  1. Patience & Persistence was the key mate! lol... You can actually run 2 gauge down there... I just ended up unscrewing the two nuts that held the loom into the firewall and made the job a hell of a lot easier!! hahahaha I think the most irritating part was trying to run the speaker cabling through the front doors... I ran the RCA cables down the right side of the car (so there's no interference and all that) and that was heaps easier... straight up the side of the hinge on the driver's door, under the steering wheel, and somehow into the centre console.
  2. Hey mate, We'll see ya on the flipside none the less :P ... Yeah, as Trent mentioned, we're moving to a better server within the next couple of weeks actually :)
  3. I use the Nulon long life... red stuff. Camrys only like good coolant. I'd really be pushing the genuine stuff here though - can't stinge out on coolant for a Toyota. You can get the 4L containers made up from Nulon, available from Supercheap. Works for me, but next time I'm going Genuine product mate, and I suggest you do the same.
  4. Seen that happen before as well. Consider it a DIY custom job :P Go into Spotlight or a custom car shop and get some of the fake leather material they use to sheet interiors on cars and do something different :)
  5. BLACK AURION TOURING FOR UNDER 31K?!?!?! YES!!! I'd jump on that anyday! (If I had the money of course) Comes with bells and whistles... very nice car indeed (just like all Touring Series - not biased or anything lol) I'd be looking for ex demo Aurion SX6s or Camry Sportivos... The Aurion engine may be 3.5L, but it's fuel efficiency to my 3L 3VZFE 95 Touring Series Vienta is better than that. All comes down to better engineering, and better aerodynamics.

    Noobie

You bought with quality in mind :P hahahaha Nice car mate, those VVT-i engines got some up n go too lol. Enjoy the car mate.
  7. Yeah, it was a good day out :) Too bad the other thread's sorta turned into a lil war zone though, lol... I like's the Chaser
  8. Nice pics you guys got there :) Don't spose anyone got a pic of my Camma?? Not much to look at, but I love's me Camry :P..
  9. Was a great day out, only had 3 hours sleep on that Saturday night, but still good, lol. I ended up leaving the pack at Woodford, coz home was only a 1/2 drive from there anyway in Beerwah :) Had fun makin small talk across the UHFs (LOL) and seeing cars prangin into road barriers and all that... if not, hittin the main roads out towards Kilcoy were a test on how the car goes (3VZFE FTW!!) Thanks to the organisers, we'll all meet up again without a doubt :) - Shannon
  10. In response to that lad... BP Ultimate here (when I was using it for a month or so to test it out) was an extra 3-4 cents more than the 98 octane V-Power down the road. And also.. that Ethanol info is useful. So.. it mixes with the water in the fuel system... burns it off... and loosens any carbon deposits in the engine?? So... Townace man... which would you recommend? Stay with normal fuel, or go with the Ethanol??
  11. You may be right mate, but bloody hell... we have Greg's Gen 2 Camry and Dan's Gen 4 Camry... Hopefully, you'll see them both and show just how great these Cammas can be :)
  12. So you're expecting a "Show and just Show" instead of a "Show and Shine" event on Saturday lads?? Hahaha Hey, the sun has only briefly made an appearance here on the Sunshine Coast (ironic dumb name) for the first time since Thursday/Friday last week...
  13. D00d Get rid of it. That was the first upgrade to my car :)
  14. A 1UZ?? Naahhhh... 2JZ??? Yeeehhhhh hehehhee. You can then put a shopping list down the side of the car after mate (Apexi, HKS, Greddy... they're on most Skylines & 180SXs... hehe)
  15. Your normal wire loom that goes into the back of the Glovebox so to speak is what I seem to find is the best way. There's normally 2 screws you can undo on the engine side, pull the positive cable through what seems to be a huge-***** grommit, and drop down the back of the glovebox (need to remove a panel or so under the glovebox area). That's where I've run my cable, lots of other Camry owners I know have done the same. I ran a 4 gauge cable and that's gone all the way down to the boot :)
  16. These must be the 1st times I've ever heard V-Power to be "bad" fuel. I'm constantly gettin around 550-600km a tank from Shell... whether it's 95 octane or V-Power. One thing I won't touch again - BP Ultimate. The price is stupidly high and I had less mileage.
  17. Bloody... Greg's gonna take nearly every title ya got there mate!! Lol... CAMRYS REPRESENT!! Yeeewww.. hahahaha, should be an excellent day!!
  18. This looks like it's gonna be a good weekend!! There's gonna be around 5 of us from Auscam meeting up at the Show n Shine, and probably attending the Sunday cruise too Looks like we're gonna Camry represent!! Will be good to meet people from Tocau, I only know Big Pete.. I spend all my time in the Camry section (and that's not near the amount I spend on Auscam though lol)
  19. I'm making an effort to get to this one :) Also, we may have a few other Toyotas rockin up from AusCam and Camcrew... should be an interesting weekend by the sounds of it :P No doubt, Big Pete will provide us with some info. Most of us on the other sites are members here anyway, lol. Just gotta get my a$$ down from the Sunshine Coast now
  20. I know that Haltech does them. I know someone on another Toyota forum that has a Haltech HX6 or thereabouts strapped to his 4 banger... shouldn't be an issue for a V6. Greddy Emanage... might be a goer there too. I knew someone who had a Piggyback ECU on the Vienta V6 3VZ, but he bought it from a Car Enthusiast like that, so I couldn't tell ya the brand unfortunately mate.
  21. Just to reiterate what I posted before... Best bang for your buck: 1. 3SGTE inplant - they go like rockets 2. a 3VZ or 1MZ conversion, with bolt-on TRD Supercharger. I know someone on Auscam who's selling one... wouldn't be suprised if it's gone already though... I may have a contact for you in the States who can get ahold of them though?
  22. Quite honestly, I reckon it'd be worth your bucks to get an aftermarket ECU and get a Tuning Shop to do that. Piggyback ECUs are the way to go these days anyway lol (will cost the same anyway).
  23. See if you're able to source the E153 Gearbox mate... very strong. Came from the V6 Camrys, and (correct if I'm wrong) the 3SGTE MR2s back in the day. Or... do what the other lads have suggested :)
  24. It'll depend mate. Some came with 4 inch 2 way speakers, some came with the 6.5s... It'll take you no less than 5-10 mins to pull the trim off anyway to clarify. Even if they are 4 inch, you can chuck a flatter style 6.5 inch set in there anyway.. should be fine.
  25. Performance is great - my Grandparents own a 01 Conquest with the 1MZ in it... has no balls compared to my 95 Tourer with the 3VZ unfortunately, even though theirs is meant to be 5kw more powerful, lol... (prob ECU needs to be recalibrated).
