  1. i purchased it from www.shox.com incredibly fast delivery. I paid about $1750 inc shipping and tax. This was in November I think, when the US / AUS is $0.93
  2. I got Bilstein PSS coilover on my car and its perfect match between comfort and performance. And lately I've been driving EVO 8 MR equipped with Bilstein shock from factory; its brilliant. So if you can grab Bilstein = don't back off.
  3. Is it hard to turn the steering wheel at a fast rate with that button on the steering?
  4. Just don't spend that 400 for now, wait until cold air intake comes out.
  5. There's too much war happening in this forum. Let's be constructive and informative. The Blitz kit looks very nicely engineered. I am sure this kit is made to operate within the limit of 2zz-ge engine and made to be easy to live with for its buyers. Also, AU$7000 is indeed some big spending, but maybe there is a reason behind this. We all experienced the so called "you do get what you paid for", and for the easiest example, and perhaps the most common item purchased for corolla, is cold air intake. Most of people here buys AEM, Injen or TRD rather than Ebay intake. I bet when it comes to the decision to buy is because of the brand's solid reputation. So far, in my experience, most big brand names does performed closer to what it promised compared to the lesser known brand. You just have to be very selective in which brand name you buy, and not for the sake just to be branded. Best of all, its bolt-on affair. Read the instructions carefully and install it twice as careful, and you should be ready to go without many dramas (there is always a drama when it comes to modifying). This is a great thing to most people, and these parts are much easier to allocate to buy. Don't forget warranty, thats a big deal (Although parts from overseas may not be valid for warranty). Other options you can go for, is go custom made like Xoom's turbo, and The_J_Factor celica with rotrex supercharger. Both seems to be performing exceptionally well, but of course this takes more time and effort, but can sometimes ended up spending less money to spend than buying branded names. Or, the otherwise. But hey, the parts used in this custom made kit is also branded name right? Why of course it is :) And of course quality craftmenship, which cost you top dollar. But if time is money, then the actual cost to build these kits are actually more than you spend. And perhaps that's why bolt on kit is expensive? Because the manufacturer spends a great deal of time (money) investing into a kit to be relased to market? You got to get your capital back in any business now do you? Of course.
  6. By the way, isn't NZ have lesser import tax and duties than Aus? Perhaps thats why its cheaper to buy Blitz for NZ than AUs. I did remember someone said he got quoted $6500 +/- for Blitz to land in his doorstep. This is for AUS.
  7. There is a Celica in NSW with Blitz S/C. A black one and its on a cover for some magazine which I couldn't remember which.
  8. OZCelica would be the one for us Celica owners in Australia. But of course we are not limited to Australian forum only. Join up Newcelica.org for the best of the best forums for Celica. Everything you need to know is likely to be covered in that forum. By the way, are you in Melbourne?
  9. Even if the Blitz s/c doesn't achieved 200kw wheels I wouldn't mind buying it if I intend to forced induct my Celica, mainly because it helps power below lift. Most bolt on kit promises 30-40 percent power increase on top end power range anyway, way more than enough. Unless you are Kw junkies. A similar result may be comparable; the celica owner from Brisbane who Rotrex-ed his Celica achieved 200hp wheels, translated to 140kw-150kw wheels. But if you just care about kw in your Sportivo/Celica, you probably just want to go fast in a straight line. Which in my opinion, you bought the wrong car.
  10. note that Diamond visions dont have a very long life, so watch out. prob only last 6-15 months before atleast 1 blows. It lasted 2.5 years in my Corolla and its still going with the car's new owner.
  11. I wonder if its possible to make run safely on 98octane. I meant, the Prius runs on 13:1 comp ratio
  12. Could it be because those wheels are put on high tourqe cars which causes it to break down?
  13. What if there will be a TRD Corolla for real? Looking at the hot hatch market, its a good move for Toyota to go and make one. I honestly looking forward to see a TRD Corolla.
  14. Need aquamist if you combined TRD S/C and any Pod filter intake as apperantly it will get too hot and cook the cat converters. If the car is still standard, adding full exhaust system and intake plus aquamist water injector will probably allow extra 10kw at wheels. But other than power alone, check out the super linear power curve (its more of straight line than curve).
  15. 17x7.5 is fine with 215/40/17. Stretch the trye.
  16. 110kw wheels sounds about right. Would be better to drive than stock 2zz-ge I would say.
  17. Did the Honda reps told your Dad the price for the car?
  18. G4, D2, K-Sport and some other brands are variants of the same makes just different labeling. When one brand changes its model, the other brand follows suits. Speaking about D2, I was told they are now discontinued. Oh time to vote. On that list, Cusco Zero is the best.
  19. It's not caused by ECU. It's caused by ecu not tuned well, or abusive driving.
