  1. For those who are interested I have been doing a little shopping around for a sports filter k&n Part No. 33-2252 $94.00 - $150.00 (Repco, Autobarn, AutoOne etc) TRD Part No. MS155-00004 $128.90 - $180.00 (Various Toyota Dealers)
  2. I was a bit skeptical at first but after two weeks behind the wheel I am very happy with the new Corolla, inside and out
  3. Ordered my Levin SX in mid Feb and picked it up Friday before last (18 April - it's just that it has taken me this long to refind this thread). I could have had one a week or so after orering but I wanted an 08 build so I had to wait. I think from memory there was 5km on the car (up to the upholsterers and back for the leather) I got a full tank of fuel with mine however this is not the norm and some dealers are actually promoting in their sales pitch. Other cars I have bought new have ranged between 1/4 tank and 1/2 tank (this is my fourth new car).
  4. To me it looks a bit underspecced in the poverty pack 57k and you only get single CD and no fog lights??? The interior in the 4000SL looks like an after thought as from the pictures and the blurb it appears that the door panels are either vinyl or material not leather. Sat Nav is an extra on both one would think it would have been standard on the 4000SL. As for appearance it doesn't exactly set the world on fire. Overall I think more could have been done for the price :(

  7. Has anyone added a TRD muffler to a ZRE152 yet? If so what does it sound like (re. drone at highway speeds??) or has anyone been even more adventurous and added a Toyota Motorsport exhaust??

  9. Well this thread is showing it's age, I paid $1.60 per litre today (admittedly it was for 98 premiuim) and before you all start saying I could have shopped around I was getting close to empty and I was in a hurry
  10. Yes it's not like the formula of hotting up your highest selling model is not already a proven success (re Mitsubishi with the Lancer, VW with the Golf, Subaru with the Impreza and so on). They could make two models with performance being the differnece a TRD Corolla with AWD (maybe) and a slightly warmed engine and uprated suspension and a TRD Sportivo Corolla with AWD and either a Turbo or Supercharger. Surely that would sell rather than the difference just being some luxury features
  11. It needs a sodding big wing on the back of it
  12. I should receive my Levin SX towards the end of next month and have made a few enquiries on the suspension side for springs TTE 220Euro ex Germany (I got quoted 200Euro for Postage but this was with a second set of springs so I would have been looking at approx $500) TRD approx 550 AUD supply only K-Mac 560 fitted Pedders 530 fitted TRD are a bit expensive over $800 for the shocks and $500 for the front bar K-Mac make a rear sway bar and mounting brackets as well as all the other usual goodies Pedders only do Springs front sway bar would be a special build
  13. 2005 build (MY06 Altise Limietd) 3.0L V6 13.5L/100km City and 9.5L/100km highway
  14. I was trying to find somewhere in Sydney (or Australia at least) that sells clear or crystal or Altezza style tail lights for the current model Corolla hatch, does anyone know of aanywhere. I have already tried a few suppliers who have them for several other models but no luck on the current model.

Sydney Special Vehicles sells this kit and has pictures of it on a real car at www.ssv.com.au
  16. Years ago they did a wing for my Falcon (before I saw the light) . They were helpful and a good price (my mother got a factory replica wing for her Falcon and SSV was about 30% cheaper
  17. were do i contact TTE for more information. the link does not answer this question.gives Emailed TTE for pricing and was advised it would be about 3500 Euro for the kit delivered to Sydney
  18. Have a look at Sydney Special Vehicles ( www.ssv.com.au ) theyhave 4complete kits for the Yaris and a variety of other parts including lights and grilles. Best of luck and enjoy modifying your machine
  19. We chose our Camry a Gen 5.5 based on boot size as we had one baby and another on the way. I had a BA Falcon from work at the time and the boot was just downright awkward. We had driven and loved the Focus, but when we put the pram in the boot suddenly there was no room for anything else. We bought the Altise Limited and what sealed the deal was the amount of features for the price. The Liberty had been in the running but the price difference was just too great
  20. try www.ssv.com.au they have a few kits
  21. Has anyone done much highway travel in a Yaris? I have just taken a new job which will result in a bit of travel to and from work (in excess of 100km each way) almost all of which will be on highways or motorways and I am considering a Yaris (for fuel economy). Has anyone had any expereience? How does a Yaris handle at 110kmh for long stretches? Any cabin noise issues?
  22. Toyota F1 / TTE www.tte.de or TRD http://trdparts.jp/english/list_new-vitz.html
  23. That looks awesome. The dealers appear to be a bit over the place at the moment. I have been getting quotes for a Corolla Levin SX and have had a difference between dealers of over 2k, though it is looking now like I might be going for a Yaris, my wife saw the ads for Barinas at 14k driveaway and well if I have to have something that small it might as well be a Toyota
  24. From a price list I got from TTE in October last year Front Skirt EUR 143.44 + postage Springs EUR 220 + postage Personally I like the twin exhaust
