  1. Those are sweet mate. Such detail in the drawing thing as well. That's wicked. Damn you take such good photos. Definitely was a good choice to get another camera to continue taking photos. I also now want to buy an SLR. I think that will be my next expense.
  2. Hehehe. Thanks mate. Good to hear that I've been randomly spotted already :D . Looks like these lights are turning out to be better than I expected. I didn't think so many people would agree with the look. Thanks has to go to czaja74 (Greg) though. If it wasn't for him offering these for sale, I would never have gotten these. Yeah Ash. I have a bad habit of impulse buying. The opportunity came up and I had to grab it. At least this one hasn't left me with buyers remorse.
  3. A common LED design angel halo will look a bit like this: This is the type I'd recommend due to the extra brightness you can get out of them. And they look really great. Seen a Supra here in person like that and it was hot. Both. People will try to dispute it, but truth is, CCFL will always have a more limited life than LED's. Just one of the few reasons why LCD's these days are going towards LED backlighting.
  4. That's correct. Personal reasons. I have had bad experiences with CCFL accessory lighting when put to automotive use. Plus I believe the life expectancy for the LED's would be much greater when exposed to the heat from the headlights.
  5. Apparently the seem to say they can fix it with a transmission ECU update. I've also heard that this doesn't really work that well, or only works for a few hundred k's.
  6. These U660E transmissions seem to be prone to getting issues with gear flare and other shifting related issues. I have noticed on mine that as it approaches the 100,000km mark, my gear changes when pushed hard are starting to get more noticeable on occasion. Like I've noticed when between 50-100% throttle, the change from 2nd to 3rd can be a bit sharper than before. I just figured this is because I have been too lazy to change my transmission fluid yet. It has been put through quite a bit so I would expect the fluid to be well used by now. I already have the parts to change it, the only thing I'm missing is the fluid. I will be interstate for the next 6-7 weeks, so after that I will sort it all out. I also use 'S' mode quite a bit so I reckon my gearbox has taken a beating since manually shifting an auto usually isn't the best. I'll see just how tough it is.
  7. Thanks again for the comments guys. Here are some I just took. My point-and-shot doesn't do too well with the colours. The lights really are red and not that orangey colour. I also kind of miss the uniqueness of the twin round LED parker/brake light arrangement the old lights had. Just the fact you could see the individual LED's I guess. Parkers: Parkers + Brakes: Brakes only: Parkers + Reverse (white LED): Parkers + Hazards lights: I actually like it. It isn't that big that it looks too obvious and bad looking, but it's just enough to make the lights seem more of a feature rather than just being part of the car. I've also decided to leave them non-tinted. I quite like them the way they are. Tinting I believe will hide the reflective detail of the insides... especially the blue parts of it which are really subtle.
  8. The Brisbane crew are very responsible drivers. Was an excellent run today. The first section in the dry was nice to get the tires warmed up for the damp second half which was some nice driving through the foggy mountain. Great cruise.
  9. I would personally avoid all CCFL angel eyes. If if I was to get those kick-a55 ones like Autojoy offers (the multiple LED angel eyes), that is something I'd be willing to pay $300-400 supplied and fitted.
  10. Yeah. This rain is going to really get in the way. I think I might bail on Willowbank regardless of whether it is dry around that area or not.
  11. You'd be missing out on a great drive then. Each to their own.
  12. Oh damn. I thought they would have looked good if tinted. I just don't want to screw them up by realising after tinting it that I preferred them better as they were before. I also think the actual tint spray doesn't come up as good as that as the tint is more of a darker colour.
  13. Just an update. More show, no go: Asian Camry Hybrid tail lights: They look much better in person. They aren't exactly everyone's cup of tea, but I like them.
  14. Dooo eeett. LOL. Looks like these lights are picking up on popularity. Go for it Nathan though. My justification is that the clear tailights (even though this is different to the Aus ones... it still is similar) only comes on the facelift Sportivos. Now the colour of our car is no longer a Sportivo colour anymore (yours is just gone completely), so it makes it more unique to have a pre-facelift in a colour like that with clear tail lights.
  15. The product I was referring to were the air tank cylinder system by Air Force Suspension. More details can be seen here. Basically, the difference is that these are a coilover with an 'air tank' on it that is similar to having air bags. This means when the air is let out of the cylinder, the car pretty much like it would be if it had just coilovers. The air tank though allows you to then raise your car up to get over speed bumps etc. It's only really intended for that purpose. Air bags on the other hand don't have a the spring and shock assembly like the air tank system. These rely purely on the air in the air bag to maintain ride height and softness. With adjustable coilovers, you have a little tab on the top in which a knob can be attached to so that you can adjust the rebound/dampening. The EDFC system is basically a motor that attaches to the top of each coilover and replaces the need to manually turn a knob. You can then do this remotely from the comfort of your drivers seat. Since the top of the Pedders coilovers are kind of similar to the Tein ones, I would imagine with a little bit of creativity, you may be able to get the EDFC to control the Pedders.
  16. Well at this point, I'm definitely thinking of keeping them. I'm not always good when it comes to change so I need to take time to get fully used to it. Once that happens, I don't think I'll want to get rid of them.
  17. Oi Mick! That was so rude! LOL LOL LOL Time to go to my happy place: Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  18. I could definitely hear the limiter on the 1st to 2nd shift.
  19. Simply because of this: It's like trying to get them to replace a wheel under warranty because you scraped it on a gutter.
  20. Thanks for the comments guys. I guess it goes to show that what you may think the outcome will be (whether it be good or bad), it can always surprise you at the end. If it wasn't for Greg selling them, I probably would never have gotten them. It was an impulse purchase. And as for the photoshop of ex-ELEGNT, I reckon these would be absolutely perfect with the Caribbean blue. That's how I saw it when I did my 50/50 comparison. Having the different tone of the tail light helps break things up a bit and create more noticeable features.
  21. Not with these coilovers. I've never heard of coilovers that can do such a thing... unless you are talking about AirForce coilovers which is like half air-bag, half-coilover. Otherwise, if you are referring to adjusting the dampening etc via remote, you can try using a Tein remote adjuster as it may be able to work with the Pedders (or at least with a few modifications).
  22. You know.... I probably will. Will be away for work for the next 6-7 weeks so will think about getting it after that. Would also only drop it a further 10mm or so that what it is currently because I don't think too low will be suitable for my everyday driving.
  23. Hmmmm. To buy or not to buy. So effing tempted right now.
  24. Not hard to find: eBay link - All Smoked LED TailLight for TOYOTA CAMRY 07-09 TRD
  25. Not possible. The shape is different. For starters, you would have to modify the bumper and put on an Aurion boot lid before you even thought of getting everything else to line up.
