Thursday night Dinner meet up

Recommended Posts

Mmmm R33 GTR!!

I will try to keep up.

Rowan -> OMG!!! Welcome to AWD goodness....change those tyres to fatter ones, whack on an ECU tune and you'll almost be on par with an Evo for $20k less.

My car has to last me another 7 or 8 years, I don't have the money to change one every other year....got to pay off that house sooner or later!

I'm happy for anyone to ride shotgun with me this Thursday, as long as:

1) No screaming

2) No vomitting

OMG... shotgun!

clio sport all the way, any vtec civic you can think of.

Just don't waste your time getting a Renault serviced at Renault. You'll wait 3 months for the wrong parts  And then get the right part the next day from a specialist...

And none of the i-VTEC cars sold at the moment are worth handing any money over for.

I'm not saying stick to Toyota, but their current lineup lacks a sporty model.

i did some reading to understand before commenting here

colt weighs 1130 kg, 90 kg less than the sportivo

not that light. and they say the gearing is sht in 1st and 2nd

i did read plenty of stock ones running mid 15's, remember superdave ran 15.1 bone stock in a sportivo

i did see your comment later 313 on 2007 model, that makes it a little harder indeed. what happened to the blue subaru idea?

Far out. All this talk about changing car makes. We have to kick you guys out from the Thursday meets now otherwise it won't be a Toyota Owners Meet anymore. We need to find some new recruits since everyone has pretty much jumped ship.

Yeah. I think he realised that all show, no go wasn't quite for him

Just messin' with ya man. Our cars run practially the same, yours just had some gear on it that dropped it's performance a notch, but made it one sick looking ride. I would have loved to style my Aurion like that and roll on some deep dish 20's, but someone's gotta retain the Sportivo'ness of the Aurion.

I should give you a ride in my Aurion towards the end of next week. Hopefully by then I should have a few surprises for you.

In the meantime though, I guess I will be at the back of the pack for the Nebo run this week. My budget hasn't accounted for new tires yet.

1.04.88, thats the time i found out of a colt ralliart around qr

313, it's a huge change from a sexy aurion, but hell, that's damn respectable

i'd suggest it was pretty well modded when it went past a ls1 down the main street,

i'd also want to know whether it was on slicks or not.

thanks dude, i love the look of my car and for it being a sick cruiser and a quick car but ever since all the boys on here man-handle themselfs over going to the track, and realising my car cant do that its a bit gay. mountain runs arent the best in it unless its smooth cos my tire distroys the guard. went to a cruise on sunday and had 1 person in the back and looked trick as but i was painting the whitewalls on my car blue from the rubbing lol. and to top it off ive been driving my mates 7th gen celica which has lows on it and u can corner in that like ive never cornered in my car, just normal cornereing for him would be not acceptable in mine, so that just toppled me over the edge lol. i should probly just buy coilovers and stop wingeing like a little b|tch!

Yeah. I think he realised that all show, no go wasn't quite for him

haha it has alot of go....in a stright line not if you turn haha

OK kids I need definate numbers for tomorrow night by 9pm tonight. If you want to talk about cars to buy and sell then do it in a thread for that. I've just read 2 and a half pages trying to get numbers for tomorrow night and read nothing about the event at all really.

We can park opposite the restaurant in Adelaide st from 7pm onwards so the restaurant owner has told me.

also can everyone please bring cash to make paying bills easier if it is one bill per table.

cheers SB

98 RON in the tank, HKS air filter installed, airsick bags in the glovebox, all ready to take on the mountain!

I might need them...

If you’re driving a Toyota TRD Aurion, make sure you’ve said your goodbyes and completed your will kit before heading off!

bwhaha, so thats why you got rid of the TRD?

Well that was a great way to blow a few minutes. Interesting read though. Lucky for us that we have Mt. Nebo.

I like point 7 at the end. "I don’t recommend this drive for big family cars".... really hey.

LOL at point 10. "If you’re driving a Toyota TRD Aurion, make sure you’ve said your goodbyes and completed your will kit before heading off!"... The TRD let alone the Aurion isn't that bad isn't it Elgin.

And Mick, you'll probably get enough G's through you to keep everything inside.

The TRD actually does Nebo pretty well, it's just these reviewers all have mixed feelings about the car. An Aurion Sportivo with your strut bar and sway bar already does an impressive job.

The only person I have held up over Nebo is Northy!!
