  11. Monroe are a replacement for the stock item. So is KYB but in my opinion KYB is a better unit. most people replace them after using stock shocks and lowered springs. Average lifespan of stock shock with lowered springs is around 20 000km's.
  12. Nice output there mate. Good results!!! Obviously not an experienced dyno operator by the sounds of it. Anyway you up for the TOCAU dyno day later in the year at CES?? Love to hear it on the dyno. have a look in the trader section under CES' logo.
  13. Mate here is the deal...... You sit down and set up a post with all the info "NOOBES" keep asking about outling all the info they will need to know. Include part numbers, diagrams etc etc just as someone did in the Corolla section and then post it up. Send me a PM when you have done it and I will personally have it pinned at the top of this section. Perhaps if you had of taken this approach in the first place and not started the whinging about the moderator team not doing their job this certainly would not have happened. Look forward to hearing from you shortly as this obviously is something that annoys you understandably. Here's your chance to give back to the forum in a big way.
  14. Dude if you read the title of this thread you will see it says "itinerary page 3". Man it aint that hard to read is it??
  15. not much power, one of the website says 7kw? but i rekon its full of **** maybe, better response time thats it and CAI is jsut for sound!!! try going under ur dashboard and loosen up the clutch bolt !! vtec > vvtl-i its a fact !! u wanna drift ?? lol Obviously you haven't done back to back testing. I did and got 5.5kw from memory and ont just noise. going under your dash and loosening the clutch bolt doesn't solve the problem. Yes Vtec is better only because it comes on earlier in the rev range. Bot cars on power and the result will suprise you. How do I know??? Cause I have tested it(just like Craig did so long ago hey mate!!) Drifting..... this is where craig was drifting off into another world dreaming about "that dress" he wore a long time ago.... (someone else can post the pic lol) Hey mate hope all is well with the boss and family. might see you out for some part of the national meet perhaps??
  16. I being a moderator and an ex corolla Sportivo owner and now a Hilux owner am i think from memory the oldest of the mod team on here. In fact I'm 34 today(will accept belated wishes) and tend to disagree with comments made about Corolla's being for young blokes cause there are a hell of a lot of corolla and corolla Sportivo owners out there that are my age or there abouts. Yes the majority are younger but take stock and look at where they get most of their info and advice from?? From us older blokes who have been around longer and accumulated a lot more knowledge that is car related. I agree with Micky 100000000000000000000000 % that aurion owners need to remember that this is a "TOYOTA" owners club and is not model specific to one model but moreso to all models. Not sure about the other states but up here in Brissy we have a couple of Aurion owners who frequent the meet ups and events and they are welcomed by all the other toyota owners no matter what they drive or their age. There are plenty of other sections apart from model specific ones that you can participate in(in Misc and workshop sections) and become apart of this forum as a whole and not just an offshoot that almost alienate yourselves from everyone else. National meet is on up here in Brissy on 6-9th june(Queens B/day long w/end) and you guys are more than welcome to attend. I for one would ove to see some more Aurions and other models attend as I have seen everything you can possibly do to a Corolla inside and out and underneath as well. So come along and say hi and mingle with some like minded people who love their Toyota's just as much as you do. cheers SB now off to eat some birthday cake mmmm.....
  17. Team: McLaren Drivers: Massa Hamilton Pole: Hamilton Fastest: Kimi
  18. LTS60 just bought one but has already told me it is a lot slower than a sportivo.
  19. Thanks mate. They are ticking over like clock work. Or is that my pacemaker.......
  20. All interstaters meet at F1 motel on saturday morning and we will then convoy to carlovers. As most Car wash centres in Brissy are now busy due to water restrictions we will meet at F1 Hendra at 10.30am and got to wash cars. From there it will be about a 20 minute drive to the Toyota dealership for the show and shine. All info here... http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...=50#entry228743
  21. Cudos to you Dave. Someone who sees my point of view.
  22. I'd hold your tongue dude lol. That GA16 isn't even tuned properly yet and it's only 6kw behind us. He'll be pulling 130 - 140 soon methinks. Proof: Pulsar + Turbo = Sportivo Sportivo + Turbo = Xoom Xoom = Win QED. (yes I am a nerd ) Last Year at the National meet on the way to Penrith...... xoom with 3 passengers turbo N14 with just driver.... xoom FTW on low boost..... then hit high bost for even bigger win... Pulsar got cut and turned off.... Can it get any clearer than that????
  23. I object. At no point do I see provision for getting on the cans Well you can if you want to go with someone else down to the Goldy. That way you can have a few amber cordials if you wish to.

    18R or 3Y

Mate hunt around and see if you can get a 22R. 2.4 petrol and will perform really well. More power means you wont have to sink your boot into it to get it moving.
