  1. If I had my time again I would have sold our Aurion before the warranty ran out. These cars are plagued with various issues. VVT-i rattle, melting dashes, problematic oil hoses. In regards to your questions. 1. Have you turned the vents to recirculate or are they open air? 2. It is likely the intermediate steering shaft knock. Google it, there are heaps of posts and a few fixes on Youtube. 3. Keep on them about it. I am pretty sure(but not certain) that there was a recall on these. Ours was done without prompting our dealer.
  2. Looks like it came up a treat.
  3. It will definitely breathe better, not sure it will net you much better fuel figures though. When it comes down to it, it's a heavy vehicle for the engine it has in it. It will always struggle economy unless you just sit on a flat highway.
  4. Someone with a little more experience on the later models may be able to confirm or squash this; but, I have a feeling they might be soldered LEDs.
  5. I am assuming you mean the one below? I think it would look funny with the small factory lights. You may be able to custom make some brackets to fit in between the "horizontal" bars.
  6. Probably not a lot. Driving habits will be your best option. Removing any unnecessary weight and roof racks if you have them.
  7. Sounds like the motor is on it's way out. Check to see you have the correct voltage getting to it before replacing it.
  8. Give it a good clean as well. It looks filthy, which does not help tracing the source of the leak. As best I can see it appears to be the hose or maybe the valve cover gasket, but I can't put any certainty on that. Add wider shot pics for better referencing.
  9. Alternatively you can buy one of these spill free funnels. They work really well with almost no mess. They are rather expensive though.
  10. That should be very usuable power, with a solid ECU behind it. Do they run the turbofold? Turbine housing cast into the exhaust manifold?

  12. Huh? What did I do? I am a bit of a badge snob(currently own 3 Toyotas, had 5 in total); but, I would love to drive the V8 Genesis Coupe. Not sure if they have delivered any in Australia yet, or if they plan to. Hyundai have stepped up their game since the early days and make quality cars now. I can see some of the lesser companies doing the same thing in the future.
  13. There is no class action. Just go and see your dealer to get the issue sorted. Some dealers can make the experience more painful than others.
  14. You may be better off trying to pick a Gregorys or Haynes hard copy up from eBay. A few members(other models) have also had luck with the cheapy CD ones that you can find on there.
  15. I wish I had the photo of my old boss's petrol Hilux muffler. It was opened up like a tin can.
  16. Please wait for replies in your own topics and not bring back old ones from almost 4 years ago. Thank you.

  18. I am 99% sure you will need a locksmith.
  19. I would say the biggest issue would be over fuelling and fouling plugs. May damage the exhaust if it backfires. That is all I can think of at this time of night.
