If you are wanting a Sportivo, you are going to have to budget just a little more than that I would say. You would only really get luck if you narrowed your search to 2006 model Sportivo's with around 75,000km+ on the clock. Even still, you would be pushing it quite a bit to find one with your budget like that.

Ideal you just want a good quality multi-core cable in the minimum gauge recommended for your current power requirements. You lights are 35W each right? I would use 12 gauge at a minimum for driving both of these and 10 gauge to give you some room if the need ever arises. Multi-core copper cable is pretty low on resistance as it is and over the short distance that you are going to get to the driving lights, the effects of a voltage drop are hardly going to be noticeable. Even more so with yourself having HID lights as those are electronically controlled and even if they got 10V, they would still output full power by drawing more current.

I didn't really do anything to my car today. The guys at the tire shop did though. That was about enough outside time for me today. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They aren't large wheels etc etc. I'm REALLY over that now. I said I would stick with 17's if I was to change wheels... and this is what I did. These came up at a good deal brand new and after 90,000km of travel on my old wheels, I thought it was time for a change in design:

Much better. They dissipate heat WAY faster than the stock rotors and even under continuous braking, still hold their composure. Also thanks to the QFM HP-X brake pads.

Welcome mate. If you want to get stopping power like you describe, you are going to have to move to a full brake upgrade (at least on the fronts if you were to cheap out). Plus to make it even better, you can tie them in with some stickier tires. Upgraded rotors and aggressive pads pads will sure give you some more bite, which you should be able to increase the feel of by having gripper tires, but the end result is going to cost you more in the long run from pad/rotor wear plus tire wear I would reckon. The rotors of the Mazda 6 MPS were something like 320mm which is nearly like comparing the TRD brakes to the normal Aurion brakes.

mine is due for it's 90,000 km service in a few thousand k's. This usually wouldn't be far away, but at the moment... it may take a little while. Anyways, I would expect it to cost me no more than $250 and that is providing my own fluids. Looking at the service requirements in the service schedule, there isn't anything out of the ordinary compared to previous major services that I have had. I will be adding about $100-$150 to that though because I will be getting a transmission fluid change.

The silver mesh with black Aurion combination works quite well. Once again, it is about breaking things up and getting the look right. Don't ponder on it too long though otherwise you may never be able to reach an agreement with yourself. Then if you experiment with black mesh, you may think to yourself "this looks alright", when the silver was much better but by this time, now you don't know. I would personally say to leave it silver.

That sucks to hear Ash. I'll keep an eye out for any set that I see go on sale on the net since I will be spending quite a bit of time here at home. EC11WA: As far as I'm aware, I've only seen one set of TRD rims go on sale for eBay (lucky buyer got them for around $800 as well), so I would imagine there is at least one owner out there with as set of TRD rims on a standard Aurion.

Lucky for the heads up for everyone else. At one point in time I was considering doing this and would have been a little disappointed to find out it had holes in the body to help line it up.

Still 7's. Don't know about the weight. Really don't have the energy to take mine off the car right now to weigh it. Doubt there is any. I really don't care about the size they look. I thought you would have realised that by now.

The Kappa's require the shank-style lug nuts as per the image below (just with a longer head), so as long as you can find shank-style lock nuts, you would be fine.

I may as well mention this now. Was going to say it all and have photos of them fitted etc, but due to illness, these are just going to be sitting around in my garage now for a while until I am well enough to get them fitted/wash the car/take photos etc. Nothing too fancy... they are still 17 inch. So essentially I just have these as a change of wheel design.
