  1. What about a section for scans of Toyota brochures. That is have a copy of the brochure for various toyota models to be downloaded, that way when one is looking to buy a second hand Toyota they can easily see what colours and options were available in a particular model. Sure agreement may need to be sought from Toyota, but when it is put to them that this is to assist people in the second hand market choose a Toyota (and thereby help keep resale values of Toyotas and thus in turn assist with new car sales) over another make. If this does take off I do have a few brochures that I would be willing to scan and submit.
  2. Spoke with Toyota Customer Service today, the release date for the TRD Aurion is still not finalised but will be mid-late August 07
  3. According to Toyota Customer Service there will be 41 dealers across Australia but cannot announce yet as not all have been finalised
  4. Perhaps the good people at CAPA can help www.capa.com.au I strongly doubt that TRD would produce a Supercharger kit for the Aurion. Have a look at what other markets the Aurion engine is used in (ie. US or Europe) perhaps under the bonnet of a Lexus and you may find kits in those countries as I am told there used to be a supercharger kit for the Corolla available from the US, though apparently there was some difficulty with the whole LHD/RHD issue. On the other hand in Europe where there was actually a Supercharged Corolla for sale (the Corolla Compressor) there was no kit available
  5. Is there a more accurate release date other than August 07? Looking forward to seeing one in the showrooms and reviewed fully by the press (especially the unbiased sectors)
  6. Try www.ssv.com.au they may have what you are after and are at Ryde
  7. TTE do a nice twin tip muffler for the 36 series Camry unfortunately nothing for the earlier models (see link http://www.tte.de/silencer.htm)
  8. oops we are getting off the track a little bit, back to the original question Does anyone know who the TRD dealers are in NSW or Victoria?
  9. And lets face it the options/accessories are where they can make more margin from us because a lot of people get a few quotes on the base car (but not necessarily base level), decide on a dealer and then option up
  10. Yes there usually is but unfortunately quite a few of them don't even do that
  11. Nice set up. If anyone has had a chance to look at one standing still the Focus XR5 has a similar system of indicators in the mirrors and they have replaced the indicators in the guard (which all other models use) with small oval chrome panels marked "focus". Whilst it could look good on Corolla, on a 45k car this looks a little cheap and nasty
  12. We received our letter today, I am going to get it done and will let you know any outcome
  13. Our man Melvin at least appears to be one who knows something of his product, so there is hope yet. Seriously though I have had one dealer not even know that there was a sport springs option on the accessories list for the Corolla ZZE122 (and quite a few did not even know what that meant). I would hate to be forced to buy my TRD Aurion from someone who did not know what TRD meant, especially if there is any knid of half decent accessories/options list for them.
  14. Thanks Melvin Do we have any NSW or Vic dealers hiding amongst us who know the dealers in those respective states? All I know is Ryde Toyota is not one of them. My biggest fear is that we end up with a couple of dealerships that sell alot of vehicles but have no interest or knowlege of the vehicles end up as TRD dealers. How many sales people selling Sportivo's really knew anything about them?
  15. No apparently they are to be sold only through nominated TRD dealers (like HSV and FPV). I have had one dealer confirm to me that he will not be a TRD dealer
  16. Does anyone know who the TRD dealerships are for the TRD Aurion? I have been told that there will be 5 in NSW but no idea who they will be
  17. Alternatively buy whichever one you want and for around $200 you can have which ever one of the grilles you want (saw an Altise with a Sportivo grille today). I am intending to get a Grande grille for my Altise Limited (not too look like a Grande, I just like the bling look of the chrome B) )
  18. Superb ad, wish they could run that here but then some scammer would probably sue if theirs did break down.
  19. good clip it would be nice if this article could make it onto a mainstream television show here, but then would the offenders take any notice (not likely). Any of you who use other forums may like to post this link in them so other modifiers can be aware of this
  20. Want a little bit more out of your Yaris try the link below http://www.tte.de/downloads/brochures/Yaris_compressor.pdf you'll have to make your own enquiries with TTE as to price as I know nothing about Yaris
  21. The boot is huge, when we bought ours in Jan 06 it had the largest boot of it's class (100L bigger than the Commodore of the time) As to the websites try the other usuals drive.com.au carpoint.com.au I was actually having a look this morning and saw a few manual V6's around. One thing to keep in mind is that the search engines don't always work properly. I found if you use MCV36 as a keyword you come up with very few results but if you use the year range then you will be fine. Try driving an auto as well for comparison, maybe it was just a Friday build that I drove but the manual I tested a few months back seemed very sluggish compared with my auto
  22. Spotted on Windsor Road in Rouse Hill earlier tonight, Black 36 series (Gen 5.5) Sportivo (I think as I never saw the grill). Car had been debaged and it made the rear end look really smooth, the only badge left was the the Toyota logo, very nice indeed. The rest of the car appeared stock

    Struat Bar

Which model? For the 36 series the Sportivo came with one and that could be used on all 36s Check out a Sportivo at a dealers and see if they have the bar Also try www.trdusa.com they may have one as I have heard that TRD USA are doing strut braces for Camry's just don't know which models
  24. Why do the Europeans get such a better range of Accessories??? http://www.toyota-europe.com/cars/new_cars...ccessories.aspx
  25. Have a look at http://www.tte.de/cm_auris_E15.htm for TTE's options on the new Corolla
