  1. I'm with Azza on this one. If they had bought out a Stivo wagon then I would have bought it without batting an eyelid. This one just looks FAT. Love it. It'd look even better if it was SILVER!!! By the way Buddha, Azza is talking from experience in getting your wife to ok your mods! He has managed to talk her into springs(today) and even the possibility of giving it a run a Willowbank. ;)
  2. Unless they are trying to keep up to us on a certain private mountain test track eh? Line em up, watch em take themselves out
  3. Looks ok but it still has one major flaw....the blue oval badge.
  4. Very nearly bought a VTI's Jazz but then stumbled onto the Stivo. But sometimes i wish i had the Jazz with the price of fuel these days....4.8l/100km or something like that....NICE. ;) And they go alright too :D
  5. yeah i think the 2zz and 1zz engines pull very well for their 1.8L size, although i would say either the GTST and Silvia werent really going flat out, or they are not really tuned. The stock turbo's of these cars (even with exhaust mods) arent really that quick unless they have had some serious work done and in the higher gears, unless they are running high boost (12+psi) their turbo's will run out of puff in the higher gears. What would be cool though, is a car that you can cruise with in 4th and when you floor it...the wheels light up :D But these things dont happen without $$$$$$$$$ :( ← MMM... cruising in 4th then flooring and losing traction..... sound familiar Northy? I've had a run with a R33 gtst and he got the shock of his life. From a standing start to top of 3rd in the Stivo all he had on me was a front mudguard. And yes I could hear the turbo and a rev limiter in 1st and 2nd so he was giving it everything.(So was I ) Northy... black Astra sri with 2 girls :D ...r32 skyline full of hero's <_< ....2 big blokes in a Stivo .... gutless wonder in the r32 who wouldn't go .... girls had more balls than they did. At least they had a go at us and came off 2nd best....badly. ;)
  6. http://www.ptuning.com/html/search-result....oroll&cmbBrand= Try corolla or Matrix. I'm not 100% sure that they have the same struts as us but this may help.
  7. I can't believe some of you are getting wheels without hub rings. There's the biggest source of balance problems right there. Try getting your wheels and tyres balanced on the car not off it. Makes a huge difference.
  8. The bracket the pipe is mounted on that bolts to the strut tower needs a slight modification. Just bend it down a little until your happy with the clearance. But don't go too far or you'll crack the pipe. I've done somewhere between 5 and 10 braces now and bending the bracket slightly and no problems whatsoever. :D
  9. spotted a red Stivo with super low springs, C/F number plate thingy and a crazy driver who looked like Orsk!!!! I saw you on Kingston rd this morning at about 6.55am this morning.
  10. http://videos.streetfire.net/Player.aspx?f...C7-149BD123F011 Quiet for the street or noisy for the track(I'm looking at you Azza :P ) Also another interesting read from the Matrix forum regarding exhaust systems etc. Check out the links too. Some good technical info :D http://matrixowners.com/forums/What-You-Sh...ust-t46881.html
  11. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...p?showtopic=148 I would but those of us moderators elect don't have our wings yet ;)
  12. E-gene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another mess to clean up <_<
  13. If your going with the gold rims then you need something else gold on your car as well to continue the theme. I'm not a fan of gold wheels but if you are then cool but do put something else gold on the car eg. badges in gold or pinstripe etc.
  14. Sorry to put water on your fire Sydney boys but this needs to be moved to the event's section. :(
  15. Mine are still like new; but then again they only did 47km on the car when they were removed and replaced with something decent.
  16. Azza, your the man with the plan ;)
  17. Clutch (this ones for you Danthuyer!!!)
  18. Drove Northy's car the other night with the FC and the Cusco's and let me be the first to tell you that these 2 mods make the stivo absolutely friggen awesome. This thing now handles like a go cart!!!! I tested it on my "private test track" at my brothers house which is a steep windy hill that plateau's out then climbs again. The extra mid range torque and the handling ability allowed me to push it up the hill without effort and just hit 125km/hr by the top of the hill which is by far the fastest I've been able to do safely. The steering is direct and precise and wherever you point it, it goes!!!! The only drama we encountered was on the way home with a crazy man and his even crazier wife in a Hyundai Elantra who tried to run us off the road and then accused us something utterly ridiculous(which we didn't do) and then thought he could catch us.(Now this was funny) ;)
  19. spotted big Russ yesterday in Beryl st Kingston at about 7.50am. I was the one in the school bus attempting to run over you
