  1. If your that worried about getting your filter wet in the rain then don't put it on. :o I've had my CAI on for over a year and have driven in driving rain and have never had a problem. It takes a bit of common sense and not looking to drive in the gutter full of water. You would have to drive in a substantial depth of water to submerge the filter and then to get it to suck it up. As Rollamods said Marks car was only seconds away from sucking it into the combustion chamber but he hit a seriously big deep puddle and at speed :P ;) Drive according to the conditions and the road, be smart and wallah!! No Problems :D
  2. Guys check out 9thgencorolla.com site for a rough template of what I think could be the way to go. Member of the month etc etc.
  3. Yep I'll put a vote up for the Azza man. Cause he gets around, knows everything(if you listen to him ) and knows everybody and what's going down in Brisbane. ;)
  4. E-gene I'm not a latte drinker but a nice tall cold glass of ice coffee would do the trick!!
  5. Can we please police what avators are being used by some people as I feel some are offensive and for those who access the forum at work could get into trouble should the wrong eyes see some of the avators being used. Whether the content be of a sexual nature or just offensive signs etc I just don't think it's necessary. :( <_< Cause if it doesn't i will unfortunately not be able to access the forum during my lunch hour as will many other members. Thanks Silvabullit. :D
  6. So I guess it'll be a Stivo with the highest output!!!
  7. Yep the bullit was as clean on the underside as it was on the top. A big thanks to Azza for your help in prepping the car for the show. Car looked great on dispaly and had plenty of attention paid to it ;) I watched the judges doing their thing and were checking for cleanliness; the guy looked under the bonnet then looked under the wheelarches and just started shaking his head. He then got on his hands and knees and looked under neath. He then got back back up and walked away shaking his head with a smirk on his face. :P He then came back for another look at the whole car and must have cut at least 2 full laps around it I think he was checking his reflection It was a good day with a few cars from the Starlet forum attending and a few from the Twincam forum as well. It would have been nice to see a few more late model Stivo's/corollas there to bolster the late model ranks but maybe next year!! Cheers Silvabullit. :D
  8. In the UK, it sells for around 22k Euros (mate of mine in the uk bought one for 18.5k) which is just under $30kAUS. Being produced in Swindon, England... by the time it gets here, who know's how much it'll cost on top of other costs as well. Yeah A/C is optional for some reason, price issues maybe. The newer 2005 model have a lighter flywheel (30% lighter if i recall correctly). If they can settle it around the 35k mark over here, i don't see why people won't buy it, now that the Corolla Sportivo has ceased production... doesn't leave too many options. It's hard (wrong?) to judge a car based on its value without driving it and just looking at paper figures. From the numerous reviews i've read and seen in the hot hatches market, the type r always ends up a clear winner. Surely that means something doesn't it? I'm not judging anything here of course. But who knows, this may be useless to us as it may not get imported at all. ← I think they would opt to bring in the Euro vesion for a few reasons like what they did to the Integra TypeR -> Integra TypeS.. targets a bigger audience and market. The most crucial factor for me is price, if it does come to Oz.. i'll be waiting! ;) ← Join the club!!!! I've got a pic of a Type R Civic on my fridge form about 2 years ago when Honda Australia were looking at importing them the same way Mitsubishi import Evo's on the low volume import scheme. If Honda could get the numbers to fit they said they'd do it but obviously it didn't happen. But I'm waiting in earnest and if they can get them here for the right price then I'm there. ;)
  9. Were you checking out your good looks in the mirror?
  10. That's what you get for buying a white one :P Should have gone with SILVER B)
  11. Not that good! But it's damm good to see the Victorians get beaten at their own game lol.
  12. I'd say turboed from what i saw happen :o
  13. I too was a little disappointed with the same thing Lucio has mentioned but in saying that I did the exhaust(CES cat back) and then the TRD CAI and I really have to say that these 2 mods combined have increased drivability and low end torque dramatically.
  14. Gone over a speed bump in the dark that I didn't see(wasn't marked) at about 40 no problems. BTW whats "scarping wheels"?
  15. Hey Scott Nice ride you got there. Welcome to the forums and i hope you enjoy your stay!! Cheers Silvabullit.
  16. By the time that a stivo has been around 10 years or more you could only imagine the aftermarket gear that'll be readily available and the sort of times that they'll be pulling-- without a turbo or S/C. I've read that thread before and the only one who was braggin about wanting to race was a turboed SR20. Now that's a fair race isn't it.
  17. To prove the myth that pedders are kings i have a set of pedders in a honda civic and i have scratched the red off and guess what? There is kings yellow paint underneath!! Even a kings part number LOL!!!!!
  18. So who's up for it?? I'm there with a trailer for all the trophies I'll be winning lol. Let's get a few good cars there :D
  19. Love your work Peekay ;) But I don't think you have to be a moderator for that to happen <_<
