Fake Brembo Brakes

I was out talking to some customer today when i noticed these bright red Calipers on a .... Hyundai Sonata (it was the V6 though thankfully) & as i got closer i could make out the Brembo logo on the side and started thinking to myself, why the hell would you spend that sort of money on brakes for a Sonata?? but then i seen that it was just some sort of plastic cover over the standard calipers, but from a distance you'd never know! i think they must of been like these ones here in this pic.

yeah i had a good old laugh about it when i seen they were fake, the owner is old guy too so not real sure why he's gone for some sporty calipers, sort of thing you expect to see on the local revheads VS/VT bombodore. Still what are they made out of that stops them from melting?

But they are such a cheap brake improvement! They increase your stopping power heaps...

...when the plastic melts and bonds your calipers to your rotors! ;)
