ok i saw a nice silver sportivo last night, at westleigh shopping centre... very loud exhaust system and dark tinting... the person picked up a waitress and left... plates were art-**a...

man that sucks big time... its the worst thing that there are so many people without lives out there who think its ok to go and steal other peoples' stuff than actually get a freaking job!

yep i've had a similar experience to yours eggbert... hasn't really got anything to do with karma, but it was nice.. last year some time i was connecting the electric brakes adapter to my dad's car and i put my phone on the boot coz i had no pockets... anyway i forgot it was there and jumped in the car and off i went... i got home and i couldnt find it and i was freaking out that i'd left it somewhere... about 20 mins later, i got this call at home from some guy who was walking along the street, and found my mobile. it must have slipped off the car as i was driving along. so i turned up and i offered him $20 (all i had in my wallet), and he refused it... apparently he looked in my phone book and found "Dad" and assumed it was a safe bet to call that number. so i just think its good that there are still a few people out there who will do the right thing. a few months ago, i found a new nokia 6220 on the side of the road... i dunno how it got there... and i called the vodafone call centre (it had a voda sim card) and the phone made it back to the rightful owner (as far as i know) ... there needs to be more righteousness in the world i tells ya!

not legal? thats suprising... ive seen a number of places advertising spring chopping for about $100... seemed like a cheap way to lower the car. if its not legal and uninsurable, i definately wont be doing that... looks like my car will look like a hilux for a couple of months... haha ah well it will all be worth it when im finished...

ok so hopefully just after christmas I will have enough money to go out and get me a new set of rims... i would like to lower that car while im at it, but i'm totally confused about the ways i can go about lowering... i want to do something cheap for now, and then save a bit of money and then i think buy some new springs and shocks.. it seems to be what most people go for in a suspension setup... i've heard about getting the springs chopped too. Is this safe? It sounds like the cheapest way to go. Would it be worth getting them chopped when i get my rims, and then in a couple of months time, when i've earned some more money, to get the whole lot replaced with new shocks and springs. i got no idea... so let me know what you think is worth doing...

yeah all the door holes are the same... the only difference would be that the ascent doesnt have tweeters.. when i replaced my speakers in the door, i just got a serated knife and sawed the whole speaker cone out. that way i could just stick my new 6.5" in the rim... wow that sounds bad...

im yet to experience a spider in my car while i drive... i also have arachnophobia so im not looking forward to it... i hate spring cos they all seem to come out and build webs wherever they can.. usually across my front door so when i step outside i cop the web in the face.. then i spend the next 20 seconds frantically trying to remove the web from my hair and then the next 10 minutes thinking everything that touches me is a spider...its a cruel world sometimes :P

seems to be a common thing with toyotas... you get a problem which occurs all the way to the dealership, and as soon as you arrive, the car is fine...

I had a very nice pre facelift sportivo go past me on the M2 around 2pm this arvo... twas silver in colour, and had some nice black or gunmetal wheels and the sports grille... plates were ***-888 ... i think... i tried to remember them but i have the memory of a goldfish..

yeah i dont know about the rears, but the holes for the fronts are definately big enough to fit a 6.5" speaker in without any dramas at all... the stocks might be 6" cos there's a fair bit of plastic on there...

at least your friends used to be into cruises... all my mates arent into driving enough to come on cruises... i was just about to reply and say i was coming tonight, and then i checked my phone and im expected to be at some christmas thing... dammit... so whens the next cruise? maybe i can make that one... stupid friends that dont like driving or cars... they call themselves males!!

ahh a man after my own heart - all of these bands are heavily featured in my car... i dont play them in my sportivo cos i dont have one, but they are loud and proud in the ascent.

hey yeah i was looking at getting these rims for aaagggeeesss.... if i can afford them i still will... im also looking at the ozzy 068s... i photoshopped those rims in white onto my ascent and onto a pic of a sportivo. If you want to see, PM me... they look pretty good...

ah... but why wouldnt a car come with that? where do i get an air conditioning filter from?
