  1. For the price Toyota are asking, it's going to be hard to find someone who has. Plus now that Toyota offer the Follow Me system for a much lower cost people who want sat nav are probably likely to head in that direction.
  2. Contact the RTA (if in NSW or I presume similar in other states) and they will give you the contact for the nearest company that can do this. If you are in Sydney there is a company on Sunnyholt Rd in Blacktown that can do them (though I cannot remember the name).
  3. Would anyone know if there is a difference between the TRD Springs and the TTE (Toyota Motorsport) ones for a ZRE152?
  4. Yeah, Same. If you find a good price, want to let me know, and I'll probably go in with you and perhaps save on delivery, or get a better price :) I just heard from Toyota Motorsport (Germany) that TRD Australia has apparently been doing some testing with the twin exhaust kit, so here's hoping it becomes a factory option or maybe there is a TRD Corolla on the way (I live in hope)
  5. correction: most of them have none.. <_< Best one of these I had seen was on a white skyline(I think) it had the shopping list of 6 or 8 brands and then had green ticks next to half of them Whether he had the goods and the others were his plans or whether he was just taking the ***** I don't know as I was driving past at the time
  6. The only foglight law that's needed is one against rear foglights, like the ones on the back of Hyundai Excels that seemed to be permanently on and annoying the hell out of anyone behind them.
  7. The question has plagued modifiers since the first Japanese car landed in Australia (for Australian cars it was just called "useless crap" - and it seems the answer was there is never too much). How much rice is too much? Is there a limit too how much one should chrome? Obviously the chrome Auris http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...4&hl=chrome was going too far but how far can one go before it is too far? [and I don't want any soft answers of it's a matter of personal choice]
  8. The people at Lindop Toyota ( www.lindop.co.uk ) were very helpful I now have a horizontal cargo net for the boot of my Corolla (and before you laugh, it is for holding my laptop whilst I go round corners on the way to work). All up including postage was just short of $100 which is not bad when Subaru dealers charge over $140 for a similar item for their cars. I had tried a generic net from one of major spares retailers and found it was more suited to the big cars and did not work too well when you tried to reduce it's size. Overall I am pleased with the Toyota Genuine product (although Toyota Australia would probably not consider it genuine - but that's another rant)
  9. Try this http://techdoc.toyota-europe.com Select Auris and Performance Click on Lowering Springs
  10. Can someone explain why rear windscreen wipers are generally only found on hatchbacks and not on sedans? I have seen a couple of Skyline with them but that has been about it for sedan like cars.
  11. http://techdoc.toyota-europe.com/legacy/To...up=0&lan=En The above link is to a search engine I found for Toyota Europe Accessories. It can be useful if you have a vehicle which is available in Europe.
  12. Personally I am sticking with 98 B)
  13. Has anyone here installed a Homelink unit in their Toyota, either Toyota branded (it's actually a $300 option on the Auris/Corolla Hatch in the UK) or aftermarket? I was wondering how well they work.
  14. I haven't checked it out lately but at the start of the year I was facing the same decision. I chose the Corolla for space and pace. Yaris was at the time actually better for resale, that said though a difference 5% on resale of a 20k car is only $1,000 and as for parts and modifications there appeared to be more bits for the current Yaris, in fact even more than the previous Corolla ZZE
  15. Thanks for the advice on the springs, I made some inquiries on the springs and Eibach are actually abot 10% more expensive to buy over the counter here than it is to have TTE send a set of their s over
  16. Use Caltex 98 (whatever it is called) as I am on a fuel cards with Caltex and Shell (and there is no Shell PULP at the moment) my choice is somewhat limited. I am currently getting 6.8L/100km in my manual Levin SX. The car is in it's 4th week of it's life and I should hit 5,000km on the way to work tomorrow, almost all the driving is highway/motorway (300km round trip to work)
  17. Has anyone had any update on this problem, it is becoming incredibly frustrating
  18. Yes but he was direct from www.tte.de (I believe) I am looking for some Toyota Accessories offered in Europe but not here
  19. You got it direct from Toyota Motorsport (www.tte.de) right? I am looking for a few parts which are normal Toyota Accesories in Europe but not available here. However as far as Toyota Motorsport parts go I am orderring the Lowering Springs in the next few weeks, just trying to hunt down the best price option www.tte.de vs. European Dealer vs. Toyota Australia. Toyota Motorsport actually believe that dealers here sell the parts. If I can find the right price for it I will get the twin exhaust even if it is just for rice value
  20. I was wondering has anyone imported parts from a Toyota Dealer in Europe? I just had a look through the Accesories for the Auris (our Corolla hatch) on the Toyota Europe website and the range of accessories they have just for the Auris is amazing (and there are a few that I want)
  21. People if you insist on telling the world your top speeds at least claim it was on a track or private road or disused air strip ie. somewhere that it is not illegal and (from the numbers that did still show) likely to cost you your license in one go. Let's think about it alot of people read these forums and most are not in favour of speeding on public roads. Or better still actually try your car on a track or official drag strip there is a bit more enjoyment to it
  22. Congratulations on the purchase i too chose the Levin SX, you should have a lot of fun with it
  23. Ok for more detailed thoughts on the new Corolla. I have travelled just over 3,000kms now and I am quite impressed with the car. I have a manual Levin SX and at first I thought the gear lever would take a lot of getting used to but it hasn't it feels a natural position. The handling of the car has surprised me I am quite impressed with it I was expecting to have to do a full sports suspension kit for it but now it looks like it will just be lowering springs. Styling wise I love the exterior the only criticism is the black strip where a front lip would go (it needs a front spoiler at least on the Levins - I will probably go either TRD or TTE) and that it needs lowering. I am amazed with the amount of space in the car and the layout. My only gripe when purchasing the car was that no dealership was prepared to bundle in TRD goodies even if I paid full price for them but had them included with the car (so the finance company could look after the cost and I wouldn't notice I was paying $100 per month extra instead of having to save up and then part with some serious money. Before I got the Corolla I had been driving an Aurion ATX while I waited for delivery and personally I prefer the Corolla

Try taking it to another dealer, they may have a different view and follow through on fixing the problem. Oh and by the way saying you will never buy a particular car again does not help your situation, Dealer will then take the view nothing can change his mind so no use wasting any effort on you. Where as you can let them know you are displeased and that this is affecting your parents / friends / unknown strangers decision to buy a car of said make and suddenly they will often go out of the way to help (Dealer think potential sale if I look after this customer)
