :D
  15. Don't know about the plumbers crack; I'd say more like a bulky postage slot Good work Buddha on the movie and I'm glad you didn't zoom in on Azza's bulk mail slot!!
  16. Definately makes the wed wocket look a little more aggressive without the Hilux stance. I notice people actually take a second glance at it as it does look that much better. :D
  17. Don't know about a few of them but I'd say most of them ;)
  18. Can we make this a compulsory part of the membership form? It's becoming a pain in the A55 not knowing where people are from especially when they PM you etc etc. <_<
  19. What about where the seat bolts to the floor? Or the seat belt anchorage point on the bottom of the pillar.
  20. Same car with the same strut towers. Shouldn't be a problem. Changes are only cosmetic.
