  1. A normal mechanic can do it, but obviously a trans specialist will be better as they do it day in and day out.
  2. Rack end ball joints? Steering ball joints? Lower control arm bushes? Sway bar end links?
  3. Never let service interals stretch that long again, you will only end up destroying your engine and costing yourself far more than the price of the service. I would definitely get an engine oil flush done, to try and remove the sludge that you have no doubt accumulated.
  4. Remove the key ring loops from the key. There is a small slot in the seam of the key (at the same end as the loop hole) for a screwdriver to pop it open.
  5. You may be able to source one via a locksmith; however, it probably won't be cheap either way.
  6. https://www.amayama.com/en/search?q=55420-28300
  7. Make sure that the door switches are fully depressed and operating correctly when closed. I have seen these trigger false alams before.
  8. LOL I doubt the refrigerant last long before boiling. You would then need to run a full A/C system with the evaporator acting as the WTA intercooler, even then it would be terrible. Dry ice would be good in the short term, but not good over the long term.
  9. I am not basing this my car only. I worked for a while with some fleet vehicles, that had almost the exact same feel to them. It's almost like: press accelerator, pause, wait for the trans to decide on a gear...power.
  10. Intercoolers are designed to cool the heated, compressed air from a turbocharger or supercharger with ambient air or water. These temperature differences are far greater than Matt is experiencing, so intercooling is almost pointless and definitely a waste of money.
  11. It's a dust deflector for a wheel bearing. I used to own an EL Falcon wagon, parts were cheaper as a general rule.
  12. Have some custom brackets made and get the vehicle mod plated for a seat modification.
  13. To temperatures, yes. It would help.
  14. It's a 1.6mm thick(84mm dia.) piece of sheet metal that has been pressed into a ring. To get one air freighted from Japan is around $20.
  15. No. 98 octane unleaded does not clean oil and carbon deposits from the intake, nor does it clean them very well from the pistons, valves and ports.
  16. Yes, there a plenty of thermal wrap/tape options on the market as well.
  17. Not sure if we are on the same planet.
  18. That's very unfortunate. Have you made anyone angry lately? It seems odd that they didn't steal anything.
  19. It should fit in with minimal modifications, if any to the engine mounts. You will need to modify wiring, exhaust. If you want to run a front mount intercooler, you will need to factor that in as well. I think your best option, based on your experience, is to have a workshop complete the swap. You could be looking in the range of $7,000-$10,000 depending on where you you go.
  20. Have the driveshafts or right side driveshaft carrier bearing been checked at all?
